We really enjoyed sitting on deck eating our meals taking in all that the river has to offer. Inside was very pleasant also with full views of the river. The only glitch was losing electricity due to a storm of course over which no one had control. James was very helpful under the circumstances by bringing us flashlights and some battery operated lights. He even offered to move us to another location but we liked it so much there that we chose to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. The house was very comfortable and the view was amazing. If we ever return to Louisville, we plan on staying here again.

My wife and I stayed at the River House for 4 nights. I was extremely impressed with the view, location and having all the comforts of home right at our fingertips. This was our 4th stay at this charming rental and every visit has been wonderful. Conveniently located to dining and entertainment, nicely decorated, well appointed, with amazing river and sunset views. Manager communication is A+.

The property is in a great location with a terrific river view. Very comfortable and inviting, and many items stocked in kitchen, like coffee and snacks. The home could use some updating. For example, the faucets need repair and the shower hot water is tepid. Birds constantly hitting the mirrored windows was also an unfortunate (and daily) annoyance, and there ought to be some prop or other means to eliminate this.

Well decorated and nicely provisioned property located directly on the Ohio River. Location is great - is convenient to many restaurants and just a few miles from Louisville. James responds quickly in the rare event you have a question. View is fantastic! Seeing the beautiful sunsets and watchid barges pass was very entertaining. This was our 3rd visit and won't be our last.

Wonderful view

My family and I visited the area and were thrilled to be able to stay in this beautiful home for a long weekend. The views from the back of the house are picturesque and peaceful. We spent our evenings watching the water and the boats as they went by. The house is perfect in every way. It is decorated wonderfully. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and eating dinner at the large bar. When we are back in the area, I look forward to staying here again!

We enjoyed staying at this house on the river. It was so cozy and comfortable. Close to downtown so you can easily get to many locations in 10-15mins. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

A great riverside location, with expansive river views and only 10mins to downtown Louisville. The sunsets were epic and there was always something to see on the river. Well appointed kitchen and electronics. Definitely worth considering.

Went to Louisville for an extended weekend getaway and would definitely recommend this property for anyone traveling as a couple or individual. The views of the river are incredible and the property was in good condition. The location was great...we felt like we were 10-15 minutes away from basically anything we wanted to do in the city. It is right by the road but the noise of the street didn't bother us too much at night. Would recommend this as a great place to stay

Fantastic River House! It was great visiting my hometown and being able to relax and enjoy the best view in Louisville! This place is perfectly located, was clean, and just like described and as in the online photos. I hope this place is available during my next visit home. James, the host was great! Super easy to check in and out.

This was a perfect spot for a getaway! The house is beautiful with a view of the river from every room! The big comfy sofas, bedding and even snacks left were great. The property is close to distilleries, downtown, restaurants etc. We look forward to staying again!

This was a great place to relax and see the fireworks for the fourth of July. It was 15 minutes to most places we visited. Next time I would try some of the restaurants nearby. Bring eyeshades if you like to sleep late because of the windows and skylights. I also used earplugs as it is right by the road. I would definitely not let this keep you from coming and enjoying the view. We will be back!

Centrally located, easy drive to just about everything. Wonderfully relaxing. James was an amazing host and they have really thought of all the small details to make your stay welcoming!

Great location on the river. Love the views!!!!

This is one-of-a-kind property, masterfully designed to maximize amazing views. The entire river side of the house is floor-to-vaulted-ceiling windows. The open floor plan makes this cozy home feel large. It’s close to everything but feels surprisingly remote and tranquil. We were amazed at the wildlife—geese, ducks, cardinals, robins, and even river otters. Watching otters take their “dinner cruises” just after sunrise and before twilight was a highlight. They come very close to the shore so you can see them up close and personal. We soon realized that the evening sunsets are so magical that we didn’t want to waste a minute going out for dinner. Instead, we enjoyed take-out on the patio. Sunrises were also enchanting—we turned the living room chairs to face the river so we could watch the beauty unfold while enjoying our morning coffee. Each passing hour of the day brings unique light and unveils a new subtlety to discover. The home itself is well-appointed and smells fresh and clean. James was VERY helpful and went the extra mile to help us with questions.

We had the perfect weekend, even though our team lost, because of James and our stay!! He was there to answer every question we had and he accommodated us to our specific needs!! It is the perfect getaway!!! You don’t feel like you are literally just minutes from downtown but the conveniences of downtown just add to the stay!!! The only complaint we had was we wished we could have stayed longer!!

We cannot explain the beauty of this house. The views are amazing!! Watching the boats on the river and the stunning views of the sunset are incredible!! We had a wonderful stay! Location is just minutes from downtown Louisville and several distillaries. Awesome sunsets over the river and views of downtown. James and the owner were very responsive for anything we needed.
