A Fluke of Nature is the perfect location! In addition to the beautiful ocean views on both floors, we were an easy walking distance from the Rehoboth boardwalk and Dewey dining and entertainment. When staying in, there was plenty of space for a family of 4 and we all enjoyed napping in the comfortable accommodations or outside on the screened-in decks. You can’t go wrong with this rental.

We had a great stay. The place is really nice. It has everything you need. It’s wonderful to be right on the beach!

Perfect set-up for our family of 4 to enjoy a beachfront getaway. Home was stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable during our vacation. Views from the upstairs deck were perfect for dolphin watching. Location is perfect to run/walk/bike straight into downtown Rehoboth Beach. Steps right onto the beach where chair/umbrella service is available for a fee, hot dog stand, and a shaved ice golf cart went by daily. Easy peasy!

We love this property so much. This is our fourth time staying here. This is it if you are looking for the perfect beach vacation property. On the beach, within walking distance to both Dewey and Rehoboth. Marlo is always so helpful. We will be back!

We have stayed at this beach house for a few years now and would not think of staying anywhere else since you can't beat perfection! The views from the balcony are stunning, the walk to the beach is just steps away and the dining experiences in Dewey and Rehoboth are so close by. And the hosts have thought of everything to make it a very comfortable and relaxing getaway!

We are pretty well traveled from adventuring in the mountains to destination beach trips, and I have to say - the stay at Marlo’s property was as close to perfect as it gets. The location centers you with picturesque views of the beach, dunes, and water - and the lodging has a cozy cottage vibe with thoughtful touches at every turn. It’s rare to leave a trip and think * wow, that was perfect * but our trip this summer was truly 10/10. Would absolutely recommend this place, Marlo, and the location for anyone looking to get away and truly relax in a picture perfect beach town. Thank you Marlo!

If you don’t like it here then you don’t like it anywhere. This place is bliss for the beach lover. I live 5min from the beach but I’ll still travel 5hrs to stay here. The experience is second to none for the salt life experience. Just don’t book my week next year!!

Our second year at Fluke of Nature did not disappoint. The property is clean and quant, perfect for folks who want great beach access and privacy. Chesapeake street is an incredible location offering an easy walk or bike ride to both Dewey and Rehoboth. And because it borders Silver Lake the beach isn't overly crowded. We love taking early morning and evening beach walks to enjoy the surfers, skim boarders, dogs, fisherman, and bond fires. Marlo is an awesome host and responded quickly when we locked ourselves out. Fluke of Nature is our family's favorite trip of the year (and we travel a lot) because it gives us a chance to unplug and be together. We will be back in 2023!

A Fluke of Nature was simply magical--the perfect fit for us. Everything was well-appointed and thought-out with great care. The main bedroom was magnificent. The bed was so comfortable, and we could hear and see the waves through the French doors. We loved both screened-in porches. But this is all about location, location, location. My daughter and grand kids stayed a few blocks away. Every morning my husband "set up" the beach. I could see the umbrellas from the upstairs deck. We'd meet for lunch at the house and head back for more beach time. Marlo is lovely to work with. I hesitate to say too much about it only because we want to rent it again and again. And, yes! We did see dolphins from the veranda. We could also walk to both Dewey and Rehoboth. We loved the open concept main floor and the beach cottage look and feel. Perfect.

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, and everything is thought out and labeled so that you can just sit back and enjoy. We enjoyed a lovely stay. The highlight without a doubt was how close we were to the beach - able watch the sunrise without leaving the house and step out onto the sand just by leaving out the back porch. I could have easily stayed on the the back porch or the master bedroom balcony enjoying the views all day, but I didn't :) We walked into the town or Rehoboth every morning, about a mile, via the sidewalks, and then returned via the boardwalk and the beach. I stayed with my husband. The place would also fit a couple with 1-2 kids, given the second bedroom with a privacy divider. But might be snug for two couples - and be warned the master bedroom has a WAY better view. Plenty of information was provided before our arrival, and communication and response was easy and fast. Thanks for a lovely getaway!

