What wonderful preservation of Australian Heritage - This 1870 cottage has been meticulously renovated and restored. So comfortable - easy stroll to local parks and shops. Perfect for that short get away.

Charming Retreat for a Relaxing Getaway
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this holiday house and can confidently say it exceeded all expectations.
The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bedrooms are well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances. Situated in a tranquil setting, it's conveniently located near shops, cafes, and restaurants offering a perfect balance between seclusion and accessibility.

A wonderful little cottage with all the comforts of home. So close to shops, cafes and restaurants of Milton and to Mollymook beach. Dog friendly with great yard for your furry friend to roam. Thanks Jan for hosting us, we had a very relaxing, comfortable stay.

This historic cottage is adorable and comfortable, and retains some original features as well as a pictorial history of its restoration. It has a lovely veranda and outdoor space but I was delighted to find it also backs onto the village green, which is a beautiful and quiet green space for families to picnic or simply sit and enjoy the surrounds. It also provides access to the main street with its boutique stores, cafes and IGA which has an awesome little deli within it. Also highly recommend Pilgrims Cafe! I rate my stay 10 out of 10, and my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Jan clearly wants her guests to enjoy their stay and I rate her 10 out of 10 too!

Donovan’s Cottage is a lovely place to stay, so convenient to the local shops and cafes. We were highly impressed with the cleanliness of the property and it was comfortably secure for our dog. The local birdsong was a bonus.
Great location and short drive to choice of beaches. Milton was a lovely destination for our mini break and we’re keen to return sometime.

We so enjoyed our stay in Donovan's cottage in the centre of Milton. This 1850's cottage has been charmingly and sympatheticly renovated and well stocked with all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Jan has ensured that four legged family members are well catered for too with secured front and back verandahs with a great secured garden. The village green gardens beyond the rear of the property were an added bonus. We highly recommend this outstanding property.

I loved everything about this cottage, it was perfect for my friend and our dogs! We loved the handy location, the bath was divine and the dogs loved the backyard. Jan was great, very easy to communicate with and we will definitely be back again.

My partner and I had an amazing two nights at the cottage. The house was immaculately designed and furnished and the entire place was spotlessly clean. We had our pup stay with us as well and the shops are just outside the door. We’ll be back to stay again!

This was a wonderful place to stay for our family. The cottage has abundant old world charm and comfort, everything was lovely: the bedding, the warmth of the fire place and the most gorgeous country side views.

Excellent house to stay in. Access in the driveway could be improved. It was overgrown on one side making it difficult to drive along without scratching the sides of the car.

Donovan's cottage is centrally located in Milton, close to restaurants, shops etc. It can be quite busy. Communication with the owner is first rate. The cottage is well set up for 2 -4 people, quite a heritage feel with modern conveniences. Close to beaches too. Loved the outdoor shower.

We loved how carefully this historic cottage has been renovated to make it modern and comfortable while preserving its authentic historic character. A Gem of a Cottage
Situated in a beautiful part of the world, Donovans Cottage is a quaint gem perfectly positioned just a stone’s throw from the town centre of Milton.
A vast view of rolling hills from the veranda, and a decor that is so in tune with the period of its origins, it truly is a gorgeous place to stay.

Pleasantly surprised with the very quaint cottage. Nice enclosed garden for our greyhound. Beds very comfortable with lovely white bedding.

We had a lovely getaway in Milton, with this cottage having everything we needed and more. The fenced back yard and verandahs make it a perfect pet-friendly property and the quality of the kitchen and laundry was a lovely surprise.

Great Holiday stay with puppy
Very central and spacious property. Poppy loved the enclosed back yard to play in. It was a very short walk to the town and a short drive to nearby beaches. Very prompt replies from Jan whenever we communicated with her.which was very much appreciated.

Country views, town living
From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this beautifully renovated 1870 cottage. It had everything we needed and more. Just metres from Milton's main street we could pop up to grab coffee or a meal. Back at the cottage we enjoyed sitting on the front verandah for morning tea. Our dog adored the backyard and was super safe thanks to the fabulous fencing surrounding the house and yard. Everything was immaculately clean and in perfect order. We can't wait to come back to Donovan's Cottage.

Beautiful cottage, perfect location
We had a wonderful 5 night stay in Jan's cottage in Milton. The house and views are lovely and perfectly located to explore the area. There are many excellent cafes and the IGA a matter of minutes away. The beds are comfortable with beautiful linen and we enjoyed the cosy lounge and fireplace in the evenings. Highly recommended and we hope to stay again.
