The property is beautiful but it was little hard to find. However, it was a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The place was beautiful! All the items were provided and the property was super clean. It was awesome to have an elevator in the townhome with 3 floors! Super easy to check in and check out. Communication was great as well.

The property was just as presented. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach for morning walks and the lighthouse.

We had an amazing time! Our Girl Scout troop chose Tybee as their end of the season getaway. It was better than described and much nicer in person. More than enough room for our group of 11 people! The rooms were large and spacious, the balconies on each floor was great. You’re literally steps from the beach and the view of the water from the balcony was picture perfect! Everything you need is provided except a beach towel and food! The elevator was a lifesaver with all our provisions and luggage. There’s a kumquat tree on property that was beautiful. We grilled out one evening and the gas grill was great!! Our group didn’t want to leave!! You’re within walking distance to the lighthouse which was a fun experience! Highly recommend this cozy and welcoming beach house

There are a few cosmetic things here and there so if you need perfection in that area this might not be your vacation house. On the other hand, if you want a home away from home, suited to a large family or group relax and enjoy kind of feel I recommend this place. My one complaint would be the main tv needs an upgrade, speakers are terrible and there is no ability to access internet streaming options.

We were happy we selected this location. Nice little beach access on the north side of the island gives it somewhat of a private feel away from the main beach access points, which was a huge plus to our group! The place was very clean and the check in/out process was easy.

The townhouse was very close to beach and was in a great area however we had a few issues from seeing several bugs to living room ceiling leaking during a rain storm and WiFi not working for a day during our stay. The check in and check out process was easy and quick. I feel like the rental management company could do a better job taking care of the rentals before renting out.

The roof need to be repaired and spray for bugs. Plus outdoor shower needs to be cleaned out

The home is lovely and is situated near a beautiful stretch of private beach. It exceeded our expectations for room and comfort for our three generation family Vacation. The rental agency was very good with communication before and during the stay. Can’t wait to return to Tybee in the future!

We had three generations in this home for a week long 70th birthday celebration. The house was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our needs. It is a quick, easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed the ocean view from the home.

Other than the severely damaged stove top we all loved it! It's a solid surface stove top with a big hole in it and cracks around the hole. We were all shocked to see such a nice property with such a dangerous stove top. Quite frankly the heating element was exposed as well as sharp edges. I hope this gets fixed ASAP!

Planned a week-long vacation to Tybee Island with my husband’s family. This was the second family trip in 18 years, so this was special with the family additions. We loved our stay at the Sandcastle. It was very spacious for a family of 10. The beach was a further walk than we thought, but we spent every day there. On our second day there, we took family photos on the beach. It was special. Thank you for letting us stay at the Sandcastle!

Great stay on the island. The weather could have been a bit better at the beginning of the week but that didn't stop us from playing in the sand and surf (the waves are smaller at the northern tip of the island). The turtle pond near the house was a popular attraction as well. From the house, it was an easy commute into Savannah for a dance competition. The house was nicely decorated and well appointed with plenty of blankets and towels. It was wonderful to see the ocean from the house. The elevator was a handy feature for loading and unloading the cars, as well as a novelty for the kids. Main level of the house was well set up for entertaining a large group, and with 5 bedrooms everyone has privacy as well. I would definitely recommend this house and island to others.

Annual friends get together was a very pleasant experience. Elevator was a must. TV operation needs some guidance with a menu for channel selection.

Loved this house. So much fun and space to spread out! Views were great and lots of deck space. We had a grumpy HOA guy come by and tell us hanging towels on railing is against the HOA rules. Then went on to throw a little fit that since a service vehicle was at the house working, we were using up too many parking spots (even though it was less than an hour and We had no other renters around us). And a few little things around house needed fixed but they were fixed right away. And I was impressed how well Tybee rentals tried to help with the little things. I found the beach access was great and had a wonderful stay! Overall a great stay and I would absolutely recommend this property for large groups needing the space.

A group of 11 friends and I occupied Sandcastle during our visit to Tybee Island. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our needs. There was an issue with the linens being clean in one of the bedrooms upon our arrival but it was immediately rectified. We had a few problems with the appliances but not enough to damper our stay. In the future we would come back to visit.

This was my 60th birthday girl's getaway! What a wonderful place to spend time with friends. The house accommodated most of our needs. Enjoyed the open concept of the home. The elevator was a great asset as well. Would definitely recommend this home. I would suggest some kind of electronic garage opener to eliminate having someone to close it from the inside. TVR company provided a seamless check in and out! Thanks for a great stay!

The description of this house online is very misleading. It stated it’s near the beach and that’s true but it doesn’t tell you what you have to go through to get to the actual beach. It’s like going through a jungle to get to the actual beach. The house itself has a weird setup. There are 3 bedrooms on the second floor and the kitchen and the other bedroom are on the third floor. The fourth floor has two twin beds and no television and bathroom. I was there with my girlfriends and their kids and the setup didn’t allow for the adults to have alone time since there was no television for the room on the fourth floor which is setup to be used for children. This house offers very little television channels, especially if you have children there with you. You can get more channels if you stayed at a hotel. You rent a house so you can have the comforts of home but instead this house is the worst. It was being around family and friends that made the stay tolerable.

We stayed at the sandcastle for 7 days. Very peaceful and quiet setting. Tybee vacation rental is professional and great to work with. We will be going back!

Our family loved the spacious great room on the third floor. We had lots of space for viewing TV, playing card games, cooking and eating. The balconies on the third and second floors gave a great view of the ocean. There are utensils and cooking equipment to cook all your meals "at home" if you choose. Some attention is needed to the washer. It shakes excessively in the spin cycle. It is an easy walk to the beach. The bedrooms are lovely and inviting. Beds are comfortable. I would put a mirror and a dresser in each bedroom. The floors are "hardwood" and easy to sweep up the sand that came in with visits to the beach. The elevator was convenient for the older members of our family. We will have wonderful memories of our visit here.

This house has seen some use, with scratches on most every wall and basic appliances that barely work. A few examples: the dryer takes three full cycles to dry towels and the stove was not strong enough to bake garlic bread, and the Jacuzzi tub lacks by both a functioning Jacuzzi system and cold water.The home has two lovely fireplaces that are unfortunately for decorative purposes only, taking away some of the aesthetic appeal from the home. While the beach is directly across the road, the beach access is not. We were harassed by condominium owners -from their porches- and told that our entrance was down the street about a quarter of a mile. Having stayed at some beautiful VRBOs in the past, we had high expectations for the home given its higher price, considering it was off season. Again, we were disappointed by mediocre furnishings and finishes that looked like they had been picked up in a mIf and-match bin from goodwill. If you have children and are looking for ready access to the beach then this is not the house for you. If you want a quiet get away with minimal ocean views and decorative fireplaces, then you may be in luck. In the future, we will stay at another property.
