This was our second stay and it was lovely! You cannot beat the location being a short walk to the beach. Great pool with a little shallow area too. Plenty of towels and pool toys. We can’t wait to come back.

Perfect place to stay on Siesta with your well-behaved dogs! I almost hate to leave a review as it is hard enough to find available dates here as is :) Private pool & short walk to beach accesses and not too far from the village. Just enough grass in the fully fenced backyard for your pups to do their business (there is also a nice swath of grass in front and across the street if your dogs need to be walked). We left a pooper scooper so everyone can easily clean up after their dogs. Shed was PACKED with beach carts, chairs, pool and beach toys! We travel with a carrier attached to our car hitch and we appreciated having enough space to tuck that away in there while we stayed for safekeeping. Towels are aplenty and if you run out there is always the on-premise laundry. More than average amount of parking available for the island. Loved having the comfortable king sized bed. Allowed an early check in, no problem & extremely understanding of a mistake I made during stay

The house was clean. When I booked, I stated we were going for my birthday. There were birthday balloons in the house when we arrived:) It's great having your own pool. If you are with kids, it's nice because there is a shallow end or a place to lay in to keep cool if you aren't with kids. Easy walk to the beach and village. Would definitely stay again:)

Great value. Very responsive owner. Just make sure you realize there is no cable. You will have to utilize your own accounts. Wireless works perfect.

When we got there there was garbage in the backyard and the cleaners were still there 48 mins later than my check in. There were dirty dishes left for me to take care of. A pantry/closet door in a bedroom fell on my kids head. I let all this go but the property manager/owner messaged me saying I never paid a pet fee that I 100% did and confirmed with VRBO that I did.. I did more cleaning being there than a guest should but on top of that was talked horribly to by the owner.

This property was perfect for our little family. There is a pack n play in the room with a mirror that was not listed in the description. Very easy walk to public beach access point but not a very busy part of the beach at all. Outdoor shower for easy rinse off. Pool had one umbrella, we rented another for the beach that we used at the pool too for shade in the mid afternoon. Great stay!!!

This property was exactly as advertised. Cute, roomy, very close to the beach, and the private pool was great! I would only give three suggestions. Turn the heater in the pool up a few more degrees; it was pretty cold. An outside dining table would make the outside area perfect. And finally, some check in instructions would be helpful. Such as where the laundry is located (it’s next door), how to adjust the thermostat, and if there are specifics you need to do when checking out. All in all it was a great stay. If we return to Siesta Key, we’ll definitely stay here again!

While the communication with the host was a bit off (maybe be had a lot going on, but it was odd at best), this property is wonderful. The owner is clearly updating and improving this property. There are obvious upgrades and updates throughout the home. It is an old home, so some of the charm does lend to imperfections but this was by far one of our favorite VRBO rentals. The home is spacious with comfortable furniture, an awesome pool and pool area and so many helpful things already there for your stay. The beach and house towels were clean and fresh (plentiful) as was the bedding and pillow choices. The kitchen is super nicely done. (There are some cracked tiles and what not but by the time anyone reads this, I bet Gary has it addressed . ) Other negatives were: only one bathroom (not a deal breaker), small shower I'm terms of space between wall with shower head and wall behind you, some signs of mold above bathroom ceiling (vent had mold around it) which could just be a small fix. (There was NOT a mildew or moldy /damp smell) the house was very very clean and smelled nice. This home is very cute and is in a nice, quiet area with an easy walk to the beach access. The Village is a short drive or a 10 min walk. Our only real complaint is that you don't (as a guest) seem to have any control of the thermostat. We sleep hot and simply wanted to turn the air down (not drastically just not 74 like it was stuck at ) but we could not change it. We messaged the host about it and we're ignored. As I said, communication wasn't the best. However, the host / owner is a real person who has his own life and it was not any kind of emergency. I do feel like if we had any actual urgent need or anything from him, he would have been responsive. We would definitely love to stay here again if it is just us and our daughter. However, although there is room to comfortably sleep several people, there is only one bathroom. So if you have a large family or group that is something to consider. This home is definitely a great, special place though and I have a feeling the owner is only going to keep making it better!

Overall great experience. Cute cottage. Great pool. Host needs to leave instructions how to work the TV (no cable) how to heat the pool (the pool guy actually told me near the end of the week) what to do upon leaving. Strip beds? Garbage? Also should leave more than one key and supply dishwasher soap.

We had a great time staying here for a long weekend. The property was great and exactly as advertised. Owner communicated beforehand regarding check in procedures and the house was very clean. Unfortunately when we arrived none of the televisions were working and when we reached out to the owner for assistance we never heard back. We were not able use them for the entirety of our stay. This was the only disappointing part of our experience.

