We had an enjoyable, peaceful week!

All elements were excellent. There was a problem with an alarm on the refrigerator that went off but with Joan’s help we were able to fix it.

Sunrise Suite is a wonderful place to stay. It is small but has everything you need in a very efficient layout including a full kitchen. The large deck doubles the size of the space and is the best place to hang out facing the harbor watching the Beaver Island Ferry and all the boats going between Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix including the fascinating yachts from points unknown. The best part is you are right behind Bridge Street. You just go around the corner and all the shops and restaurants are right there. It couldn't be any more convenient. It is the best place to stay and we can't wait to visit again.

Great location

Outdoor patio experience was interrupted by noisy & crude restaurant workers taking their break outside right next door. Smoking, unpleasant language, etc. Otherwise, the unit was very nice & hostess was very attentive. Cleaning of unit before occupancy was only average.

Everything was excellent except for the noise from the Bridge Street restaurant. Their employees are noisy while on their breaks with loud and at times crude language we could hear while were were on the deck. Also, would recommend a better mattress for the day bed. Other wise a great place to stay !

What a great location! Center of town, and we lucked out with the Venetian festival going on so had a perfect view of the fireworks from our patio and live music every night! We loved ease of access to coffee, food and the town, and it wa a great base for our up north adventure. Our dog loved it too - we’d highly recommend

The property was very clean peaceful and tranquil. We love staying in Charlevoix. The lake is so beautiful. The air is cleaner and just everything is better in Charlevoix. We love that we get bring our dog with us and he is as welcomed as we are. So much appreciated. We love that we just can walk to town gor dinner and walk all over for the entire stay.

This was our ninth stay in the property. It was a wonderful experience.

wonderful place.. very clean and modern, excellent location, great view of Round Lake. Tavern next door provided colorful entertainment when on break.

This is the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Pros: The view of Round Lake and the marina are amazing. The location absolutely ideal being close to everything, but far enough from the Bridge Street traffic noise. Parking was not an issue even during the events. Every detail is well thought out with lovely, comfortable furnishings, great kitchen, handmade dishes, lots of cookware and bakeware. The murphy bed is very comfortable. The deck, where we spent a lot of time, is well appointed and again very comfortable. We have been coming to Charlevoix for more than 20 years and this trip we were lucky to be here for an art fair, weekly farmers markets, and the Boyne City Thunder which was an amazing time both from land and on the water. Highly recommend Lynda's Tacos in the parking lot at Family Fare/Rite Aid. Within walking distance we recommend The Grey Gables. The Salad Fork and The Cantina Mexican in the alley. Charlevoix Pizza Company and The Villager Pub and of course the Weathervane on Bridge Street. Terry's was recommended but didn't have food for our particular tastes. Oleson's is a good grocery. Food trucks at the corner of Ferry and Belvedere were not as exciting as we had hoped. Cons: We were here for 2 weeks, so initially these were not issues. As time progressed though they became overbearing. 1. The air handler for That French Place restaurant is in the condo closet. It is on continually throughout the day (around 22 hours total) so there isn't much interior silence. 2. The restaurant employees arrive at 4:45 am. 3. The restaurant abuts the back of the condo so the fragrances come through to the condo. While the baked items can be lovely, the ham is revolting. We kept the bathroom door closed and used a highly effective tea tree air freshener to keep the smells at bay. (recommend keeping the bathroom door closed to lessen 1,2,3) 4. The Bridge Street Tap Room is next door and the staff come out the back to take smoke breaks numerous times throughout the day. They stand at the edge of the deck so the smoke engulfs the deck. Their conversations can be quite enjoyable when they discuss days off and outrageous customer requests. They have roundtable discussions about "what would you do" that can be humorous. The wifi is good too. Beware the upper and lower units are on the same shared network. We had neighbors sending things to our printer. Recommend for shorter stays like long weekends, community events, weddings, etc.

Wonderful experience. Outstanding accommodations. Beautiful view of the marina. Loved being in the center of downtown. Ready to return.

Enjoyed our stay, great lodging, great location!

We had a great stay in this Charlevoix apartment! Yes, it is small, but we actually thought it was much bigger than the pictures show, and we were completely comfortable the two of us with our two dogs. The best part is the huge deck that I swear is almost as big as the apartment! I spent a lot of time out there reading and even napping :) The apartment was easy to check into and was equipped with everything you need. The location is also fabulous both being on the water as well as within a few steps to get to many shops, restaurants, and bars. We would absolutely stay here again!

This place may be small but was perfect for my dog and I (well almost perfect...the air conditioner was out and a temporary one was placed even before I got there, but could not open the doors to the patio, which was a bummer during the cooler afternoons. Even despite that the stay was very comfortable as well as the bed. The patio you can't beat! All the amenities you needed were there. You are right downtown and everything is in walking distance. One thing I will note that I didn't realize, parking is not right on site. It is about 2 blocks away but a short walk across the main/busy street. I would absolutely stay here again if it was just me or one other person.

The place was just as it looks in the pictures. It was very clean and neat and everything was as promised. As luck would have it, there was a power issue on the block where this property is and a power surge fried the control board to the air conditioner just before we arrived.. Maintenance was there when we arrived and were already working on it. They were very kind and even offered to help my wife with her bags. Joan was very responsive and kept us updated on the problem. As it turned out, they found that they would not be able to get the parts they needed until after the weekend. Joan immediately had a portable AC unit installed and bent over backwards to make us comfortable. She also immediately refunded, with us asking, a generous amount of the cost of our stay. Shelley and I had a great stay and highly recommend staying at one of Joan’s units.

