There were five adults and two small toddlers in our group that stayed at the condo. The wraparound porch was so amazing for my grandkids to play on. The condo was very spacious and had everything we needed. We also appreciated the outdoor umbrellas and chairs that were left from someone else previously. Very easy to communicate with the owners. We had an amazing vacation staying in Kaanapali. It was so nice not having to buckle kids in their car seats to take them to the beach. Kaanapali beach is our favorite. The condo was perfect and next to everything.

Plenty of room for multiple guests or a family, with all the amenities you could want. Nice pool area and fantastic beach location. Conveniently next to the Whaler Village for restaurants and shopping. We had a fabulous time here!

The property is clean and gorgeous. The location next to Whalers village for quick breakfasts and fantastic dinners is great. Black Rock with many fish and the mature reoccurring turtle is close by. The wind did send flip flops flying from the balcony as warned.

This property is a really good value in a wonderful location right on the beach. The building is quiet and the lanais was our favorite. The entire condo is spacious and clean. Linens were sparse and the beds/bedding low quality but not a huge issue. Several beach chairs, snorkel gear, and beach toys available. Very kind host. We would absolutely stay again.

Great location nice room for 8 adults and very well worth the money, snorkeling at black rock and going to whaler’s village is so convenient. I would highly recommend this property for anyone with a large group. 650.00:a night split between 4 couples is cheaper then any place you could ever find in this location on the island

What a great way to get away to kick off 2023. We took all of our kids and parents and had a great time staying in multiple condos. This unit was very clean, spacious and comfortable and great for the family. The maintenance staff was onsite very quickly when we had an issue with the dishwasher and were very polite and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Very spacious. Beds not overly comfortable. Lots of early morning truck noise due to being located right next to Whaler Village. Unusual greeting. We were checking in, the gentleman said we do absolutely nothing for you. We were more than a little surprised to get a 400 plus amenity charge as we were checking out since we had already paid over $1,300 in lodging tax. The amenity charge should have been noted in the listing so we were prepared for it.

I surprised my husband for his 50th birthday with a trip to Maui. I chose this property because of its proximity to his favorite snorkel spot Black rock and walking distance to all wonderful restaurants and shops at Whalers Village. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews but I am so happy to say we loved this property and would definitely rent again! It was a great location and property. Very spacious condo with many amenities. We loved the ice tea served in the lobby as well.

I never left a low review but this time I must. This property ok, the tv’s does not work in either bedroom. This was a big disappointment. Condo kitchen is out dated. The ice maker would not work but finally working two days before we left. Did like the showers, that was a plus. NO WASHER OR DRYER. have to go outside by the elevators to use the washer. Half the pots and pans needs replacing. No pizza pan. For a 4 million dollar condo, would hope it wou;d be better.. condo do book due to cheap prices. You pay for what you get. I own many rental properties myself.

Great location and price was good for the age of the unit !! Could use bathroom and kitchen upgrades .. sinks not draining and kitchen faucet leaking all over counter with microwave handle missing where disappointing !! But loved the corner unit and property!

Aloha, We loved our vacation on the island. Location was the absolute BEST for beach, snorkling, shopping, luau, pool, meals, ABC store and just relaxing. The Whalers staff were so kind. We rented umbrellas the first day but figured it was cheaper to purchase and leave for next guests. So 3 brand new umbrellas for you all to enjoy. Make sure to push them way into sand. We also left a new one serving Kuerig. Note, pour one serving of water into resevoir, put pod in, close lid, when white light comes on press the middle button then just be patient and wait. The machine has to heat up the water, and process before brewing so takes a moment. Apartment is spacious. I wont lie, the hideabed mattress is very uncomfortable/unsleepable. My son chose to just sleep on the couch without the hideabed out. A 2 inch mattress topper would help. Owner let us know that new fridge was being installed ( fridge works well but a shelf is missing), along with carpet replacement and some updating of painting and curtains. All in all, yes unit needs some love but the location, the huge lanai to enjoy morning coffee, cool air conditioning ( doors have to be shut for air to work), the pool, beach and all else made this a wonderful stay. A side note: there isnt a cleaning contract with the Whaler so if you need product, or anything just text Jay. They got back to me right away. Also , bring some laundry soap as you'll need to wash your towels during your stay. You can get it too at ABC store which is super close but spendy. Free washer and dryer a few steps down the hall. When vacationing again in Maui I would 100% look at booking again with Jay. Mahalo and a hui hou- until we meet again. Chelle

This condo is in need of attention. I was concerned before arriving about my interaction with the owner Jay, when I would ask questions about the condo, he seemed short with me, basically if you need something you should just buy it before you get there, instead of just letting me know what he thought might be there. I understand that items breaking and/or disappearing is a possibility. I have stayed in several vrbo properties and have never had this type of interaction or experience before with other owners. The actual condo upon arrival was dirty and there were several boxes of trash in the entrance. The owner was very quick to respond when I let him know how dirty it was and the cleaning company did come back to clean it up but I had already cleaned most of it up myself. The owner also stated he would refund the cleaning fee and we appreciated that. There were 5 of us staying in the condo and there were only 4 towels in the unit. One bathroom had no toilet paper in it and the other had 1. I know this is not a hotel but I expect to be able to arrive and use the bathrooms etc. What a disappointing start to our vacation. The furniture looks very warn down except for the living room couch that looks new but the bed inside the couch was so hard that my son slept on the couch cushions instead of the pull out bed. The refrigerator needs to be replaced immediately. The middle glass shelf is sitting on the bottom of the frig as it doesn't fit or work in the space it was meant for so, you are missing a whole shelf. The top rack in the door, the plastic arm was broken in half and it is unusable. The master bed is so warn that there is deep indentations on each side. If you are planning on renting this condo we found when we got there that on the mountain side of the lanai there were 2 beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, we left several noodles for future guests and there was small ice chest under the entry way cabinets already. Also, just for information the Whaler has beach chairs etc. located by the pool, free of charge for Whaler guests. Overall, for the price of this unit we were was very disappointed.

Everyone at The Whaler was friendly, and being next door to Whalers Village was great when we needed a run to ABC Stores for supplies. We rented umbrellas weekly, and used the complimentary beach chairs every day. No need for beach towels- The Whaler provides them. The pool was great on windy days. We hope to return for a month in 2024! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!!

We had a great time at this location. Very accessible to the beach. We loved the wrap around lanai. Definitely would stay here again.

The property is in a great location. Easy access to the beach, pool,restaurants, and shopping. We were able to snorkel right off our beach, and we even got to swim with a few turtles of the beach. We were able to watch humpback whales too.

We loved our stay at the Whaler! This unit was very spacious, especially the porch. The wrap around porch allows you to see both the ocean and mountains! My family hopes we can go back again soon.

Very large and comfortable with a wrap around Lanai. Partial view of the ocean and great views of the mountains. Easy access to the restaurants and shops at Whalers Village next door. Short walk to Black Rock where there is excellent snorkeling. Gas BBQs right next to the beach, an excellent spot to grill dinner while enjoying a cold beer and watching the spectactular Maui sunsets,

Kaanapali is amazing. The property is amazing. The space that was rented was big. No communication from owner made it difficult but I have been to the property before so that helped fill in some gaps. Condo was not stocked for the week, leftover stuff from the previous week guests, beds were pretty uncomfortable. Go for the location - it is amazing.
