This property is the perfect combination of being in the middle of an active fishing village and also being very peaceful. Activity in the harbor is interesting to watch, but fairly quiet. Easy walk to the town dock area. The house, lawn area and boathouse were fabulous, clean, great views at all times of day. I hope we can come back again next year!

We really enjoyed our stay in Port Clyde with our three kids and our dog. The cottage was wonderfully located and walking distance to kayaking, ice cream, and a couple of dining options. We enjoyed a couple of dog walks to the lighthouse with a stop for fish from the fishermen’s co-op on the way home. The property is well decorated and very pleasant inside.

The place was neat and clean and a great location. We were 3 adults, two teens and a 10-year-old and there was plenty of room. We loved our week there!

The property was spotless when we arrived and the location is fantastic. The waterfront is tidal, so we kayaked +/- 2 hours around high tide. Wonderfully relaxing holiday.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. What a fantastic spot. One small problem was the odor from water heater which was pretty bad. Otherwise I would say perfect.

Overall, a great little property, perfectly decked out in LL Bean attire. We had a great stay, it was the perfect size for two small families, 4 adults, two teens, 1 kid, and 1 baby. The downstairs bedroom was big enough to set up the pack and play, and quiet enough for the baby to sleep, despite all the loud card games going on in the main rooms nearby. The location is as advertised, walking distance to the main restaurants, ice cream, and art galleries. We made daily trips to Squid Ink Coffee, which was wonderful. The beach is walking distance, but it's a long walk, and with a bunch of kids, much easier to drive it. For future renters, I'll note a few things to consider. First, this property is attached to another unit in a bigger house. Ultimately it did not make a difference to us, you cannot tell it has shared walls while you are inside, and you could not hear the other renters. I don't know if they could say the same about us, we had a bigger crew. The lawn and amenities are shared with the other unit. Second, there is a dirt road next to the property, it leads to a commercial fishing/lobster boat company. Traffic on the dirt road during the week starts at 4:45 am, with fisherman racing to get to the boats on time. This woke us up on occasion, particularly the motorcyclist (not every day). People buzz up and down all day, picking up fish, etc. It gets dusty, and if you have little ones running to the playground situated across the dirt road, it can be a little hairy. Third, the playground is a community playground, not on the property. Everything else was as expected. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions, and this property was one of the cleanest we have every stayed in. The town is an absolute delight, and we are already looking to return. Definitely check out the puffin tour, it was super interesting!

Let me begin by saying that I had never been to Maine and after weeks of research I selected this location and property and it was perfect for me and my family. We could walk to several restaurants, walk to the galleries, walk to the general store and the ferry. I wanted a quintessential Maine location minus all the T shirt shops and Dew Drop 3 delivered. The cape has been lovingly restored and cared for. Everything was very neat and clean and I hope to make a return visit.

Our recent June three week stay at Dew Drop 3 was our fourth rental of this of this wonderful house over the past five years. All visits have been 5 star. This year we were pleased to see new LL Bean furniture and decorations in the living room and master bedroom. The sunsets are spectacular! All the lobster you can eat right down the road at the Co-op. Port Clyde is a jewel.

We had a wonderful time at the Dew Drop with no complaints. Every need was met for us in the house. Beautiful views of the harbor and wonderful eats around town! We even made homemade ice cream with the Ice cream ball provided! Thank you... looking forward to our next visit!

We had six people ages 76-11 years old. The home was just that: a home. It was clean, charming, spacious, well appointed, and we didn’t have a want for anything. Everything we wanted was there and included. It did exceed our every expectation. The town of Port Clyde was welcoming and had everything we wanted: food, groceries, rental equipment, lobsters, and people in the neighborhood who welcomed us like old friends. Linda Bean, the owner, has helped invigorate the infrastructure of the area with commerce and rental properties, which makes it a wonderful place for vacationers. Book today. Don’t hesitate. Don’t miss out on this tremendous gem on Maine’s shore.

Everything about Dew Drop III is special from the moment you arrive until you sadly depart. It is pristine, classic, and the sunsets are the topper. Working with Veronika, the manager for the property is the first intro to just how lovely and accommodating your vacation will be, she is a delight and goes out of her way to have the properties in first rate condition on your arrival. I would definitely recommend any of the properties of Linda Beans Vacation Rentals. I will be returning again and again summers to Dew Drop III, my home away in Maine.

Our family enjoyed a lovely late August week here. Location was ideal with walking distance to everything. Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

Our family felt right at home in this lovely house. The views were fantastic throughout the day...but watching the sun rise and set over the harbor were our favorite time of day.

This picturesque house is just down the street from the yummy ice cream store and village shop/restaurant. We enjoyed the view from the balcony in the mornings. The only thing that would be helpful would be to have some beach towels and portable beach chairs for trips to the beach, but all in all, it was great. Thanks for letting us enjoy Port Clyde!

First class property in a beautiful slice of the world. Port Clyde is located at the end of the road of a really charming bit of Maine. The house was well set up and had everything one would expect in a HomeAway property.
