I loves this 2 bedroom suite. It was cozy, had a little kitchen space (sink, fridge, microwave) and dining/sitting area. It was located right behind the San Juan Brewery and is only a 5 minute walk to the ferry dock.

A large choice of eateries and pubs within a short 5 to 10 minute walk. The house was our base of operations during a three day motorcycle exploration of the San Juan Islands. Suggested improvements: bathroom fab noisy and ineffective, quits after running for five minutes. Replace the fan. Water is a "precious commodity," yet it take 3.5 minutes of running the hot water tap to get the water warm, let alone hot. Insulate the pipes. Finally, pick up some used books and leave them lying around. It adds to the ambience of the old comfy home, and gives people something to read while waiting for the slow person to take their shower.

Bedrooms were nice. Front room was a little quirky and tight. Banquet was not that comfortable. TV was size off a computer monitor! Kitchenet was lacking a toaster/toaster oven and counter space. Location was great, close to downtown Friday Harbor. I would still come back to this location.

Rooms are nice and comfortable. One room needed black out curtains to block out the light. The kitchenette is really not for preparing any food, too tiny. Location is great, easy to walk to town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, based on both the house and its excellent location and walking access to so much of Friday Harbor. The space has historic interest, and is also well-organized, clean and with all the amenities. We would definitely stay again.

Great location, very short walk to the harbor and restaurants. We enjoyed the 2 nice sized bedrooms, sitting room, little kitchenette w coffee pot and microwave and bathroom with all the needed amenities. No noise from other guests in other suites, completely seamless online check-in and check out were also a bonus! Would definitely stay here again! Plenty of parking for our rental car which we definitely would recommend to drive to all the gorgeous parks and beaches on the island.

If you just need a place to sleep in a downtown location this is your place. Location is great and walkable to harbor and town. But a big disappointment in the kitchen having only a microwave & mini fridge, not even a toaster or containers to facilitate microwave cooking. For 4 people there’s no gathering area to relax or watch tv together, nor do the bedrooms have any tvs. The bathroom door doesn’t lock or even latch solidly, so uncomfortable wondering if my in-laws might walk in on me. We were excited to stay in a historic home, but the furnishings and decor didn’t make sense, completely missing an opportunity for a period home.

Home was walking distance to town, guest parking was safe and easy, decor was historic and delightful, clean and comfortable accommodations. Great stay!

We loved this house! Great communication with the owner. So nice to have super easy directions to get to the house. We thought it was even better than the pictures! So nice and quiet at night. Beautiful front porch to start the day on. Walking to town was a breeze. COMFORTABLE beds. Everything we needed to feel at home.

Cozy house in a good location: near the ferry, parks, shops. Instructions was detailed and understandable. Two details can improve the experience, for example: 1) make it so that the bathroom door can be closed; 2) add a small electric stove, some salt and sugar to the kitchen.

This was such a cute little place to stay while in Friday harbor. Right in town so you could walk everywhere.

Blocks from the ferry, close to restaurants and coffee shops. The room was a bit too cold even with heaters but it did have enough blankets to keep us warm. Internet was a bit slow but it’s possible it was due to the high winds (early March).

All of the best spots in town are within walking distance! The house itself is beautiful with lots of classic details you can only find in historic properties: dark wood, gorgeous molding, stained glass accents, tiled shower, copper lined sink, high ceilings, relaxing & spacious front porch. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here if we visit Friday Harbor again (which we'd love to!). Thank you!

This property is in walking distance to all shops, restaurants and harbor. The rooms were cozy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation is comfy chairs on the porch for reading and enjoying your wine or morning coffee.

The window situation bothered me a bit. Only a few windows actually opened, and the ones that did would not stay, had to prop them open with something.

The Acanthus Farmer suite is well set up with two bedrooms, a small kitchenette, and general room. The weather was warm while we were there, so we appreciated the fans in the unit. We did have some issues keeping the windows open for the fans to pull air, but managed to work around it. The beds were quite comfortable. The Acanthus Suites are in an excellent location. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and sights in Friday Harbor easily. The car was only used when we left Friday Harbor. The big front porch on the Acanthus Suites, was a big hit in the mornings and evenings.

Our family was there only two nights, but it was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do. Easy to park and access. Enjoyed our stay.

Convenient to walk around Port Friday

The house was very clean It came with a mini fridge a toaster microwave and a coffee pot with filters. The bathroom had a shampoo conditioner and body wash Despencer in the shower and of curse the towels and wash rages sheets were clean

The bathroom is large, and the kitchenette is perfect for a weekend. There is a little dining room with a few chairs. My only suggestion is to have a small love seat in the dining room for hanging out on cold evenings. We loved sitting in the yard and on the porch when it was warm enough though!
