We had a great time during our stay. The location was very good and close to the beach. We had a large group with room for everyone. We had lots of cookout in the backyard, the grill was perfect.

Our first visit to Anna Maria Island. The floor plan and location were just right. Easy walk (3 blocks) to a beautiful beach or the free trolley, even closer to a small park with playground and basketball court on the intercostal side. Several options to gather or spend time alone with seating outside on 3 separate decks plus the patio. Beach wagon, folding chairs and sand toys were appreciated. We spent most of our time walking the beach, exploring the island, shops and restaurants. The free trolley was a nice way to see other parts of AMI without having to park. The Ugly Grouper was our favorite but get there early. Nice landscaping and palm trees helped property feel more private. Perfect relaxing vacation base for our family.

We had a great experience! Our family of 9 (including one young child) stayed in the Pirates Nest. It was a clean, spacious property right within walking distance to the beach. We made so many memories, can’t wait to go back!

Totally enjoyed our stay and all of the house amenities. Very clean, comfortable and lots of extras we did not expect like a really nice welcome bag. The staff was amazing to work with and even met us at the house with a very minor wifi issue. The gentleman, without us asking, made a courtesy call to one of the local Publix to confirm they carried distilled water. Talk about going above and beyond, very much appreciated.

We stayed here for a small vacation. Included was 6 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room for all of us! Quick walk to the beach and shopping! Will stay again! :)

It was okay. They charge us a cleaning fee, but we had to wash all the towels that we used. I didn’t make sense for us! Also, there were rats around the garden and the AC wasn’t working correctly it was to hot.

Our stay here was great! There was plenty of room for two families. We used the back patio a lot! We had a few small issues with the coffee pot, disposal, and cooking utensils but the rental company addressed our needs/concerns immediately. If I had a critique, it would be the knives and pots/pans. The knives were not very sharp and we could have used more and/or larger cookware. Thanks for a great stay!

It was an awesome experience

We really enjoyed our time here! It’s just a short walk to the beach. There is lots of deck and patio space which we definitely utilized. A great stay for larger families.

For the price we paid for a month stay, I expected more. The home is in need of some serious upgrading. Many of the outdoor cushions are faded and ripped. The appliances are old and the refrigerator had broken drawers, broken condiment holders and had water that pooled every day at the bottom of the fridge. The vacuum was broken and was not picking up hair or sand, although the property management company did deliver a new working vacuum. Most of the plates and pots are old and in need of replacement. Overall, to expect someone to pay what we did (in which we were told next year it would be even more for the month) is ridiculous. This home needs a lot of TLC. The location is great and is convenient.

Good communication with rental company for this property. 1 block from the beach. House very clean. Needs new bed linens. Some worn and grey(didn’t look clean).

We really enjoyed this house! It was great for our short visit. Everything was as described.

My friends and I enjoyed this house. It's cozy and cottagy but ample enough to accommodate two families. The house provides all of the necessities you could think of, and the welcome "goodies" bag was a bonus. The house was clean and well kept. I loved the patio rocking chairs in the front porch that did not seem to be rocking chairs at first sight! Some suggestions would be to have a couple more chairs for the dining table and better quality bath towels. The upstairs A/C unit cooled the rooms unevenly. Overall, we had a comfortable and great experience.

We loved our stay. The house is confortable. The master bedroom is lovely with the sunrise every morning. Some appliances are a bit dated, but functional. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Location is everything when we plan our beach vacation. This house was only 2 blocks from the beach access which we loved. It is on a narrow area of the island (with many residential houses) so the beach was not crowded. We fly from to Florida not drive…So if you don’t drive down or have a rental car this is how we got around. We had a car service called ALD Limos from Sarasota airport take us to our beach house. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the trolley stop from the beach house. We rented a golf cart that seated 4 and we had 8 in our party so we used the trolley and the golf cart. I recommend reserving a golf cart at least 2 months in advance because they get booked up quickly. At least the less expensive ones do. Our golf cart was 750 for the week (bc we waiting to book) and other places rented there’s for 350 for the week. Just a heads up to save some $$. The Publix grocery store was 0.6 miles from us. Beautiful beach~~amazing sunset~~warm water~~got to see manatees swim by along with dolphins on a separate day. We honestly don’t care about the beach house amenities. As long as there are enough bedrooms and baths we are happy!! So if your looking for an updated beach house this may not be for you. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. Bean Point was also a beautiful place to head to with your morning coffee to look for shells and just take in the gorgeous sunrise. We love Anna Maria Island and will definitely visit again! I tried to include things in my review about the location and transportation that others left out because I had to read through endless reviews for tidbits of info that I was looking for.

While we liked this property as it was walking distance from the beach, and the bay. We’ve stayed at many other properties that came more stocked. So if you’re used to that - it’s a bit shocking to not have any spices or condiments. Most other properties also go by a if you use it up - replace it. Such items like TP or Paper towels. Those are just minor things and something we are used to. As far as everything else goes, the house could stand some updating. The front deck didn’t really feel safe as it is sagging super bad. The single bed room on the first floor had a water leak coming through the walls while it rained. We notified the management company but never saw anyone come by. It rained all week, so unfortunately that room was not useable. We did enjoy our time though!

Dining table was filthy and dishes in cabinets were dirty! Lots of clean towels and sheets and the washer/dryer worked great, dishwasher not so much!

First of all the property manager Alex is wonderful and super prompt in taking care of the couple issues I had! Would not hesitate one bit to rent a property he manages.The house itself could be a complete gem if the owner would give it just a little TLC. Outdoor furniture needs replaced (nothing expensive just new) I understand the salt air and weather is tough on it! I would definitely add a kuerig to the kitchen inexpensive and a nice little touch! The location itself is perfect, great areas to walk your fur babies. The neighbors are friendly and the area is very safe to walk about. *** Just an FYI to those that would be bringing their dogs, the porches are perfect for them to enjoy the weather, the fenced backyard area does not have any grass it is all crushed shells (which is pretty typical in Florida) my dog just was not a fan so we walked a lot (good for me). So bring lots of doggie bags and keep the area beautiful! I would rent this property again

We enjoyed our stay at the Pirates Nest for Thanksgiving 2020. It was a family trip so the house was full and we used just about every inch, lol!. We loved the location, just a short walk to the beach or the park by the bay. Also loved the front porches where we spent the majority of our outdoor time when we weren't at the beach or the park. The property is older so if you are looking for the most up to date amenities, you won't find them here but if good family time is your goal than this place would fit the bill. We would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is big and allowed us to spread out when needed. Even though you can’t see the beach from the house, there is a beautiful view of the bay from the upstairs master bedroom to watch the sun rise. There is also a brand new washing machine for all of those beach towels that are provided. The house is walking distance to many great restaurants! This was our first time to Anna Maria Island and we were impressed.

Rental process was easy and efficient. The property manager was quick to respond and accommodating. I feel the property itself could use some TLC and deep cleaning and a few more features to make it more accommodating; especially for our 2 week stay.

Nice house with plenty of accomodations.

The site did not have items that could be used on the beach, no chairs in particular. The mattresses were poor and need to be replaced. The neighbors were jaded and the street was not nice. Not sure I would stay here again.

This is a great beach house just a short walk away from the beach. Home is comfortable and sleeps more than I can count. Has multiple decks. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect beach home!

What a cute place. We all had a blast. Definitely want to go back!