We loved our stay at this property. Plenty of space for our family (two adults, three kids 7, 3 & 3). Pool is the perfect size and has a larger play shelf area great for non-swimmers or those still learning. Kitchen has everything you need and ample space. We did not use the dine-in bar w the barstools but would be great for older kids or adults. Beds were comfortable, plenty of room. Quick walk to either beach access 11 or 10 and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Village. Trolley stop is 2-3 minutes away and takes you all over Siesta Key. We are locals who just needed a quick getaway with our kids and this did not disappoint. There were beach chairs, cart and some inflatables for the pool. Chairs weren't in the best shape so we are glad we brought our own. Great WiFi and streaming services integrated in the TV. Both my husband and I were able to work while away and had no issues there.

What an amazing relaxing stay we had! Just as described and cute property! We will be back.

To begin, the house was super clean and orderly. The kitchen had all the utensils and even seasoning and everything you could need. The neighborhood was nice quiet and cozy. Great family home even pet friendly! Even small pets! The pool is amazing! The house even comes with chairs and floaties for the pool/ocean. The only comment I have is to be aware the grill is not a gas grill so make sure to bring lighter. We have recommended that house to friends and plan to return next year! So definitely a great stay for small family or friends.

House was excellent! Enjoyed are stay of 7 days! House had everything we needed beach equipment, towels, cooking utensils etc. Hope to stay here again when we visit! Location was great to beach and village!!

The only problem was the owner said that his cleaners charged him extra for deep cleaning and stain removal. We had cleaned the house, emptied all trash, stripped beds, placed towels in hamper, cleaned out refrigerator and freezer, cleaned pool area. So it was unclear to me what the extra money was for?

This is a wonderful place to stay! It is a short walk to the best beach we have been to & the property is clean. The private pool is very nice as well. Our family had a great time! Thank you Gary and Stacey!

Location was within walking distance to beach and dining. Had all the amenities needed. The pool was perfect for the kids. The owners were very nice and check in was very easy. Will definitely want to rent again when I plan on vacationing in Siesta Key.

We were so excited to be one block from the beach with our own pool and visit with friends (with new baby) who were in town from Connecticut. We drove 8 hours to find someone already in the house. It was double booked. Since the other people were already there, we were asked to stay somewhere else. Gary was nice enough to find us a place to stay, it was a very busy weekend, but it was on the other side of the bridge and took 45 min to get on and off the key. We were also allowed to park and leave some of our beach stuff at the original location which was a nice gesture. Gary refunded our money and paid for our stay in the other location but we were pretty disappointed with the logistics of going anywhere and our friends couldn’t really visit with the baby in the alternate location. We also bought a bunch of food on the way in and the alternate location didn’t have any way to cook it. I would say that Gary did the best he could in a not so great situation but he has yet to reach out to fulfill some of the other compensation promised from that weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was adorable and perfect for our needs. I took my four oldest children on vacation, and it was an easy and short 2 block walk to the beach, access 11, and a 1 minute car ride to Siesta Key Village. The kids spent a ton of time in the pool. We really couldn't ask for for. I plan to absolutely book a stay here again on our next trip to Sarasota. Gary always responded quickly with any questions I had. Great experience!

House location and pool are what make this property so special! We stayed with our toddler (family of 3), who loved the quick beach walk and pool’s sun shelf. Would stay again for those features alone. PROS: location, pool, dog friendly, AC control was a non-issue which is something we were worried about based on another review (just took time to learn to use Nest thermostat), beach and pool amenities provided, neighbors are super friendly, SKV is a 15 min walk away CONS: garage apartment renovations going on at property during our stay, home could use a deep clean, we transferred to dryer and folded laundry from prior tenant. Master bedroom has a King bed which was a nice surprise but the bed could use a replacement, we called it “The Pit”. There is a new house being built next door, construction 6 days/week. OVERALL: would recommend and stay here again. this property will be even better once the construction projects are completed. I hope it will stay rented as one unit vs two with a shared pool.

Gary’s home was absolutely perfect! We went to beach access 10 and 11 during our stay that are both a one minute walk to beach. We walked to coffee every morning to mojo risen that was terrific and walked to restaurants every night! The home had all the essentials you would need to stay a week or a month! The beds were comfortable and the home was so cozy. The backyard is filled with palms and a beautiful pool that you can layout on. We cannot wait to come back next year! Thank you Gary!

My wife son and I had a great time here. The house has all of the essentials including a washer and dryer on the property. There are plenty of condos with crowded public pools in the area but nothing beats kicking back at the pool and cooking out after a long day at the beach. Town is a 15 minute walk, the beach only 5. The popularity of Siesta these days means proximity to the beach equates to some night time noise in the neighborhood.

This property was exactly as described. It worked well for our family and dog. Nice neighborhood and very convenient to beach access.
