We really enjoyed our stay! The location was stunning! The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

The cottage was exactly what we wanted and needed it to be! A beautiful setting and comfortable accommodations. We really enjoyed the dock and the porch. We cannot wait to come back.

We liked the close location at the water. Except of Bedsheets and towels everything else was dirty and shabby. We had breadcrumbs from others on the table, dishes and pans were dirty, Grill was not cleaned. Also the fireplace was broken and could not be used. The worst part was the shower which really needs an update; we only used it wearing Flipflops… Sorry for this bad review, but the rental is not worth the money we paid.

Nice location, comfortable house. Good views, dock was great. Need some regular maintenance and upkeep. Door knobs loose, bathroom door doesn't close properly, shower caddy and mat need replacement. Only one bathroom is a little inconvenient.

This two story camp has wonderful views of the bay- from the porch, hammock, and two bedrooms- and a dock that is perfect for star gazing. Both Brunswick and Bath are interesting to visit, and Reid State Park (30 minutes away) is phenomenal. The Audubon sanctuary across the street provides gentle and accessible hiking without having to drive.

Perfect sunset. Perfect dock. Perfect place to relax.

Our group included an 8 yr old his father and. 2 grandmothers. We all loved the house and the gorgeous setting.

This cottage is a relaxing and comfortable step back in time. We loved the rustic cottage with the amazing views. Every morning we woke early to watch the birds in the bay catch fish. If you're looking for relaxation...this is your place!

The setting of the house and dock can't be beat, setting sun, nice sunsets. That same light comes into the upstairs bedrooms- 4 nice rooms, 2 facing west, great breezes. The highlights of the house are the upstairs bedrooms, the dock, and large wraparound screened in porch with tables and chairs where you could spend all day. The house downstairs is really just one large room with wood stove and heater. Very Rustic which I like and this has to be what you are looking for. It is an old camp so weathered. There is dust as expected and some spiders but no bugs. A dishwasher would be nice and perhaps an updated shower but there is washer and dryer and plenty of hot water. The area around is quiet and nice to walk on the roads and Audubon Area nearby.

The cabin is definitely rustic with great appointments. It was extremely comfortable and quiet. We will be back. This was a great place to get away from everything and relax. We were able to be a million miles away from everything that was drawing on us and recharge our body and souls. This cabin is conveniently located near Audubon Preserve with awesome walking trails. Brunswick and Bath are a short drive away. Far enough away to be distant, but close enough for a day trip for shopping.

Rockhaven Bay Bliss is a quintessential Maine camp. We enjoyed our stay very much! The peace of the waterfront location and quiet dirt-road neighborhood combined to encourage spells of putting-your-feet-up-and-forget-the-world resting and “Hey, let’s play a game!” family time. The cottage is rustic in its build but all the necessities are there. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. There was a full size range, small microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Vacasa did have a small dish soap and sponge in the kitchen along with hand soap and a few trash bags. The bathroom had travel sized shampoo, conditioner and soap along with some laundry supplies (which came in handy!) The shower was definitely low-flow but did the job and there was plenty of hat water. For nights when we were tuckered out, the TV had Netflix and (I think) Direct TV (we only watched Netflix). One day we rented a kayak, stand up paddleboard and canoe with life jackets from Paddle Maine’s Seaspray Kayaking ($135 for all including delivery and pickup to the house!). The bay/inlet made for calm waters and fun times. The 1/2 star markdown was for a few soft floorboards and steps that will eventually need attention, pine needles on the roof and the mattresses were a smidge on the hard side but the charm of the whole setting made those things insignificant. It is a Maine family camp and we would definitely go back. Some basic things you’ll want to know: - there are plenty of towels and linens (good ones!) - the water is filtered well water and is ok but cloudy - there are plenty of games! - every bedroom had some sort of fan - the windows can be propped up with screens they have in the house - the house is below the parking area - there is a set of about 20 cement stairs (slightly overgrown) or you can shuffle down the hill. It’s not bad but packing out was sort of a pain. It’s definitely not accessible. - bring binoculars for bird watching! There were three bald eagles we saw every day! - Brunswick downtown is about 15-20 mins away with Gelato Fiasco and Seadog Brewing restaurant - Wicasset is about 40 mins which we didn’t visit but had Reds Eats and Spragues lobster shacks - there is a grocery store about 15-20 mins away - bring bug spray! We LOVED staying at Rock Haven Bay Bliss. It reminded us of the lakeside cabin in Maine where my family summered long ago, but this has more amenities. Tranquil, waterside setting, many comfortable places to sit and enjoy the view including a glorious wrap-around screen porch, a well-appointed kitchen, beautiful walking at the neighboring Audubon sanctuary, quick access to Route 1... We did not want to leave. This is a perfect spot for a family reunion with four good-sized upstairs bedrooms. A single bathroom and uninsulated walls could be challenging for larger groups who want their privacy, but the cottage suited us perfectly. A true, rustic Maine experience.

Great / secluded location right on the water. A little chilly overnight but ample wood outside to heat indoor fireplace. Vacasa was also on top of things - when we let them know that a screen was knocked out and the TV was not working - they came over that morning and replaced both. Would stay here again!

The inside of the home is a rustic cabin, well suited for lake living and the atmosphere. Gorgeous views from bedrooms, and lovely breeze in the evenings; no A/C is no problem. Note that it is quite old; so do not expect frills, and more than a few cobwebs. Plenty of beds, though one bathroom is tough with too many guests.

The property was exactly as listed and shown in the pictures. The house is very rustic with details and touches that made the place feel like home not to mention the amazing view. We booked this location with the intent of fishing throughout the entire trip and boy did we luck out ! We were originally concerned with there being no air conditioning but it is not needed as the breeze from the bay added perfect comfort. We had a small mishap with the sink but nothing we couldn’t work around! The neighbors were extremely friendly and welcoming as well. Overall our vacation was better then we could have imagined!

We absolutely loved the house and its proximity to the water. We spent our days lounging on the dock. A true Maine experience - the house was very clean, and the charm was abundant. For those wanting more "luxury" or not into an authentic Maine house / "Adirondack camp" this is NOT the house for you - but this is the exact reason we rented the house ! I'm hesitant to say more as I don't want this gem to become too popular :) Only downside is one bathroom and the faucet in the sink was spraying everywhere and they were not able to fix. Just only an issue as they asked to be mindful of water use and this was not possible with having to hand wash dishes (no dishwasher) and with a faucet spraying like a firehose.

We loved hanging out on the dock and playing with kayaks/canoes ordered from a local outfitter. The house was perfect for reading and board games- very charming and comfortable. One FYI that there isn’t any soundproofing bc it isn’t insulated, so our baby’s voice was heard by all. Wasn’t a problem for us- she’s a great alarm clock. The wrap around porch and setting is magical. We’d love to return one day and stay for longer!

I stayed in this house with my 7 friends and it was the perfect spot for a weekend in Maine. Not far from Bowdoin College and ideal with the dock! Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a wonderful week at Rock Haven Bliss. The house is rustic and spartan, which was just what we were looking for. The floating dock, sunsets over the river, and the screened in porch were highlights for us.
