This is a beautifully restored old house with all modern amenities and which is immaculately maintained. It is in a great rural setting which is just a short drive our of town. Our group of 6 adults and a small dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was lots of delicious ripe apples, pears and plums on the trees in the garden, and we enjoyed feeding the fruit that had dropped onto the ground to the very friendly cows and calves in the field beside the house. The house is conveniently located to explore the nearby islands as well as the Mount Baker area. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights of crabbing off of Camano Island. It was such a charming place to hang out with our kids and dogs. And very nice to have a relatively well-appointed kitchen in a rental. The cows next door were sweet too. The property manager was very quick to respond to any questions. I appreciated the owners taste and them sharing their home. Definitely would stay here again.

We came from the East Coast and stayed for a few days. We went to a family reunion nearby. The location was perfect for us . We enjoyed the house: clean, many bathrooms, good kitchen, great views from the yard, etc. We would come back for sure.

There were 5 adults and 2 kids under 5. The house was perfect for our family. The kids loved all the outdoor space and having 3 bathrooms was amazing! Definitely would come back again.

The Pioneer House was a very pleasant place to stay in Stanwood. Close to downtown Stanwood and easy access to Camano Island. This historic property is comfortable and close to fields and cows.

Excellent, cozy, relaxing, great kitchen. It was our second time there for our family gathering and we will return.

Very quiet and nice home. The cows and deer were a nice touch! Just be aware that you have to fill out a form/information for their insurance.

This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting family. There were 8 of us and an infant and the accommodations worked for all of us. My grandson particularly liked the cows.

We loved staying at Pioneer house. Large home with lots of room for our group. The bathrooms are huge! Fully stocked kitchen. We ate apples and plums off of the fruit trees. It was just minutes from the grocery store and restaurants. The only drawback was the train tracks nearby. It was really warm the 1st night and we needed windows open to sleep. The train horns woke us up in the night. Also, while the location is very private my 9 year old grandaughter was really uncomfortable with no window coverings on all the windows. We would stay here again if the opportunity arose.

The home is charming and well appointed. It is very clean and in a lovely setting. We enjoyed the fruit trees and the cows next door, relaxing on the deck watching the sunset.

The house looks better in person than in the photos. Our family of four was comfortable with the place. There are farms and fruit trees surrounding the property. It's 5-10 minutes from town but feels remote. We enjoyed it!

This is an awesome historic farm house. It reminded us of our place in the midwest. So homey and we loved sitting on the deck watching eagles and red tailed hawks spar in the sky. There were hummingbirds at our feeders all the time. The gardens were well kept and flowering was beautiful. Our entire family loved the pioneer house and its location. Would definitely stay again! And the grounds are ideal for dogs to explore! My only suggestion would be to upgrade the two queen mattresses. Thanks so much for keeping this piece of your family preserved and sharing it with us.

We stayed at the Pioneer House for 2 weeks while we looked for a place to live. The country house was a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers gardens and beautiful weather while we were there. It was so nice to sleep with the windows opened. A few days it reached 90 degrees but the downstairs had AC which was great to have. Loved using the kitchen stove and kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Great place, to stay and we recommend it.

Beautiful, quiet location. Home is lovely. Great place for honeymooning and a great place for family. If you don’t mind driving a little to get to local sites to see it’s perfect.

We enjoyed staying in this farmhouse, waking up to coffee on the deck listening to chirping birds and watching hummingbirds was lovely. It’s well located with marketplace within a mile for essentials, food. Jenn was very helpful and prompt to answer all queries.

The historic home was probably our favorite house we've ever stayed in. The house was large enough for our family with room to spare. We are remote working/learning and we were able to spread out, tap into the very fast wifi and not disturb each other. The house itself was warm, inviting and very much felt like we were staying in a close relative's home. The kitchen had everything we needed. The huge grounds were more than ample for our kids to run around and explore. We saw so many birds and deer in the yard. It was just fabulous. Will definitely come back.

We spent Thanksgiving here with our family. Great place, clean, open, and modern where you need it. Hope to return in the future.

This is a beautifully restored farmhouse at the edge of Stanwood on a property filled with old fruit trees. We were there because my siblings and I were painting my mother's house in Stanwood, so we weren't typical explore-the-area tourists. Mainly we used the house as a dormitory to recover from painting. It was perfect for that--very close to my mom's place, clean and well-equipped to make breakfast. Plus we picked some of the apricots and plums, which were delicious.
