The home definitely needs a deep clean and updating. The available pans need to be replaced as well. The kitchen is functional, but only for one person. The location is really only driving distance to the beach. Overall the rental was accurate in the description for the most part.

The mattresses were not very comfortable. The master bedroom needs to be changed out as well as the twin beds downstairs the owners need to put a bicycle tire pump somewhere in the house. Also it would be nice if the owners would put out some kind of and sign for what to do with the trash on what days

The property was mostly as advertised. The pictures in the listing reflect a newer home, but we found wear and tear, especially the bathrooms (cracked tiles, shower curtains that really need changing out), old microwave, refrigerator door doesn't close well unless pushed shut. We did enjoy the screened in porch, however the cushions for the seating are stained and should be changed out as well. On a positive note, the location was very good and the mattress in the master bedroom is comfortable.

This clean cottage was well-suited to our family's needs and we enjoyed our stay here. While the kitchen was small and the cause of several 'traffic jams', it was fully functional and had everything we needed to dine-in (a necessary vacation modification due to Covid). We enjoyed sharing meals around the big dining table and numerous stools--everyone could eat together (this is often not the case with rental homes). The kids enjoyed the smart TV (although us adults could never figure out how to watch a local station for weather updates, etc!) The use of the beach bikes was most appreciated--we used them for getting around and even going out to Freshfields for some provisions. And we really liked the seaside and starfish themed decor. Lastly, the screened porch in back was a lovely place to relax.

Great location only 5 minute bike ride from beach. Extra nice screened porch surrounded by palmetto trees. Would definitely rent again. Property management was exceptionally good and very responsive The one time we needed help.

It was a fine rental experience. We got a citation from the HOA for parking in the driveway but other than that it was a fine rental. Unit was clean and experience was fine.

Cottage is lovely. Back porch is ideal location for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. It is nice to have access to pools and club. A bit far from the beach by foot but quick by bike. Fortunately, two bikes are at the house!

It was a very quaint, clean, well decorated cottage.

The cottage was wonderful: I do wish Seabrook would invest in more bike trails and paths to the beach from the different communities.

We always enjoy our time on Seabrook. The island has become a bit of a home away from home. In the off season we loved walking and biking and generally just seeing more of the island. We had our Thanksgiving celebration just with our immediate family and it was a great day. The owners are clearly renovating and upgrading the property and doing the right things to make it inviting. The property is well equipped, nicely decorated and generally comfortable. Bathrooms could use some upgrading, but were fine. Appliances were serviceable, but could use some updating, however the kitchen was well equipped. The bikes provided were a huge plus and very much appreciated. We also appreciated the cable service and wifi access.

cottage is in a very pretty setting. we enjoyed the very well appointed kitchen, extra blankets and pillows. also a generous amount of beach towels. the bikes were also appreciated . we totally enjoyed a quick ride to fresh fields for groceries and lovely restraunts. the beach was very nice and private to go to in the morning to enjoy other peoples dogs and in the evening to watch the sunset. we would definitely make plans to go again

After a long drive from CT we made it to the cottage! I felt at home as soon as we walked in and the cottage was perfect! Everything we needed was there and the grocery was not far away. You really didn't need to leave if you didn't want to! The beach and pool were so close and the area to bike or walk was pleasant and relaxing. Charlston was a short jaunt down the road and full of some cool history and fun. I absolutely can not wait to come back and visit! Thank you so much for letting me enjoy your home! Ps my dogs loved it too! Oh if your going to stay definatly take the horses for a ride on the beach! Worth every penny!

