The property was even better than I anticipated. The variety of beach gear was wonderful. The home was very comfortable. Each lanai has a slightly different view and shade at different times of the day. In the morning, I drank coffee in different locations, depending on the position of the sun. the complex amenities were terrific. We watched whales from the Oceanside pool. I was a bit surprised that the master bedroom has a large opening (“window” or loft-like feel). This probably helped with airflow, but I was unable to turn any kitchen or living room lights on when I woke up earlier than my husband. Thankfully, the weather was perfect for me to sit on the lanai instead. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

We loved the location and set up of this property. It was convenient and quiet. We had a family of 6 and the pull out sofa was perfect for my dad so he didn’t have to go up the stairs. I think the best thing we really appreciated were all the little details that the owner included such as night lights, beach towels, soy sauce and spices, and other items that made our stay so welcoming. Also it was nice to have a washer/dryer right there. We even had the pool all to ourselves. We had no issues checking in or out. There is no AC but lots of fans and the unit gets pretty cool at night. My family agreed that we would stay here again. Thank you!

The 5th time we’ve stayed at Turtlehouse and will be back next year. Friends who have been multiple times say it’s the most homelike unit they have seen and they have come for more than 20 years. Nothing more you can say. It’s likely the best on the island

Location is super and we especially love water views from the lanai and the ocean pool!

This condo was spacious and had everything we needed during our short visit. The location is great -easy to go anywhere in the island. Every room had its private lanai with a view..highly recommended!

We loved our stay at the Turtle House :) We have3 kids and this condo was more than comfortable for us. The kids had their own room downstairs, and our master suite upstairs had its own bathroom and deck. The deck off the main living area was large and had a table for us to eat our meals outside with a view. We loved the Ocean Pool and had fun playing pickle ball on the tennis courts (we brought the pickle ball rackets). We really appreciated being able to borrow some snorkel gear as we were short a couple sets. When we ventured out, the complex was central to lots of great activities / beaches in the area and the main store was close enough for a 15 minute walk. Big time thanks to Stacey for the flexibility on the end of our trip as we had to stay in HI an extra day due to a snowstorm at home. Thank you!

Our group of 4, stayed in Stacey's beautiful condo for a month. After a day of exploring the island, beaching and/or diving coming back to a well stocked, clean, and comfortable home was fantastic. We liked the floor plan. The lanais off each bedroom provided a space for each couple to have quiet time and the common area was great for chats, games, food, and drink. Stacey is an excellent host. She is easy to contact and to chat with. I whole-heartedly recommend this property. Thanks!

This home (condominium) was ideal for our stay....a spacious two bedroom home with many outdoor lanais and a view of the bay. The home had many extras that made our stay so easy-- beach towels, snorkels, even tennis racquets...it felt like we were staying with a friend. Everything was clean, comfortable (great beds) and relaxing.

House was great and Lanai was awesome to sit out on everyday. Its real warm in summer and fans helped but still warm during daytime- so be prepared. Master bedroom was very comfortable and property was quiet and beautiful. Love to stay here again

The condo was in a good location, close to several beaches and downtown. Stacey was an amazing source of information. She had a complete list of activities both on VRBO and a very thorough folder in the house. She also was very helpful with questions. The condo was beautiful and had all the amenities needed.

This was a lovely surprise for my family. We could explore down to the bay just in our back yard. Enjoy spectacular sunset views from the balcony and along the shoreline. The pools are short skip from the front door. Be sure to slather on sunscreen!! We enjoyed this rental and highly recommend you do too!

We stayed here for two weeks with my family. The home was clean and beautiful. The views are tremendous and the furniture comfortable and nice. The complex offers beautiful pools and walkways with friendly staff. It's very close to Kona but offers the peace and quiet of being south of the downtown. The bay offers private and wonderful snorkeling that has not been trampled by overcrowded touristy areas. The owner is very gracious and responded very quickly to every question. We loved our stay here!

This condo was great for our family of 5. We had a great view of the bay and loved listening to the sound of the waves in the bay at night. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals and the beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean upon arrival. We would stay here again!

Very hot, could not have made it without the fans, except for the heat it is a great place to stay. Pat

Owners were very nice and communicative. Location is perfectly situated for many big island activities! The condo was large, well appointed and very nice. Great stay!

