The fire pit we used daily! We canoed on the river, played games by the fire and loved every minute of our time there and even extended a 4th night. On a scale of 1-10 it was an 11! And the staff at New Braunfels Escapes were incredible! They were so responsive and helpful. I looked for the right place for over a week and found this one when I called them last minute. The only thing that could be improved would be a bigger hot water heater (if several of us needed to shower the hot water was gone pretty quickly). I’ll stay here again for sure!

We enjoyed this trip so much! The house is perfect size for our large group of friends. Easy access to the river. Tons of room to hang outside. It was perfect.

The property and location were fantastic. The kayaks were included and the outdoor space was exactly what we were looking for! The kid only room is perfect, but does have outdoor access so little kids cannot stay. We noticed the first night that some items weren’t working or were broken and the maintenance came and fixed quickly. The house is older and could use some fixing up. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

The property is exactly as described, and the addition of beautiful weather let us enjoy the outdoor space to the fullest. Management was very responsive if we ever had any questions. We have already talked about coming up some time in summer months.

We had a girls weekend with friends and our mothers and we all had a BLAST. We drove the 30 min to the Wimberly market days and the drive was easy and felt quick. The house was perfect and everyone complemented me on this find!! The bunk room was awesome and roomy. The kitchen was big enough for all of us to be moving in and out of and was stocked with all we could need as far as dishes, appliances and kitchen ware. The outdoor space was wonderful with many places to gather and enjoy the view. We already plan to stay again.

Plan to stay for years to come. We did notice some small, and some not-so-small improvements since last summer and appreciate it! The one suggestion we have is to update a few of the mattresses (ex: the two rooms at the back (river side) of the upstairs), and to make them all Queen size or larger. Upgrading the full size bed to a Queen or King makes a huge comfort difference for 2 adults. Other than that, we love it!

We had the best time at the house for my bachelorette. The house is very well thought out and wow - what a location! We floated with little ponderosa and they are amazing as well!

Property location couldn't have been better. Plenty of room to play with the kids and relax by the river. The kitchen is supplied with all the necessary items to cook for your stay but they are not all clean. We did find hair in the tub before use.

It is always clean, more than enough room for our crew that ranges anywhere from 16-20+ adults, it has great access to the river where we can either float the river to the house, or from the house with drop off and pick up help from Little Ponderosa - or simply sit your booty in the water right in the back! We couldn't ask for better location or accommodations and we will continue to come back to Players Place year after year

This was by far one of the better homes on the river that accommodated all of us. The massive bunk room was perfect for the 8 grandkids. The river access was easily accessible which has been an issue at prior rentals. They had 2 refrigerators which was nice for all our drinks/food. 10 out of 10 would recommend for large family vacations.

We had a great time. This property was perfect for our very large and crazy family. Plenty of room for the kids and adults as well. River location is perfect . We just sat our chairs in the river and enjoyed the time away from the real world.

The house was perfect in every way with plenty of beds, open kitchen and dining, wonderful porches and great scenery. Our family and kids loved the chance to gather together in a beautiful house on the river. Highly recommended!!

I rented this house with a large group of friends for my birthday. It was a perfect location and size for our group. The porch, pavilion, and backyard were gorgeous, and we loved our time here! The kitchen was nice and large, and it made it easy to have many chefs in the kitchen. We had so much fun and a wonderful stay overall! I gave the house 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons. When it came to cleanliness, the house was mostly VERY clean. However, many kitchen utensils were put away not so clean, as well as pots, pans, and serving dishes that were in the house for guest use. I had to take several things out of the cupboards and re-wash before using. There was also no metal spatula for grilling, which would have been very helpful, since we grilled all weekend. The light switch covers were all this outdated fabric material, which made it so you can’t clean them properly. They were all covered in years worth of smudges, and it was kind of gross to see brown fingerprint smudges on fabric light switch covers all over the house.The online listing said that the house had two kayaks and two canoes for guest use, but we found that there was only one kayak and two canoes. There was also only 1 canoe paddle per canoe so it made paddling/steering on the river difficult. The listing also says that the grill is propane, yet one side of the grill is propane, and the other side is charcoal. It would have been nice to know prior to arrival, since we would have brought charcoal so we could use the whole grill. The house is rented by a property management group, so there was no property manager we could call or text outside office hours. I called on Thursday to ask several questions about the house - one of which was if we could have a late check out on Sunday. The gal I spoke with said to check back on Saturday, because we could have a late check out so long as nobody booked the house for Sunday night. So, I called back on Saturday and asked again if we could have a late check out on Sunday. The gal I spoke with that time said the same thing, only said we would have to wait until Sunday morning to find out if anyone booked. I called back Sunday morning only to find that I had to wait until the office opened at 10am to request late check out again. It was a little unorganized, but they did end up give us a late check out, in the end, which we were thankful for! They alsoprovide plenty of detailed check in/checkout info which made things easy.

Our group had an amazing time. Small family and friends get together. The house had everything we needed and New Braunfels Escapes were very helpful and accommodating.

The property and house were nice. It was clean and easy river access. Our family truly enjoyed our stay. The air conditioning seemed a bit out of sorts as some areas were cooler than others in the house, but the early morning temperatures made it pleasant to enjoy the outdoors The chairs outside should be upgraded as they are heavily worn out. Since that is where we spent a lot of our time it was the only thing we found that needed immediate attention. The outside cooking area was wonderful and comfy to sit and enjoy the breeze. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a place we'll definitely consider coming back to.