The house was nicely decorated, and roomy for 5 people. The kitchen had nearly everything we needed, and the appliances worked well. The screened porch was fun to sit on. We spent a lot of time out there. It was nice to be able to bring our dog. Thank you for being dog friendly. We enjoyed renting bikes and being able to bike to the beach and pool. It was nice to be close enough to drive to Charleston also.The grill was very nice, and we used it several nights. Unfortunately, we were discouraged by the cleanliness. Because we were grateful we were allowed to bring our dog, we vacuumed and swiffered each evening. When we did so the first night, there was a lot of dirt and gray dog hair under chairs, in corners, and under beds. The floor was covered with a fine black dirt layer that came up when we swiffered. The guest bathtub did not drain well, and the shower liner is stained. The beds were not very comfortable. My 23 year old's bed felt like the mattress was too broken in. The screened porch floor and framing was very dirty. There was actually dirt all over the floor of the screened porch the first night. The front porch was also covered in dirt. I think it may have been from storms and the shade of the tree canopy, but should be power-washed. The carport area was also covered in mud. Because things were so wet, mosquitos were a huge problem. We couldn't spend any time outside even when wearing bug spray and cram. I don't want to be a Negative Nelly, and would possibly return again, but I think some upkeep should be a priority.

I was very impressed with the cottage, very comfortable and very peaceful! I enjoyed being able to use the fully equipped kitchen. It was very convenient to have Fresh Fields Village so close. I have many food allergies and was able to find all my gluten free other specialty foods there! I also found restaurants there I could eat at! And there are many nice shops there!! Seabrook island is so beautiful! The beaches are private . We would go and enjoy the water and walk the many miles of beaches, collect seashells and then sit and read a good book!!! We also went to Charleston for day trips! Absolutely a wonderful experience, lots of history and Market Street was definitely the place to be! I would definitely recommend Seabrook Island as a vacation spot !! I am definitely going to return and already have a list of things I want to do and explore!!!

This is a sweet little cottage that is nicely decorated and has a well equipped kitchen. The screened in porch is a bonus and you can sit out there with the fans on and it doesn’t get too terribly hot because of all the nice shade. I love they provide bikes. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. It was very relaxing. I’d give it 5 stars but we did have a few problems with ants and a very large spider that we had to call about. Also the blind to the screened in porch was broken and we had to take it down to get out if he door. They were very responsive to us and offered to fix that while we were there, but it wasn’t a huge deal so we said no. Also, I felt like it could have been a bit cleaner. There was a lot of dust behind the side table in the bed room that I would have called about but I just cleaned it up myself. I would recommend this house as I believe the owners would be quick to fix these problems.

Such a great set up for a family of 4 or 6! Loved that there were bikes and beach chairs there already because we couldn’t quite cram those into our packed car. Seabrook is a gorgeous place to visit to get away. Beaches aren’t crowded and there’s are plenty of activities. Places to eat are decent, but read their reviews completely. This isn’t really a touristy island so the choices are slim.

Driving to Seabrook Island is a treat for me because you cannot help but see the beauty of the trees and the houses along the route. Driving on Seabrook Island is relaxing from the time you see the first horse and the marsh. Unwinding for me began as soon as I saw the beautiful trees that lined the road to the cottage. The cottage was adorable and cozy! We enjoyed eating and hanging out on the screened back porch. The deer, turkeys, and other wildlife were fun to watch from the back porch too. Walking on the beach and watching the dolphins was also relaxing. We had everything we needed in the cottage and if we wanted something else that was not included like food and drinks, we drove to the village shops and did some good shopping, which was also relaxing. No need to leave Seabrook Island once you arrive. Really it just does not make sense to leave this island paradise. I wish we were still there.

We adored Seabrook resort. There is so much to do and everything is right outside the gate. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, etc. The beach and pool are very close to this property. The resort is very quiet (although Hurricane Irma was bearing down on us, so it likely wasn't as crowded as normal). The property was a perfect size for our family of four and the dog. Everyone had their own room and the kitchen was well stocked. The only reason this is a four star is that the there were some very minor cleaning issues that could be addressed. We found a half empty beer bottle near one of the beds and the shower curtains/liners have mildew and could be replaced. There was also a stain on one of the comforters. Sheets, pillows and towels were all very clean. The screened in back porch with fans was wonderful after a hot day at the beach. There was plenty of parking for two large trucks and the property is wooded with plenty of space to walk the dog. We are already looking at dates for next year.
