Great place. Second time to stay here.

We really enjoyed the view from the western deck. Good location to visit Desoto Caverns State Park and the town of Mentone. It's not too far from Cloudland Park in Georgia. It was too cold to sit outside on Saturday. The cabin was easy to find.

My wife and I needed a quick getaway and had not spent any time in this area. Was grateful to find this treasure and enjoy some down time. See you next time!

We stay on this property about twice a year. It’s always a pleasant stay. We love the location.

The rental was spotless. The beds were comfortable. The showerheads were high, which was nice for a tall person like myself. The wraparound porch was nice and it had many rocking chairs to sit and admire the view. We went to some waterfalls in the area, and it was also close to the Boy Scout camp, Camp Comer, where my son was working for the Summer, so we could visit him when we wanted. We also took a day trip to Rome, Georgia. It was a good break from the 100+ temperatures from where we're from! Check in was easy, and communication with the rental agency was great. We would stay here again.

This is a very comfortable cabin in all respects. However, the view from the deck made the whole trip worthwhile.

Simple clean very nice with spectacular sunsets

This was a perfect cottage for us to celebrate my 67th birthday! Close to De Soto falls and De Soto State Park. It was very clean and very comfortable and the view was breathtaking! The rockers on the porch is where we spent a couple of afternoons. Communication with manager was spot on!

Clean and centrally located.

This property was better than I expected. I was up on some business and selected this property because it was in the brow and rather isolated. The entire house was spacious, clean, well organized, and just right for my needs. The houses nearest were not too close, although one did have an outdoor light that kept going on and off. The industrial site lights down in the valley did distract a little while sitting on the back porch at night, but it probably not any issue when the abundant trees are full of leaves. The kitchen-family room area was HUGE and completely open.

The property is very clean and very nice. Spectacular view from porch. Can even watch trains go by 1 mile away. This is a great experience. We all loved it.

The cabin was just what we needed for our quiet Valentine's getaway. We loved the beautiful view from the back deck and the sounds of nature and the railway in the background. It was a little brisk in the morning, but we warmed right up in front of the gas log stove. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, but we also ventured into Mentone and Fort Payne for the local restaurants. Make sure you make reservations or accommodate for extra time, as some of those places were quite busy for dinner. We will most definitely come back to this place soon.

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay at “Chestnut Oaks.” Check in and out was a breeze! Our 3 kids really enjoyed having all the room outdoors to explore. The views from the porch were so beautiful! We also enjoyed watching the trains come and go from the porch. The beds were very comfy. Large kitchen with everything needed to cook a large meal. Our only suggestion would be to update the living room furniture. Couch was comfy but definitely worn, and the only other seating were small chairs that were not very comfortable. With a few recliners, the room would be perfect! The location of the cottage was perfect! Very close drive to Desoto Falls and downtown Mentone. Only 20 minutes or so from Little River Canyon. Thanks again for a great stay!

My friend and I were very pleased with this cabin. It was very clean, neat, loved the furnishings and decorations, great location, all amenities needed and then some, really nice wraparound porch with plenty of seating and a lovely, lovely view. We enjoyed our stay at this cabin very much. We would recommend to anyone.