"A Fluke of Nature" is where we want to be every September! We come every year because of everything this house and location offers! It is just the best?! And don't want to forget to mention how great the owner is-- she thinks of everything to make our stay very welcoming!

Enjoyable stay. The sunrise from the top deck is spectacular. Marlo was super available. Quiet/friendly neighbors.

What a beautiful property!!! Awesome beach access location and great place to entertain a toddler. The owner was highly responsive, which was appreciated. We took a family vacation that included our 2.5 year old. He loved the beach / sand toys provided, and the backyard is pretty much a giant sandbox that he loved to dig, scoop and play in. Huge hit!! The owners bedroom ocean views were awesome. I loved sitting in both the first floor and 2nd floor patios and looking at the water. A minor concern- the shower head is leaking from the hose and I had to wiggle it to get the water to filter more to the nozzle. I had a difficult time getting my hair fully wet. This said, its not a big deal because the outdoor shower is the one you'll wind up using most anyway, the water pressure there is perfect. We saw dolphins multiple days here, and for the first time in life I saw a jelly fish in the ocean! It was neat to experience this. The waves / currents are strong here so we & our little one weren't able to go in the ocean, but we did get our feet wet which was more than enough. I appreciated the beautiful property, ocean views and thoughtfulness the owner took in the little things like fresh flowers. It was pretty quiet for a labor day weekend here too, surprisingly at a townhome on the beach. I would highly recommend staying here, and would 100% go back in the future!

Yet again a wonderful week on the beach. Property is just perfect for a family to enjoy the coast of Delaware. Location is perfect to enjoy both Rehoboth and Dewey yet it’s quietly hidden from the crowds. Owner is great and easy to deal with. I’ll be visiting again.

And the view of the beach, both upstairs snd downstairs, is spectacular. Sleeping with the windows open and listening to the ocean waves was the best!! It is exactly as it is in the pictures! The location is perfect, quiet compared to Rehobeth, but walking distance to the boardwalk whether by sand or street. It was also walking distance to several local restaurants and stores. Marlo, the owner, is gracious and very concerned about the well-being of her guests. She was available to respond to any question or concern. We loved our stay at A Fluke of Nature and would definitely come back.

My husband, two young daughters (5 and 6), and I had the best beach vacation at Fluke of Nature. The location is amazing, nestled on a quiet beach right between the action of Dewey and Rehoboth. We could walk the Rehoboth Boardwalk home at night and a few blocks down for ice cream in Dewey. The condo feels like a perfect beach bungalow. We loved the sandy area out front screened in porches, and proximity to the beach. The divider wall in the back bedroom even provided enough privacy for grandma to stay with us for two nights without feeling too cramped. We absolutely loved Fluke of Nature and are hopeful we'll be able to book it again for summer 2022!

Such a lovely location at the base of the sand dunes. Couldn’t get any closer to the beach ! The views from both porches are stunning ! The home has updated beach decor and everything needed. Marlo was an attentive host. I will return next summer !

Everything you ever imagined for a beach vacation, location and comfort, rolled into one amazing package! Entering this townhome, A Fluke of Nature, you are immediately impressed by both the crispness of its fully equipped, sparkling white kitchen and the warmth of its cozy, perfectly decorated living room, all yellows, blues, and orange beach hues. You hear the pounding waves, look through the screened porch to the dunes, and beyond them is the never-ending beauty of the ocean. You head upstairs, where there are two large bedrooms, one subdividable for children’s privacy, and the other the most wonderful master bedroom on earth, all blues and comfortable king-sized bed. Opening its French doors, you step out onto the truest gem of the townhome – the screened veranda. You sit in the cushioned yellow Adirondack rocking chairs, watch and hear the waves below, and understand that this is the peace you have ALWAYS been looking for. From the townhouse’s location at the north end of the quieter Dewey Beach, you can easily walk to the excitement and restaurants of Rehoboth Beach. Inveterate walkers, we hiked north to the fascinating Cape Henlopen State Park and south towards the Indian River Inlet Bridge, collecting sea shells as we went. Marlo, the owner, is ever the perfect communicator. Will we return? You can count on it!
