The description of the property was accurate. Things we really enjoyed included waking to the ocean sunrise, the koi pond, the sound of the pebble beach, and the little host touches like a cold water pitcher in the fridge & a wash cloth dedicated to beach things like sand & mud. The manager & staff were on-site during the day; we found them kind & helpful. The only minor drawback we found was the many slatted doors & transoms - good for ventilation, but not so much for privacy.

The condo was lovely and exactly as pictured. The sounds from the ocean were so soothing, and Hana was a perfect way to start our trip to Maui. Plan ahead and buy your groceries, stock up on gas, etc., near the airport or wherever else you’re traveling from. Prices skew higher in the Hana area, so we were happy we had everything we needed with us. The road to Hana is not for the faint of heart, especially the Southern road. Definitely take the road most traveled to Hana, and consider a utility vehicle. We had a Camaro, which was not ideal for the driving conditions, but we’ll have stories to tell for years to come. We made a reservation at the Hana Ranch Restaurant (within walking distance) and were not disappointed. Overall we had a great stay and are happy this is how we decided to start our Maui adventure.

The property location is very serene. I woke to early morning sunrise colors which we could see from our bed. In the morning walk along the water was so peaceful. The room has beautiful water views. I will come back to stay here.

We had two couple stay at this location; unit 202 and 205. My husband and I stayed in unit 205, so that us what I am writing to. It was a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay overnight after our back road to Hana trek. We finished the top side the next day. Much enjoyed the view from the balcony and listening to the waves during the night. We picked up some snack and drinks at a small local grocery and had a very relaxing stay.

Wonderful accomodations. just the right size for a couple.

This is a great property in Hana, which is a small, locals-only type of town with very few places with privacy or beach/ocean views. The balcony view of Hana Bay is easily the best feature here. Expect to hear some of your neighbors on their balconies, but it’s hardly a nuisance. Everyone was respectful and quiet hours were honored by guests. This is life on Hana! Also, we kept the balcony doors open at night and listened to the waves and never felt hot or uncomfortable sleeping … in supposedly humid August! The location is central to all beaches, the national park, and walkable to food trucks. If you’re staying in Hana, this is the place!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here as part of our belated honeymoon. We had a wonderful experience. Our view of the ocean was fantastic. We loved watching the sunrise in the mornings and listening to the waves at night. Although there was no AC, we were comfortable at night sleeping with 2 fans (we brought one down from the loft) and the ocean breeze. Very clean. Quiet. We highly recommend staying over in Hana. It was wonderful to have the time to experience Hana and go to the national park. Highly recommend this place!

Communication and check in process was very well done. Pictures of room on VRBO were absolutely what we saw. The experience could not have been better! Mahalo!

The view of Hana bay and the black stone beach form our apartment was magical. The rooms are open spacious and designed to make the most of this view. Hana is a small town and does not have many facilities in terms of shops and restaurants (Thai food trucks mostly)! Would advise to bring food and the kitchen at Hana Kai was well equipped to cook.

Property was convenient and easy to access after driving the Road to Hana. I am so glad we stayed to explore Hana. There are dining options and a general store nearby. There is access to beautiful beaches nearby.

Terrific condo. Perfect sunrise from our deck overlooking the black sand beach. Close to the food trucks and restaurants. Traveling to Hana from Kihei took 6 hours with stops, so it was great to have a place to stay. FYI- there is no need to pack food for the trip. There are many opportunities to stop along the way for food. Water might be the only suggested item needed to bring along. We would recommend this unit highly.

We are so glad we stayed the two nights in Hana! While we didn’t need the loft, we appreciated the room with the view and covered deck - especially with the rain.

We planned to drive the Hana Road and stay in that non-touristy area of Maui. The area is beautiful but not touristy. This VRBO was very nice, convenient, had everything we needed. Thank you!

Lovely view and well maintained. Had some difficulty finding someone at check in. The costs are high but the location is amazing. The laundry facility is accessible from the office and they charged 10 dollars. Only available when office is open. They were unaccommodating for some flexibility on this strict time window. The unit had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable otherwise. Having the windows and door open was amazing with the breeze and surf sound.

Beautiful setting and remote area with amazing wild beaches. Not much to do in cooler weather, so a tv with DVDs would make it alot better. Also, was a bit cold but could not adjust any temperature and the window slats are stuck open which makes it breezy and noisy from neighbors. Tried to take a hot bath but was barely warm. Like I said, absolutely beautiful area and I'm glad we stayed the night. Personally would not recommend for extended stays and I don't think the occomadations and amenities match the price.

We stayed here for four nights in November. Has a nice little black sand beach adjacent. We enjoyed our stay. Please know there is no air conditioning no televisions spotty cell service. But there is Wi-Fi. Wonderful place to disconnect and enjoy the moonrise over the ocean. There are few restaurants in Hana but several food trucks and kitchen facilities in your condo to cook your own meals. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful view of the ocean from our room’s deck. Walk to the backyard of the property for a private view of the sunrise or stars either on their lawn chairs or the black rock beach. The room was nice and spacious and had a well equipped kitchen. Right in the town of Hana - great stopping point to really enjoy the Hana Highway one day and the Piilani Highway the next day. Not many restaurants but enough for a great meal and great food trucks for breakfast in the morning.

The condo was just as shown in the pictures. Location was great, room was very clean. Awesome sunrise and superior coffee!!!! Highly recommend getting up to watch sunrise while having a cup. As others have indicated, the condo is a bit warm, especially if you are coming from a colder climate!

A little hard to find but once you are there you forget about it! Peaceful, charming check in, lovely setting! Wished we had stayed longer.

We loved our stay! So relaxing after a full day driving and exploring. We watched the sunset and sunrise from our balcony and loved hearing the waves from bed. Such a romantic spot! We had all the amenities we needed. Check in was easy and she was very friendly and helpful about local places to see and eat. So happy we stayed here!

Couldn't have asked for a better location and amenities for our short, 1 night stay. My husband commented we should have stayed 2 nights. The unit had everything we could have wanted for comfort, meals, etc. It was clean and spacious. Check-in and out was efficient and the staff were very nice, especially with recommendations. The weather didn't agree with our stay and there was a beach hazard warning, but that didn't stop our adventures. So much to do in Hana within walking distance. There was a mention of increased temperature in the loft area, but we were just fine with a fan and the fact that is was April. I am sure it may get quite toasty mid-summer. Would highly recommend and look forward to a future stay.

It was a perfect stay in Hana. You can see the ocean from the balcony..we were out drinking coffee on the balcony and saw a whale breach twice! One of the coolest experiences ever.

Cozy and clean place for 4 adults. Beautiful ocean view from the patio. Easy access to the beach. Convenient parking, walking distance to Hasagawa’s general store and the food cart pod. Would definitely stay again!
