Unfortunately, our stay was business related and we didn’t have much time to enjoy the beautiful setting and very comfortable house. The house is beautifully decorated with everything you need. I did manage to have a glass of wine while sitting on the deck most nights. We will be back next year.

Hill House is a top pick. The gated deck is wonderful. Beautiful view. The house was clean and well decorated. Loved the open kitchen, dining and living room with plenty of room. We would definitely rent Hill House again. :)

The property was exactly as posted. It was spacious and clean, recently updated with a lovely layout. We loved using the kayak and paddleboard in our little corner of Lake Martin. We enjoyed eating at Kowaliga and Lake Martin Pizza Co. There are several nearby trailheads and we hiked and enjoyed the views from The Deadening. We took the owners recommendation and used Chad for a fishing excursion that was fantastic. Beautiful home that is well-equipped. Owners were informative and helpful. A wonderful stay!

These folks have it down, and it shows. Beautiful home with dock with electric power. Their instructions were spot on, which made our stay that much nicer.

Great quiet spot for a long weekend getaway

We had such a relaxing stay on the lake!! The house is comfortable and clean and exactly as described. Our pup loved lounging on the dock. We had everything we needed to have a quiet weekend away. Thank you for everything!

My husband and I stayed at Hill House for 11 nights. It was not long enough, and I was very sad to leave. Everything was perfect - the host, the accommodations, the location, and the weather. We were pleased with everything about our stay, and we will definitely be back - until we get our own lake place😊

This property is exactly as it appears in the listing. Very clean when we arrived. New deck made a wonderful spot to enjoy views of the lake. Very peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed using the kayak provided along with the two we brought with us. Plenty of room for us to celebrate our granddaughter’s graduation and Army commissioning as a family. Would sincerely recommend this property!!

We stay at this property a few times a year and it never disappoints.

Communication with the owner was good. The property was exceptionally clean and we had a nice time. We arrived after dark and it was pretty challenging to get in. Why the lock isn’t on the kitchen door off of the driveway was beyond us. It was hard to figure out where the gate was on the deck because it looks like a straight fence. We walked around the house several times in the dark (and rain) before we figured it out! Leaving a light on the deck when you are expecting guests would solve the issue. The home is located much further from the Auburn campus than we expected (an hour each way) and that really wasn’t ideal. The next door neighbor is an old run down trailer and the neighbors on the other side played really loud bass music throughout the weekend. The property itself is nice even with the neighborhood being disappointing. The other comment we’d make is that, even though the owner clearly communicated that they do not provide toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc (after we booked the property) we just found in this to be really cheap. We have rented several other properties on Lake Martin that provided so much more for the same rent or less. We will likely choose one of those properties again over this one for that reason.

The house was very clean, comfortable, roomy and very relaxing. We loved hanging out on the private pier watching the boats and swimming in the lake. Perfect location and great to be able to have our 2 dogs. Very nice family to rent from!

The property was beautiful, clean, and exactly what we needed. We enjoyed floating in the lake with the floats provided. The owner was very kind and answered any questions promptly. I hope to stay here again in the summers to come.

Everything was perfect at The Hill House!! I enjoyed being on the water but also tucked away in the cove giving shade to the times we spent on the porch in the mornings drinking coffee and on the dock in the afternoons while waiting to take the boat out. Dock was perfect for our boat and we enjoyed getting to bring our boat and explore Lake Martin more on our own time! Loved how close the restaurants by boat were! Loved the book with suggestions for places to eat and things to see and do while on the water!! No issues at all but would suggest maybe some lights leading to the dock or on the dock…maybe solar powered just to give some light when going down to the dock in the evenings 🥰We will definitely be back!

The owner was great with communicating with us. Looking forward to booking our 3rd stay next year at Little Kowlidga.

We had a great week at this lake house. Traci made sure that everything was communicated clearly. The weather was wonderful and the house accommodated our party of six perfectly. We're already looking forward to coming back.

Great week however; The only concern is the dock needs to have yellow strips on the steps... the past two years we had two injuries. Particularly the first step because it is shallow and you cant tell the difference from the space in the boards vs depth. Thank you

Moving my oldest son's and roommate's furniture and belongings to storage until new apartment becomes available...ugh! Thank goodness I found this wonderful, dog friendly lake house available last minute to make a mini vacay out of it. The dock was perfect for our boat and kayaks. We were close to Kowaliga restaurant so we ate there our first night, boated to Chimney Rock and The Landing to eat the next day. Both were great! After a big day of moving we stopped by Catherine's Market and found some delicious steaks to grill while the boys fished. We loved the house! Cute and comfortable with everything we needed.
