We have stayed here twice now and we absolutely love it!

This cabin was so clean, well kept and very comfortable. It is well stocked with kitchen supplies, paper products, and towels. It was so pleasant not to have to pack all those additional items. The property was wonderful was so peaceful and had a beautiful view of the lake. The lake, however, was so reedy that we were not able to go in the water. That was a bit disappointing.

We spent 3 nights at Kate’s cabin. My husband, 5 year old and myself. The cabin is great, it has everything you coukd need, well stocked kitchen, lots of pillows, blankets, towels. We had some rain move through a couple of times so it was nice to have a smart tv, dvds and games in the cabin. The yard is huge and level making it perfect for yard games. The small little beach area was shallow/sandy and worked nice for our 5 year old, kind of weedy as you get further out but still good for floating the day away in tubes/kayaks. Our kiddo had a blast chasing after all of the little fish by the dock. We enjoyed our stay, we didn’t have to touch base with Kate other than at check-out which is a testament to how well she runs her rental! Check-in was a breeze. We would love to come stay again some time in the future.

A comfortable, clean, and private space. The lake access was the bonus of this rental. Shell Lake was peaceful and offered lots of great fishing. My teens were in a battle for most fish. The town was close with lots of eating options. Swimming was best at the public beach less than 2 miles away. The rental also had paddle boards, volleyball net, disc golf, and horseshoes. The family also enjoyed the indoor games. We highly recommend this place.

Had a great weekend staying at this cabin in Shell Lake!! We were in the area to cheer our son on at the 49th annual Berkie cross country ski race! Cabin is comfortable, well stocked and clean. Have visited 2x both in the winter, beautiful sunrise over the lake! I bet Lake views in the summer months are awesome!

My husband and I rented this cabin for a short ice fishing trip. It was in a great location for where we wanted to be on the lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The mud room was very convenient for our ice fishing clothes. We had a trailer with a 4-wheeler on it so the large parking area that was plowed was really nice to have. Also being right next to the public boat landing was great for getting the 4-wheeler out in the lake. The cabin is decorated with puzzles that have been completed by the family o er the years. I really loved seeing that.

Very pleasant stay In well furnished cabin. Beds were better than usually find in cabins. Kate was generous in special rate for our rental.

My wife and I and another couple stayed here for a wedding in town. It worked out perfectly. And, it sounds like it was quite a bit better than the local hotel.

So beautiful! Definitely booking again!

We had a wonderful vacation even though halfway through our stay we lost Wifi and TV. Kate responded very fast and tried everything she could to get it fixed for us but they couldn't send out a technician to fix the issue until after our stay was over. Kate was kind enough to give us a partial refund for the inconvenience of not having internet or TV. But the house has everything you need and we brought some movies and luckily they had a DVD player. Games and puzzles, fishing. We had a wonderful time!! It was so wonderful to stay at a place that had no stairs since I'm in a wheelchair and could easily maneuver through the house and outside. Will definitely come back!! Kate was a wonderful host!!

Wonderful stay and perfect for all ages! We loved the flat yard and access to lake. Really thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. Such a great location too! We also really appreciated being able to take our dog who is a part of our family.

Lovely house, yard, beach, on beautiful Shell Lake.

We had such a great time at this cabin. We have three kids (7, 5 and 2) and it was a wonderful setup. The kids loved the bunk beds. Love the open concept and space to hang out inside when we were eating/relaxing. The smart tv and Wi-Fi were nice for us as parents so kids could still watch cartoons and such when we needed them to take a break. The beach area and shallow water was awesome for our young kids. My oldest loved the fishing right off the doc! There is also a ton of privacy on the lot. Super quiet, lots of wildlife and very nice setting. Only 5 mins into town for ice cream and the public beach and park. Only 2 min from Potters Shed for coffee. We’ve already booked for next year. Thanks Kate!

