We had a great time. The home was clean and in a good location.

Location was excellent. Far enough off Rt 28 to be quiet, but still easy access to all stores, etc. Beach was small, but warm water and soft sand made if quite nice. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also, a nice neighborhood feel to the place, unlike a lot of cottages that we have rented before.

My family enjoyed our stay despite suboptimal weather. The biggest advantage of this property is that it is very close to the beach, 5-7 minute walk. There were a lot of beautiful hydrangeas along the way, which added to our enjoyment. The swimming was good too. The house is older but we found everything we needed. Nice backyard. Importantly, Carmela (the owner) was very responsive to our needs/questions.

Had a great time in this cozy cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable. A very short walk to the local beach which was great for the kids. The dog loved walking to the beach as well. Easy access to restaurants and activities. Definitely would recommend this cottage.

Very nice house with everything you need. The beach is in Lewis bay, shallow water equals warm water. It’s also at a short walk distance which makes it easy to go to after a day of visiting even with a 2 years old toddler. The outside shower is a big plus. We had a great time!

The house was in a great place and the backyard was very nice. When we went into the house, we encountered a very musty smell which was partly due to the fact that the furniture was very old and it had been closed up. We got the 2 air conditioners and several fans going to cool the interior down. The cleaners had done a very poor job. The floors in the entire house were still sandy. I don't know when the floor had been washed previously, but we had to buy a mop and clean the kitchen floor several times before all the dirt and grime were removed. When we went to make coffee the first morning, we found the grounds from the previous renter still in the pot. The cleaners didn't even check those things out. We were told to bring our linens and towels which is common practice on the Cape, but thank goodness I brought a couple of dishtowels because there were none there. That was not mentioned originally. The furniture was not the same that had been pictured in the listing. It was very old and uncomfortable. The couch could have been vacuumed carefully to get the sand off the cushions. The other thing that surprised me was that there were ant traps around the house. Our dog managed to find one and was chewing on it. I removed one in one of the bedrooms. I understand that some kind of deterrent might be needed, but not something that could hurt a dog (especially since this was a dog friendly rental). I have learned a big lesson. We will only rent through a realtor and after we have been able to see the residence in person. Carmela was very nice and helpful in many ways, but when you try to manage a rental from a long distance it isn't always successful.

Located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach, this rental provided me with just the right amount of peace and quiet. It was the best vacation I have had in a very long while. The only negative thing I can say is that when I arrived, it didn’t seem like it had been recently cleaned. No worries, I cleaned upon arrival and again before I left. Other than that, the house and the location was just what I needed.

Very nice and convenient

The cottage is on a quiet sandy lane close to a nice beach perfect for walks with our pups. Location makes this home a wonderful getaway. Carmela makes the rental process pleasant and easy! Thanks for responding to all my emails so quickly. When we thought there was a fenced yard and found there wasn't on arrival, Carmela offered to provide us with a dog pen to use in the back yard. The AC in the queen bedroom and the living room made the humid nights comfortable as well as plenty of fans throughout.

The house was within walking distance to the beach. Very private property that was clean. The owner was a pleasure to communicate with. Really good choice for a family.

This house was perfect for us, loved the fact that we only had to walk to the beach 5 minutes, people around were very friendly, the house was clean and comfortable. The only down side was that it rained for one day and the house has direct tv, unfortunately direct tv does not work when is raining. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I will definitely try to get the same house next summer.

This is the cutest coziest little cottage. It was so homie and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. My kids and dog enjoyed it very much. Everyone felt right at home the entire week. The neighborhood is so quiet during the day and most nights. It's perfect for getting some much needed sleep and relaxation. Neighbors were very nice and friendly. There were paths for biking, walking, and enjoying the weather with the dog and kids. Beach was great, we went there in the morning with our dog and walked to the other one that has swings for my boys. Seagull beach is only a 10 min bike ride and great for evening strolls. There's so much to do and see around and everything is literally right in Yarmouth so we didn't have to drive far for anything. The owner is so great with making sure you have everything and responds almost immediately with any questions or concerns. She even had a broom dropped off for us. So sweet of her. The only negative, was no washer and dryer. We have two little ones, always getting dirty and messy, so that would have been great. But we made do, without going to the launder mat. Other than that we would come back in heart beat. Wish we could have had some nicer beach weather. But over all the weather was great for outdoor activities with the kids throughout the week. We had a great stay. Highly recommended.

Amazing location, great family time!

It's tough to write a review for a place that you fall in love with over the years, and we'd love not to share it, but here it goes. The house has everything you need, though no swimming pool (but who really cares with the awesome beach just 2 min walking distance) and it is in very decent shape. The street is really quiet so it helps a lot to get immerse into vacation mood. The beaches along Lewis bay are really great for swimming (warm and relatively clean waters) and tons of little creatures for kids to have fun.

House was located on a nice quiet street with a short walk to the beach and close to many attractions and restaurants. The house was equipped with everything we needed for the week. The only things that we needed to bring were linens and food. I would suggest maybe a second tv in one of the bedrooms and an enclosed outdoor shower. Loved the privacy of the backyard. The area was nice to walk around on our nightly walks with our dog. Perfect for our family of 4 and our dog. Thanks!

The house is the perfect size for a vacation getaway and the location is wonderful. My husband and I have 2 small kids and 2 medium-sized dogs and we had plenty of space. Being able to walk to see fireworks on the 4th was priceless. The walk to the beach is short enough for a 4 year old to handle with ease. The neighborhood is quiet and there are lots of routes for the avid dog walker. The private backyard is a major plus for kids who love to play outside during meal prep time. The owner is kind and very responsive to questions. The only items on our wish list are a gas grill and an enclosed outdoor shower. Other than that- perfection!

This was the second year in a row I've rented this home and it is perfect for us. It has all the comforts of home. The owner is very pleasant to work with, the house is clean, and you cannot beat the location!

Our stay was good, the weather was nice the week we were there. The house was cute, the beds comfy. The yard is very private. I brought my gas grill with us, instead of using the charcoal one they have at the house. I would suggest the owner invest in a sleep sofa and window ac for the second BR and living room.

We stayed in this house one week in August 2015. Everyone in the family loved the house, piano was a great surprise for our young pianist. Backyard is adorable and very private. Walk to the beach is very pleasurable. Beach itself is not very clean, some garbage was on the beach. The water was clean though, not much seaweed in the water. One big problem, the one that will prevent me from renting this house again, is that even though it looked like it had 2 AC units, none of them were able to keep comfortable temperature inside, no matter how we tried to help it. We let the owner know, so hopefully this could be fixed.

this rental was.perfect for my husband & I and our 3 small dogs. beach was less than 5 minute walk and was beautiful. cottage was roomy and nice I would definitely recommend this rental. and would rent it again.
