This was a beautiful spot on the lake, and lake was very clean except for the day someone upstream blew grass clippings in the lake and it gathered on our shoreline. Our owner’s lawn guy said they can get a $500 fine for doing that. The front porch had a gorgeous view. Lots of bedrooms and enough bathrooms. Friendly Suggestions: The mattresses in the large twin bedroom could stand to be replaced with more comfortable ones. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. You can rent a pontoon boat (which we did) just down the road which is within walking distance.

This is a beautiful, clean and easy to love home on Diamond Lake. So relaxing...and the master bedroom is amazing. What a week here. Diamond Lake is a wonder, and this property is in the heart of it. Walking distance to the local golf course and farmer's market. My family of 4 had a perfect end-of-summer week here. Thank you, Wendy!

Our family spend the week at this wonderful lake house. We enjoyed the beautiful lake and the lake house met all of our expectations. We had 6 adults and 3 children under 10. The house had everything we need to enjoy a week with our entire family. I would highly recommend.. This is our second year in this house.

We enjoyed our stay. We liked using the provided kayaks and stand-up paddle board. Two of the bedrooms were small would be the only negative.

Wendy was very easy to work with, we had a great time celebrating our wedding weekend with family and friends. Highly recommend renting this water from cottage!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on Diamond Lake. The home was spacious, clean, well stocked and the location was perfect. Stunning views of the lake. Our grandkids loved to swim and play near the dock. Wendy responding quickly to our questions. Everything was as expected or better. We have already booked the home again for next summer.

A group of friends and I stayed for a long weekend. The house was very clean, had everything you needed (for cooking, cleaning, etc.), and had an amazing view of the lake! We will definitely be booking another trip to this house in the future.

We stayed at this property in order to get some outside time away from the city. We had plenty of space to spread out and spent most of our time at the firepit and out on the dock and top of the boat house! Wendy was great in communicating with us to make our stay as easy as possible - would rent again in the future.

Just what we were looking for. House and lake were great. Kayaks used daily by kids(19+) and in a perfect location.

Great experience visiting Diamond Lake. The house was clean, views from master bedroom and sun room were awesome! Spent a lot of time on boat house deck and had multiple fires too! Grill and other amenities were as advertised.

The owner was very communicative. The accommodations were perfect for us. Great location.

This is now our second time renting from Wendy. We had a great time and enjoyed the size of the home providing room for all to "chill." The view from the deck above the boat house is awesome looking out over the lake. We will be back next year!

Our family loved this property! The beds were comfortable, there was ample seating both inside and outside for meals, the kitchen space was great and the owners were friendly to work with! We hope to go again next year!

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake cottage. It was spotless, had so much living space, a perfectly appointed kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, an incredible view and location to the lake. The photos do not do this location justice. The owners were responsive and very helpful. Parking for four cars was not a problem at all. We had a very relaxing wonderful time and everything was perfect. Above and beyond what we expected.

My family came from all over the world to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday(she grew up in Cassopolis and spent much of her childhood on Diamond Lake). What a lovely home with beautiful views and all the amenities! Wendy went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the kayaks, Sunfish and paddleboard....I highly recommend this property.

Great weekend get away from it all with family! Kids on the dock at the crack of dawn with their fishing poles...and the grill was fired up every day! Thanks Wendy, we will be back soon.

Our family rented for a week and really enjoyed our stay. Wendy was a very gracious host making sure we were comfortable in the house. We experienced a problem with the fridge and after letting Wendy know of the problem she was on the phone and had a repair lined up right away. Wendy solved the problem also offering to reimburse for any spoiled food which we had none. My grandkids voted to return next year so we will. Lounging on top of the boat house was a real bonus that we all enjoyed. Thanks Wendy!

We loved our time at your lake house. Your home offered many areas for people to gather together. I really liked the roof top sun deck. Beautiful view of Diamond Lake. The fire pot was a fun way to end our very busy day on the water. The view from the master bedroom is stunning! What a great way to start your day!

My family spent a week at the Mitchell home and we loved everything about it. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We will be coming back.

Lovely house, horrible experience! We spend one week in August 2017 at the home. One week (7 full days) after departing the property, I received the following email from the owner: When I arrrived this week I noticed the following: 1. One of the retaining walls has clearly been moved and is dislocated from the parking area. There are tire marks on the wall. I know you asked about parking a boat trailer, however I understand that there were actually two boat trailers parked there. The tires of one of the trailers ran over the the blocks pushing the wall away from the parking area. It's noticeable. I have called a wall/landscaper to come over and give us a quote. I will send pictures. 2. Noticed one of our blue life jackets was missing. I needed this replaced ASAP as our sons were coming. Ordered through Amazon for $39.95. 3. Our cleaning lady found some new spots on our furniture. We had all the cushions cleaned before your arrival. These pics will come in the next email as well. We were charged $500 for this damage, that we did not cause!! Not only have we been boat owners for over 15 years with tons of trailoring/backing up experience, the other family with us is a licensed landscaper. If we would have caused this, we would have taken care of it prior to our departure - it was not there upon our departure! Anyone could have done this in the 7 days that no one was at the home. I honestly would have sued the owner for our security deposit back but I was dealing with my father's illness/ treatments for metastatic bone cancer. It was not worth my time! If you are at all still interested, in this home, I would demand a full walk through upon arrival and on your departure. Additionally, there is equipment/water sports items that are not listed in the lake equipment waiver and you could become liable for those itens you are not even aware of nor are they secure at the home (in the open boat house and entryway of the home). Full disclosure - they did not charge us for the life jacket, they felt $500 was enough. If I could attach pictures, I would showing the alleged damage. Thanks.

Loved being at this cottage!! There were 9 of us and there was enough room for us. We kayaked and used the SUP. We all had so much fun!! Wendy was easy to work with!

This lake house is one of a kind, the views from inside the house with the large windows are spectacular. My wife and our three young children made the most of our visit by enjoying several activities including but not limited to, fishing, kayaking, swimming at the marina beach, pontoon rental, sandbar lunch, ice cream on the boat house, camp fire in the evening, family movie night, and grilled meals beneath the pergola outside. Wendy was available if needed, but there wasn't much to ask for because the house has it all. We hope to do it again, Diamond Lake is a great lakehouse vacation destination.

We had 6 adults and 5 children and the place was plenty sufficient. There is a lot to do whether it's Kayaking, campfires, jumping off the dock or taking the boat out on a fantastic, clean, spring fed lake.(considering you brought a boat, it's not included) Wendy was very attentive with us while we were staying there, and very responsive if we had any questions. Sitting out on the boat house patio at night during a full moon was pretty amazing. The house has an outdoor shower, which i actually found to be a very cool feature. We were able to come out of the lake, and get all the kids cleaned up before they even came into the house. I had never seen this before but will definitely be something I'll put into a lake property we purchase in the future. There could have been some more queen size beds instead all of the single beds, but i'm pulling hairs at this point. Overall, the house was nice, the owner was great to work with, and most importantly, the kids had a blast and we certainly made some memories we'll cherish forever. Thanks to the Mitchell's for letting our families enjoy their great lake house.
