We really enjoyed our stay overall. Great location in terms of being pretty close to Bryson City, but still remote enough to feel like a retreat or true getaway. One minor thing to note regarding finding the place for the first time; it's helpful to have a passenger guide you with the directions provided (the ol' fashioned way) rather than relying on GPS as cell phone service is rather spotty in the area and GPS systems have a difficult time finding the location.
The cabin was clean, well kept/maintained and very comfortable for a family of 5.
Our only issue was during check-in when the instructions to get inside the cabin were a bit confusing. I had received email instructions from both the host (through VRBO) as well as Yonder (the property management company) but the instructions slightly varied between the two. One set of instruction referred to a lockbox while the other referred to the door code. And the order of the step-by-step instructions were slightly confusing. Ultimately, Yonder was very responsive and helped clarify the matter. We had a few other questions during our stay and each time Yonder was quick to respond.
Also worth noting; we specifically chose this cabin for it's close proximity to Fontana Lake. So if you're looking to be close to the lake for boating and/or the Nantahala River for rafting, this is a prime spot.

Most well equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in. Used the gas grill most nights and the hot tub. Great view and very peaceful.

Sun-filled space nestled in a secluded area; great views and contemporary decor. We didnt use the hot tub but it was among the cleanest ones we have seen at a rental property. Easy checkin and the property had everything needed for your stay. Bryson City wasnt a far drive and provided fun Fall entertainment.

Eclectic gem tucked away in a gorgeous mountain view! Perfect place for our group of four to make lasting memories. The home was clean and well provisioned. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, deck and turntable. Would highly recommend Moondance to anyone looking for a cozy spot to relax in the mountains.

Beautiful modern home, easy access, close to Bryson, NOC, Fontana, Tsali. Perfectly clean, all the amenities needed for a short stay/light cooking. Paved driveway up to the house was wonderful. And the view was spectacular!

Mountaintop house
Beautiful location, up a steep rocky hill.
Property was musty upon entry- needed to open windows. Discovered cause was overflowing clothes washer which was buckling floor. Property management very responsive, and I am assuming that this will be addressed. Otherwise, loved the proximity to Bryson, plenty of stars, and pretty hot tub!!
Plan to return.

The house was exactly as advertised-tidy, and well-maintained with attention to detail in the cleaning process- no clutter or hidden mess. And the view is amazing. The hot tub seems brand new and sparkling and the outdoor areas are great for relaxing after a day of hiking. Bryson City is a good entry point to Smoky Mountain Park and there are even some nice easy hikes in town. Highly recommend Smoky Mountain Moondance and hope to stay there again.

Sweet little cabin just off The main road with close access to trails and the Smoky Mountains. We enjoyed bird and firefly watching from the deck. A family of woodchucks kept us entertained. Nice hot tub under a dark sky with flashing lightening bugs all around. Magical.

Tranquil cabin with modern finishes, small touches like fully stocked kitchen (not the bare minimum like many places), legit SAMSUNG big screen and HK audio + Bluetooth (wow), super comfy beds, lots of games, books, turntable. Above and beyond owners/host. Thank you!!!

We had a wonderful weekend at Smoky Mountain Moondance. The home is very well appointed (makes you feel like you are in a well decorated hotel or high end home,) spotless, and and a location that is convenient for those who want to explore the area.

Absolutely Stunning
I would highly recommend staying at Smoky Mountain Moondance. We stayed here for a girls trip and there were 7 adults. It slept all of us comfortably. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. We loved sitting on the deck drinking wine, loving our view and talking the day away. The kitchen was great for cooking dinner and breakfast for such a large crowd and the house is super close to a neat little town to get groceries. Perfect distance to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Love, love, love this place! I can't wait to come back!

Beautiful view, Clean cabin, perfect location!
We booked this little jewel for a girls trip and had the best time! It was very clean & sophisticatedly decorated, and non cluttered, we lacked for nothing! the view on the porch was breathtaking, and we were in minutes from all kind of activities and cute shopping in Bryson city, NC! Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect! When we first arrived there was a strong sewage smell but the next day it was gone...thankfully!
The decor was super modern and delightful...everything felt new and clean...we felt right at home!
The views were outstanding...the only downside was that the fireplace didn’t work...that would have been amazing...nevertheless we couldn’t help but to talk about coming to this exact cabin in the future!! Best one we’ve ever stayed in!

Peaceful and Perfect
Everything about this house is peaceful and serene. The interior is beautifully decorated in a modern style and is spacious and clean. The back deck is amazing and the views are breathtaking. It truly feels like you are in the middle of nowhere...yet the house is easy to get to and conveniently located! The kids loved exploring in the woods and we loved relaxing in the mountains! Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful! We had a great time kayaking on "finger lake" and exploring the NOC. It's all so close! The house was perfect and beautifully decorated. We loved hanging out on the deck relaxing under the stars and our kids loved playing around the yard and woods. Our family will definitely be back soon! Thank you for the great vacation!

We love this lake house! It is beautifully appointed with everything we needed. The decor is so inviting & fun! The home felt both cozy & spacious for our family. Beautiful, relaxing and modern!
Beautiful and relaxing hilltop home with great views of the Great Smokey Mountains. The house has just been completely remodeled and is bright, cheery and modern. Great deck with views of the Smokey Mountains. Also just 5 minutes from Fontana Lake and 5 miles from the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Perfect location for enjoying mountain hikes, boating or rafting down the Nantahala. Fun for family and friends. Will definitely go back!!