We had a wonderful family get away! Our pup had a great time swimming in the lake and running around the big yard! House was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Wish the fishing had been better, but the weather wasn’t great for it. Would definitely stay here again!

Our out of state son was flying in with buddies to ski the Birkie. This cabin’s location allowed us to cheer him as he started, cheer mid point, return to the cabin to let our dog out and be at the finish in Hayward to see him!! Well stocked clean cabin with everything we needed. Sunrises over the lake we’re absolutely stunning!!

We really enjoyed our Christmas vacation stay at this property! It was very clean and well stocked for us and our children. It is an ideal location. It is just enough by itself to be private and yet has plenty for shopping close by or for eating out! We definitely will stay here again!

The cabin was well maintained and had lots of games and activities to keep us busy. We took a few nice paddles around the lake and caught some bass and northerners. We also saw several bald eagles which was pretty neat. The fall colors were excellent as well! Overall a great trip!

We had a very nice time at this cottage. Nice grounds with a large flat grassy yard and a pier to fish from in Shell Lake. We caught some very nice sunfish and released them. Very comfortable beds. Nice clean place. The air smells so nice with the autumn scents and the night sky was great. Saw a couple shooting stars. Neighbors are all very friendly. We took a couple of day trips to Hayward and the Apostle Islands. Very nice peaceful time.

Have stayed here before and had just another fabulous trip. The only difficulty we had was docking the boat with the low water but made it work.

Wonderful getaway for two couples, it was Great. This cabin had it all for us. From a fully stocked kitchen to a near perfect outdoor area. With a special view of the lake and great access to the water a sandy beach and some water toys. along with all the outdoor games you could play, A great fire pit area also! Kate also gave us all the local info and some great highlights we did not know. She was very easy to communicate with. So Thank you Kate for sharing your cabin we will be back!!~

Perfect place to get some peace and quiet away from the cities! My boys loved all of the places to go geochaching. Will stay again :)

Would come again. We enjoyed catching bluegill from the dock. Plenty of room for our dogs to run and play.

Every detail of the little lake house is so well planned out. There is a hook to hang everything, a bench everywhere you want one, every dish or utensil we wanted to use, an outdoor chair everywhere you want to sit, and a very clever outdoor heater shower. The lot is just perfect. There is privacy with nice lawn and beach. We loved using the paddle boats and being able to dock our rental pontoon on the dock. The only problem is that too many people know about this great place now and it is fully booked for next summer already.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said?! Our family enjoyed our stay and had perfect weather for playing on the lake with the kayaks and paddleboards for hours at a time. It was peaceful. Quiet. Relaxing. We saw eagles, cranes, loons, deer, crazy chipmunks, and fish swimming right off the dock. I didn’t want to leave. The cabin had everything you could ever need (including a fully stocked kitchen and washer/dryer) and more. It was clean, well kept, and felt spacious for our family of 4. Beds were very comfortable. There’s also a grill, fire pit, and a small, sandy beach. The kids were leery of swimming off the end of the dock due to the seaweed, so we did spend a few hours at the large, sandy beach in town. If you're stuck indoors, there’s a good selection of games. From the beginning, communication with Kate was phenomenal. She answered questions quickly, and was gracious enough to let us check-in early. We greatly appreciated the convenience of being able to stay less than a week. We realize it's more work for the owners, but it's a great option for families who can only get away for a few days at a time during the summer. Please don't stop offering shorter stays. Check-in was also a breeze. We’ll be back next year. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of heaven with us, Kate!!

What a wonderful place this is! The cabin is so spacious with very comfortable furniture and is stocked with absolutely everything you could ever need. Located on a very private lot with excellent access to the lake which has such clear water and plenty of room for water sports. Our boys absolutely loved taking the Kayaks out in the early morning to do some fishing. We brought our boat and it worked out perfectly. We felt so relaxed in this wonderful lake home. Kate was so easy to deal with. We highly recommend booking this amazing property!
