This clean and well maintained in a gated community villa is right on the beach, and less than a 10 minute walk to nearby 5th avenue which is full of every kind of shop and restaurant/bar. The manager, Martina, was very pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable about the area, and very helpful with requests. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place and location. No direct access to beach, short walk around neighbors house. Not much of a beach, hardly any sand and they have a HUGE seaweed problem. It's everywhere. It's ugly and stinks. Only issue with the house itself is no means to make ice. Arrived to one empty 6 cube ice tray in freezer, no ice machine. After traveling all day, had to walk 10 mins and carry ice back to have a drink. To me, a place like this should have a means to make ice, a $50 a night motel has an ice machine. That all said, it is a nice spot and we did have a great time.

The home is absolutely stunning. There are ocean views from almost every room. The house is literally on the beach. The beach is active and fun, but not overcrowded. It's a short enjoyable walk to the downtown area. We stayed with young kids (1 and 4) and had a blast. Martina is extremely helpful and professional. This is a very high quality home and well stocked. We would love to stay here again!

Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Right on the beach and an easy walk to downtown and the ferry. Plenty of room for my family of 6. Beautiful house. Great help and host. Martina was great about helping with diving and a cooking class. Would return!

What a fantastic property in Playacar! Martina was a great host and very communicative. If we needed anything or had questions she was very available. The house was kept very clean by the housekeeper. Great location with easy access to PDC. We would most definitely stay here again.

My husband booked this villa for my birthday with our closest friends and family. The host Martina made this an unbelievable experience. Extremely responsive to all of my questions. She’s was a pleasure to work with. Oura who was our housekeeper was amazing. Every single day she made the villa beautiful and clean for us and went above and beyond with anything we needed. This house is well taken care of.

Absolutely lovely place! The main living area has beautiful views of the beach, Caribbean waters and pool. The kitchen has everything we need to cook. They creatively hooked up the ice maker to filtered water so the ice is safe to use. The washing machine and dryer are locked up in a storage room off the kitchen so we didn’t have access to do our own laundry. I thought this would be a problem for us but a sweet, accommodating cleaning lady came every day at a time convenient for us and did our laundry as well as make the beds, clean the floors, etc. I’ve never had cleaning service before and thought it would interrupt our family’s flow and time together but it was in fact, wonderful and freeing! We will be back to rent this house!

Had an amazing stay at villa el dorado. Me and my gfs felt safe here. The private chefs that Martina referred us to were EXCELLENT!! All the food was so yummy and we had lots left over so it was a great value for the price! Place was clean and exactly as described. Would stay here again!

The house is stunning and looks exactly like the pictures. The neighborhood was also beautiful and very secure. It was a short walk to town with tons of shopping and restaurants and bars to choose from. The ferry to Cozumel was a short 5 minute walk down the beach so it was very convenient. The address to the property was very confusing so be sure to touch base with Martina for specific directions. We were a group of 8 ladies and there was plenty of room for us and multiple options for dinning with nice indoor and outdoor tables. And special thanks to our housekeeper as she was amazing!! We would definitely stay here again.

This house is clean and well-kept. It is a great location, walking distance to anything you need. The beach is nice and easy to access, although there was a good bit of seaweed at times. We actually rented beach chairs and umbrellas but did not need them because we were so close to the water. Sitting in the lounge chairs by the pool with the umbrellas is really like being on the beach (but cleaner!) Workers came to clear some of the seaweed away but just depends upon the ocean at the time of course. There is a lovely park with ruins around the corner where we took pictures. You can access all the shops and restaurants of 5th Avenue right at the entrance of the neighborhood. We enjoyed walking and shopping. Security in the neighborhood was good and we felt safe at all times. We had Uxata chef services every day for breakfast or brunch and some dinners. It was scrumptious and they make a generous amount of delicious food. We had plenty of leftovers for lunch or snacks besides all of the groceries they brought us. We only ate out a few times and agreed that the chefs made us better meals than anything we had at the restaurants. We had Carlos the bartender from Uxata a few days and we loved having him! We had massages at the house which were great and very convenient. The house is definitely as pictured and had the right amount of space for two families of four. We also got a catamaran one day from Riviera Elite which Martina recommended and had a great time. Thank you Martina and staff for a great place to enjoy a fabulous vacation!

We loved our stay at Playacar. The property is on a dead end street not far from the entrance of Playacar fase 1. It is a 10/15 min walk into the heart of playa del Carmen. The house is great it is well kept up and attractive. The pool is on the small side, but is perfectly suitable for beating the heat on a hot day. The 4 bed rooms all feature en suite bathrooms. They are equally sized which makes it easy to divy up if staying with a group. The house is located on the beach with a six foot high wall/deck separating it from the sand. The beach is nice. When we went it was busyish. A group or two was hanging out in the space outside our house and 5 or 6 at the public beach entrance, a house away. While it certainly isn’t private (no beach in Mexico is) it was pleasant and felt safe. To get to the beach from the house you need to walk just around the house next door. Finally Martina and all the staff of the house and additional services that were recommended were wonderful. Martina was responsive and flexible. She gave lots of great recommendations- most notably Uxata chef services (can’t recommend highly enough!!). House staff was great. They kept the place in top shape daily, always going above and beyond. We hope to come back!!

We walked to Playa del Carmen daily. The area around the Villa is secure and in a gated community. There is security guards monitoring the area at all times. Our cleaning lady did an amazing job. She came daily. Martina who is in charge of the property is amazing. She helped set up or transportation to and from the airport, to and from XPlor and our boat tour. She also set up our COVID testing for us at the villa. I would highly recommend this property and any other properties that Martina handles.

Overall a good experience and worked with our group due to weather in Dallas as we lost a day and they accommodated us free of charge (an extra day). BUT DON'T add Damage Protection Plan to your trip as our Property Manager didn't work with us, TOTALLY waste of MONEY!! VRBO please call me regarding this matter. Thanks.

This was one of the best vacation experiences — the photos are accurate and yet somehow, do not do the house or its location. Martina is the best host and helped coordinated all of our needs. We had a wonderful time at Villa El Dorado. The house was wonderful and Martina did everything to make sure our stay was memorable. We utilized Chef Paula to help with our shopping and the meals she and her staff prepared were great.