We absolutely loved Turtle House. The ocean views were wonderful. You could see the water from almost every room. The three balconies all had water views with the downstairs one having an amazing view. We enjoyed sitting out on that one the most . Turtle house had a wonderfully stocked kitchen including many spices and other things you do not usually find when you rent. The house was decorated beautifully and the beds were super comfy. Also the ocean breezes kept the rooms cool and when you slept it was nice hearing the ocean waves. Everything was provided including snorkel gear, beach chairs, books, games, plenty of fans, a raft, etc. The complex included 3 pools with one being an ocean pool and one an Adult only pool. It was convenient to a shopping center and Beach. Enjoyed having restaurants nearby so we did not have to drive to Kona which was only about a 25 minute drive. We will be back in two years and hope to rent from Stacey again. We have stayed in this complex before but The Turtle house was best with the views and other amenities. Roomy condo with 3 lanai, ocean views, very clean and well equipped in a quiet, beautifully maintained complex. We especially likd the Ocean side pool and grilling station just outside our entryway. Owner and manager are responsive and thoughtful. When we arrived there was a large bowl of fresh tropical fruit and island goodies waiting for us! We recommend it highly as long as stairs are not an issue. We stayed for a month and had a wonderful time!

Beautiful, quiet complex on the ocean. Lovely unit! Clean, comfortable, great view, quiet. Close to grill, pool, etc. Very responsive owner & manager. I highly recommend it! We stayed 4 werks.

we stayed at Stacey's for 6 weeks this year, because we missed last year. we got our fill of all our fun Big Island things to do as well as caught up with our friends from eastern USA. this place is great will all the stuff you need to feed and clean yourself and no silly air conditioning--who goes to the best climate on earth to use a/c. Beats me but some apparently think its necessary. Anyway, cant wait for our return visit with VRBO's best hostest!!!

After 4 days on Waikiki, we were ready for some chill time, which we got at Turtle House. We knew going in that it did not have a/c, but the multitude of fans helped immensely. LOVED having lots of space to hang out, and being able to cook our own food, instead of eating out every meal. Thankful for the boogie boards, the snorkel gear, and everything else we needed to make this a relaxing stay. Thanks, Stacey!

Turtle House is within walking distance to Keauhou Bay for snorkeling, Manta Rays, yoga, turtle viewing, canoe club paddling, farmers Market and much more. The condo is decorated with turtle art and well appointed in every way! Beds are comfy, beach gear is provided and the owner is very responsive. ( made sure we had a refrigerator when the existing one died!) The view over the black sand beach and sunsets were great and we had lots of privacy the way the decks are situated. Pools here are clean and access to the lava walk and coast are awesome.

This is our second time in this complex. Very quiet and friendly. Close enough to town but away from all the people and cruise ships. Best condo!! Very well furnished.

Beutiful condo. Very big, very clean, nicely furnished, nicely decorated! Great complex. Big, 3 balconies. Pictures are spot on correct. Great parking. Condo had plenty of fans and everything else. please pay attention to the expected tempatures for your visit. No A/C, but you would not really want it, just know that if it is 87 outside, during the day the condo will be warm, but that is the time to go out and stay cool. Night and mornings were so nice even with the hot days. Sleeping was very good with sounds of ocean and being cool from the fans. Great place, we stayed 10 nights in Sep, other times of year will be cooler or have the trade winds.

I have been to the Hawaiian islands 12 times. The turtle house is one of the best units I have stayed in. The Kanaola at Kona resort is a beautiful resort. The staff is outstanding!!

Very nice condo to base out of! Well maintained & comfortable. The pools are great. Walk to the bay handy. Note: there are stairs due to build style.

Turtle house was a great place to stay, well equipped with almost everything we needed for a great vacation-snorkeling gear, beach chairs & towels, activity/guide books. Kanaloa has three pools, our favorite was the oceanside pool. It is a short drive to some great snorkeling beaches and the view of the small bay is quite nice. We ate out on the Lanai every day. Like most places in Hawaii, there is no a/c but Stacey has equipped every room with multiple fans. It does cool down at night but some days, especially with a little sun burn, felt a little warm. Overall though, it is a really nice rental and would recommend it to others.
