This house was perfect for our family. We've stayed in a lot of houses at Norris and this one will go down as a favorite! The views are so beautiful and the outside areas so welcoming. So many different spaces and areas that you never feel crowded and always have something to do. We enjoyed walking through Deerfield resort and having the winery and tiki bar so close by. The owners were great to deal with and we are hoping to book future stays here.

This house was perfect for our family. We've stayed in a lot of houses at Norris and this one will go down as a favorite! The views are so beautiful and the outside areas so welcoming. Spacious home, beautiful views, wonderful hosts! Our group of friends vacationed at this home for a long weekend and we had everything we needed. Lisa was very quick to answer all our questions and was so kind! The home is situated on a big hill overlooking Norris Lake - but the pictures do not do it justice! The rooms are very large and accommodating, and there are lots of great places to spend time together both inside and out. The kids especially loved the two seater swing down below. This home has a great location near to the pool (a short walk but some big hills), the neighborhood is close to several marinas (we rented a boat and jet skis to tour the lake), and about 30 minutes from hiking. Would not hesitate to book again! Thank you!

Our adult kids loved the basement and we loved the fireplace upstairs. The view of the lake off the deck is great. It is a little ways from things like hiking. We stayed in April which meant the lake was not an option. Too early in the year to rent a boat or be able to fish. We golfed and the course is tough but really beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying, but maybe more warmer weather time to enjoy lake. Owners we very helpful, responsive and answered any questions we had.

Wonderful place !!!

Amazing experience from beginning to end. The homeowner was quick to respond and very helpful during our trip. My family of six vacationed for 8 days with the kids attending virtual classes for 2 of the days. The wifi was strong with all of the kids online. Each of us had our own room and the three bathrooms was very helpful. The home is immaculate and the kitchen has all of the pots, pans, plates ect to cook for our large family. Amazing view of the mountains and the lake! Enjoyed watching the deer in the front yard each day. We were lucky enough to enjoy about 3 inches of snow on our last day. The home owner was so kind as to let us stay a few extra hours on our check out day to ensure the roads were safe for traveling. Highly recommend this rental. A great place to get away from it all!

The lake home is absolutely beautiful. Our large family had an amazing stay with so much space. The highlight of each day was seeing the deer in the front yard every morning and evening. We enjoyed our time so much we will be booking again next year.

We just returned from our 4 night stay at the Hanke Haus. This property is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. In years past, we all go home to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving. My family recently relocated to Charlotte, NC so this year I was tasked with finding a place where we could all meet that was of equal driving distance for all of us (Charlotte, Columbus OH and Indianapolis). This home exceeded all of our expectations...especially my mom’s (she’s picky and expects every rental to pass the white glove test). The kitchen was perfectly appointed with anything you might need/want. With 5 bedrooms, there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We enjoyed playing pool and corn hole and we’re glad they were available. Seeing the deer on the front lawn daily was a nice perk and the kids loved it. I’m glad I found this little slice of heaven in TN. We’ll be back!

This house is fantastic! Super close to Deerfield Cove Marina. We rented a slip at the Marina and were able to park our trailer at the bottom of the hill at the house all week. This house was absolutely perfect. It was clean, well stocked and large enough for our three families. The basement was great for hanging out after the kids went to bed. You can't go wrong with this fantastic home, we hope to come back next year.

Owners were great, let us know things that we needed to know before arriving, sent directions that were easy to follow.

If you are looking for a place to prop up your feet, watch the deer and relax. This is the place. Loved watching the deer come by. We had 7 deer in the yard on the last night.

It was a nice large house that was perfect for what we needed.

We loved the house and was comfortable for all of us. Everything we could have needed was supplied, and everything was clean. The view of the lake and wonderful decks were beautiful. We all, adults and children, enjoyed watching the deer. We took some amazing photos.

The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for all. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you would need. The location was great. It has a beautiful view. The wild life was a great surprise. There were 8-10 deer in the front yard each morning. We enjoyed the pool table and corn hole boards after a day on the lake. The boat slip at the marina was another reason to love this rental. We are planning on coming back next year.

My family was extremely happy with our 5 day stay at this beautiful lake house. We had every bed filled and still had plenty of room throughout the rest of the house. Tons of living space both indoors and out allowed us spend quality time relaxing, playing games and enjoying delicious meals. The views are absolutely spectacular and the serenity is like no other house we've stayed on Norris Lake. Just a couple recommendations for consideration to make this place absolutely perfect is a second refrigerator on the lower level would be extremely useful for large groups and some towel bars in the master bath.

We rented the house over a long Thanksgiving weekend. The house and the owners exceeded our expectations. The owners were great and very responsive. The house was clean and well appointed. Two living areas gave the little ones their own space to play in. Kitchen was well equipped. Decks were awesome. Loved seeing the deer in the yard everyday. Overall a great experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house over a long weekend! The layout of the house was great for the kids and had a lot of room to be indoors if needed. The decks were amazing and we found ourselves hanging out there the most and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Everything was well stocked and we had all that we needed to cook in and grill out. We rented a boat at the marina and had a fun time cruising around on such a beautiful lake! The owners were very easy to deal with and were helpful and quick to respond to our inquiries.

We have rented homes the past seven years for a multi family Thanksgiving vacation and last year we chose this home. It is probably the nicest place we've stayed in to date. The owners are very helpful and the house is fully stocked and clean. There is plenty of room to separate the youngsters from the older generation and it is just a very relaxing place to spend time. I would recommend this wonderful home without reservation!

Wow! Our stay at your home was terrific! The house is beautiful and was very spacious for all 12 of us. It lacked nothing. We loved the view of the lake from the deck and watching all of the deer in the yard. I would definitely consider staying here again for our next trip to Norris Lake!

The pictures of the Hanke Haus do not it justice. It is an absolutely beautiful property. The owners have thought of everything. We loved watching the deer walking around at all times of day and the views from the deck were spectacular. The only thing we would do differently next time is stay longer!

We loved our stay at the Hanke Haus! Beautiful, comfortable, relaxing, spacious, clean. All in all, perfect accomodations for our entire family! Loved the wrap around deck, especially in the morning to watch the deers! Can't wait to come back.

Wow...we just got back from a week at Norris. This house is absolutely amazing! It has tons of space and is perfect for larger families. The view of the lake is great and is just a few minutes drive to marina. The owners did a wonderful job decorating and this house has everything you would ever need to make your vacation very special. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer right in the front yard. It is in a very peaceful location. I would highly recommend this house! Cant wait to go back again.