We have stayed here before and it definitely tops our list!!! We love the suite, the view and the location!!! It’s very clean, well kept and nicely decorated, making it comfortable inside & out!!!

We had another wonderful stay at Sunrise Suite. We came up for a long weekend for the Apple Fest and this was the perfect place to stay. Sunrise Suite is small but worked perfectly for my husband and me for a long weekend. It has everything you need in a design that efficiently uses every bit of space. The view looking across Round Lake into Lake Charlevoix is one of the best views in downtown Charlevoix. Since it is right in the middle of downtown, you could spend time at Apple Fest, go to restaurants and shopping and get your groceries within minutes from your door. Even on a chilly October Day is was fun to bundle up and sit on the beautiful deck with the fire pit and watch all the activity from the festival. We love staying here.

The location is in the heart of everything and very comfortable. The owner was responsive and friendly. Everything in the condo was exactly as shown and good quality. The nice part is you leaving starter products. We will be back.

We stayed here with our 1 1/2 year old son for 5 days and it was amazing! I was a little concerned it would be too small but actually worked out great with a pack n play and the huge outdoor space to relax on after our son went to bed. The location was wonderful and close to everything so you could park your car and walk everywhere! We chose the place because of the location and the outdoor space overlooking the water. Since we were travelling with our son, we needed somewhere close to everything so we could easily stop back for nap time and also wanted a place with space outside so we could relax with a glass of wine after he went to bed. Since we were travelling in the fall, the fire pit was an awesome amenity to have! The place is decorated very cute and every little detail has been thought of. I even thought to myself when we arrived how I wished we brought a nightlight for our son and found there was one already plugged in in the bathroom! I would definitely recommend staying here!

FIRST OFF ...LOCATION ..LOCATION...LOCATION......PARK YOUR CAR AND HAVE FUN. UNLESS YOU ARE GOING SIGHT SEEING.....YOU CAN WALK ALL OVER TOWN AND TO ALL THE RESTAURANTS. THE UNIT IS BEAUTIFUL.....WELL THOUGHT OUT DECOR....AND A VERY COMFORTABLE MURPHY BED. THE PORCH IS AN EXTENSION OF THE LIVING SPACE AND THE OWNER EVEN SET UP A WONDERFUL PATIO FIRE TABLE... I WAS SITTING OUT THERE WITH THE FIRE LIT AND IT STARTED SOFTLY RAINING......THE PATIO IS COMPLETELY COVERED AND IT WAS SO RELAXING........THERE IS A BBQ FOR YOUR USE AND PLENTY OF OUTDOOR AND INDOOR SEATING. WE LOVED IT....MY HUSBAND AND I HAD A HARD TIME LEAVING......LOVED TO SIT AND WATCH THE PEOPLE AND THE BEAUTIFUL YATCHS IN THE HARBOR....AND WE WERE THERE FOR VENETIAN AND BOTH NIGHTS FIREWORKS WERE WONDERFUL FROM THE PORCH.....ALL YOU NEED IT YOUR FOOD AND WINE AND RELAXATION IS YOURS. ANYTIME OF YEAR WOULD BE A WONDERFUL VACATION.........CHARLEVOIX IS A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE TOWN ....... CLOSE BY YOU CAN RENT A KAYAK, PADDLE BOARD, OR MOTOR BOAT FOR THE DAY OR WEEK. EVEN A PONTOON BOAT AND INVITE FRIENDS. THE FRENCH COFFEE SHOP IS IN THE SAME BUILDING...AND NEXT DOOR IS THE CHARLEVOIX BREWING COMPANY AND THE TAP ROOM.....WONDERFUL FOOD AND DRINKS...AND MUSIC ON SOME NIGHTS......ALL IN ALL....A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY.........JOAN HAS THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING.

Perfect getaway for two. The studio apartment is very quaint and has all the amenities you'll need, plus you can't argue with that view! Driving, biking and walking distance to everything you could want to do up north!

The location is perfect, it has a view and is close to everything! Makes for the perfect stay!

4 words.... We will be back! Renovation was done very well. All the details were thought out with care, the use of space, very comfortable & calming, indoors & out. The view was wonderful every morning with our coffee. The deep porch (utilized for rain or shine) with the teal glass firepit was so relaxing to end the day. (We are buying one now!). And location couldn't be better! Thank you for the comfort of your lovely place! 💙

We had a great time at the Sunrise Suite. The location is absolutely perfect! The suite is small, but works very well for two people and a canine companion. The deck area outside was extremely nice and makes up for the suite being small. The outdoor fireplace was a great feature! Thanks for a great time and we hope to come back.

Loved the Sunrise Suite! Great location. The deck was amazing. The best views of Round Lake. The suite was beautifully renovated. They thought of everything with all the great little touches, like the Keurig coffee pot, wonderful towels and sheets. I would definitely go back!

We absolutely loved our stay in the Sunrise Suite! The view is so beautiful! The location is perfect - we didn't use our car our entire stay. The suite is decorated so lovely. The bed is so comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked - you don't need to bring anything! Everything is high quality! The outside terrace was our living room. We enjoyed it so much and having the gas fireplace in the evening was so lovely! I promise you will not be disappointed staying in the Sunrise Suite!

For our second visit to Sunrise Suite, we spent a week during the Venetian Festival. We were right in the middle of all the activity with everything in walking distance. The weather was great which made the deck with its beautiful views of the harbor, our living room for the week. Although the space is small, a couple has everything they need with the convenience of being on the water and right in town. We can't wait to come back for the Labor Day Holiday.
