Beautiful views out of every window, well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean. Excellent location for exploring the Columbia River Gorge. Tao was very helpful with figuring out the mini split for A/C, very necessary on some sunny, unseasonably hot days and offering restaurant suggestions. There are 36 steps and long walkways, most without a handrail, so pack in small duffle bags or totes-rollaboards have to be carried most of the way.

A perfect place to enjoy views and get away for a night!

I can't say enough about this property!! The view is out of this world, especially at sunset! The guest house is comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and within easy access to all the Hood River area has to offer. If you are considering a visit to the Hood River area, this is the place to stay. You will not regret it!! I will be recommenting this place to family and friends.

The views are astonishing! Staying here made our trip over the top memorable! Waking up to sunrises and going to bed after sunsets of Mt Hood and the River Gorge will never be forgotten!

This house exceeded expectations, it's such a unique place to stay in the Hood River area. The views over the gorge are stunning, we spent hours relaxing in the chairs and watching the sunsets. It had all of the amenities that we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Although it was very hot during our stay, the blinds helped to keep the house comfortable. It's a very private location, but the house is a short drive to restaurants in White Salmon. We hope to come back in the future.

This is a fabulous VRBO! We thoroughly enjoyed an outing each day during our stay, however, the actual "staying" part of our stay in this wonderful rental was a highlight: The view! The wildlife! The clean, minimalistic style, and nice decor inside of the property! We will definitely be coming back.

The views at this property were magical. During our second night, Mt. Hood became visible, the sun glistered off the river, deer, naturally walked through the snow, we starred profoundly at everything that was in front of us. It was really amazing to stay here. All you need is to just sit down and enjoy to view, even when there is a blizzard, it is still fun to see all that snow around you. Amazing experience. I totally recommend.

From the moment you drive up to the property, you just know it is going to be special. Tao was gracious enough to allow us to check in a little early so we could open a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the sunset (well, it was cloudy, but that doesn't change the facts). The house is equipped with everything you could need. We just felt like they really did think of every detail. The view - oh man, the view. We have travelled a lot, but we never forget how incredible the northwest is. The view of the gorge, the mountain, Hood River and the Columbia river from this property - I mean, I just isn't fair to other places :). We will definitely return to this house - we really didn't want to leave in the first place!

Wow! The this is themost amazing property we have ever stayed in. Tao and Jaime have thought of every detail, our stay was pure bliss. This is the most thoughtfully designed house with the most beautiful view, quiet, private and absolutely perfect. It is hard to leave it to enjoy the surrounding outdoor beauty in the gorge. Great location for a get away retreat. The in person views are indescribable, you have to see it for yourself.

Tao was the most gracious host. The property and view are absolutely amazing. I really thought it might not be as nice as the pictures online and it was better! The bed which online looks a bit minimalist was super comfortable. We enjoyed FEAST and Henni's Kitchen and Bar in White Salmon. Some places aren't open on Monday and Tuesday so unfortunately we missed White Salmon Bakery. I have sent this property to many friends and told them this is not to be missed. If you are thinking about booking....just do it. You will not be disappointed.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It was simply amazing in every way. One thing that really stands out is the care of making sure you have everything you need. Well stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, you name it. It has everything you need to make sure the trip is prefect. and it was.

Everything about the property was amazing. The view was like nothing I have seen before and the town of White Salmon was so quaint. The house was very well-designed and efficient. We were already talking about how we can’t wait to return.

The setting is magnificent - beautiful views from this cantilevered modern guest house. You must be fit enough to negotiate the many steps to get to the house and there is no dishwasher, but the location above the river looking directly at Mt Hood makes up for these factors.

The house was absolutely amazing with a fantastic view. The owners are very nice and accommodating.

It's a little bit of an awkward trek down the stairs to reach the home, but once you're there you immediately are greeted with one of the best views of the gorge you'll ever have while not stepping outside. The space is clean, well appointed, have I mentioned the view yet? We had planned to do a *LOT* of sightseeing while in the area, but ultimately ended up spending two full days just sitting there watching the clouds roll by. Mount Hood? It's there, view down the gorge? Check. Epic sunsets? It's got it. You want wildlife? We counted no less than 8 deer, and a rafter (yes this is the correct term for a gathering) of wild turkeys grazing in the yard... All at the same time. The only things about the stay I wish were different is that there was a comfy loveseat in front of the window with which to snuggle up next to my wife and that the water heater temp was turned up enough that two people could take a comfy relaxing shower back-to-back. Otherwise, this is the best VRBO experience I've had to date and we will definitely be back.
