Nice place, loved the food and beaches

Simply perfect! Everything we had hoped and more. The property left nothing to be desired and our hosts were amazing. Always available when we needed them but gave us space and privacy. It was an island home away from home. Great location, clean, well stocked with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. An absolute must return for us.

I highly recommend this property. It’s beautiful and The studio apt is such a bonus! This property comes equipped with everything u can imagine, Beach, towels, beach chairs, tubes/floaties for the pool, sunblock, first aid kit, A stocked bar!!!!! U name it, it’s there. The view was like waking up to your private paradise. The bed was something I worried about because we have sleep number beds at home, but to my surprise it was MOST comfortable!!! The host and hostess stay on the property but are not intruding at all, and u don’t even know they’re there. Was nice to know they were available for any concerns we May have had but we had none. Just one recommendation, It would’ve been nice to have a screen door or bug screen at the entrance sliding door to be able keep it open and turn off the air to enjoy the cool breeze, because the breeze off the ocean is truly refreshing! 10/10 for this property

The description of "beauty, comfort, value" could not be more accurate. Gail and Curlson were incredible hosts and could not be more polite, accommodating, or hospitable. All of the pictures and descriptions of the property are very accurate. The view from the home is incredible! The hot tub and pool are perfect for a group of 4-6. The only thing I would preface is that there are a lot of roosters and chickens on the property- be prepared for morning wake up calls and evening commotion as they roost in the trees. The property is also well located to most points of interest and is very close to the ferry terminal making it easy to get over to St. Johns for the day. Overall an incredible stay and we cannot wait to go back!

Where to begin...First, I want to say that the views to wake up to at this villa were spectacular. It was beautiful at any time of day, really. We enjoyed the accommodations, from the pool to the hot tub, to the master bedroom and separate bedroom down the stairs. The villa is impeccably maintained, with all new appliances, and well stocked. Probably the best part of this villa are the hosts, Gail and Curlton. You will never feel like a stranger in St. Thomas because of their gracious hospitality, and wealth of resources provided to you in advance, so you can plan out your trip. We felt like we were home and would gladly return again!

If you ever plan on taking a trip to St Thomas, it is a MUST that you book this beautiful home tucked in the hills! My family and I had an absolute wonderful time staying here! Gail and her husband Curlson were thee absolute best!! From booking to checking in to checking out, Gail made the process so easy and hassle free. And when she says to pack light, you don't need much... she means it! The house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. We're already planning on returning next year. Great place to stay! Gail was wonderful, provided excellent knowledge of the island, and was very accommodating. The view from the patio is awesome! I could have spent each day just hanging out there and been at peace. The location is nice if you do not enjoy the crowded resort feel, and don't mind traveling a bit to locations you wish to swim and dine. Their home was perfect for my type of vacation. Next time Gail and Curlson will need to party with us. I look forward to when we meet again! 🙂

This property has everything you need to have a wonderful stay on Saint Thomas! From the great views to the nice pool and spa to a full kitchen space and comfortable beds...what more could we ask for?! Our hospitality was splendid and our hosts were more then willing to help us out with anything needed. The home is located high up on the hill and getting a cab proved difficult at times but with the right driver everything can be accomplished! Huge thank-you to the Ferraria's for the wonderful space!

Reserving on VRBO was easy, communication with owners good from the beginning. GPS wasn't up to finding address, Curlson sent us a pin to track with Google maps. Curlson was even willing to drive to us and lead us there if needed, but we found it easy with Google maps. (Be ready for some tight roads and steep inclines though.) 4x4 is a good idea, but not necessary. What is necessary is a rental car with ground clearance. The property was as advertised and we very much enjoyed our stay. Great views, close to ferry and Red Hook (Marina, shops, restaurants.) Although you can get anywhere on the island in 30 minutes. Bed in main house very comfortable, ceiling fans and AC window units keep everything comfortable. Kitchen is well outfitted, except no dishwasher. I counted hanging out at the house, sitting on the patio looking at the view, and lounging in the hot tub just as good as doing touristy things! Owners were on the upper level, but I hardly ever heard anything. (Except the chickens.) And the sun comes up on this place, so a great property for early risers. I hugely enjoyed watching the sun rise while sipping my coffee. There's coffee and spices in the cabinets, and the public liquor cabinet was awesome. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a fantastic stay! I could have spent my entire vacation just sitting on the patio enjoying the breathtaking views and breezes, but we also loved how close we were to beaches and Red Hook. The amount of space was perfect for our multi-generational group of 5. As others have said, the owners have really thought of everything you might need for a comfortable stay. They even had some small Tupperware, which seems so obviously useful, but which I’ve never seen in any other rental I’ve stayed in. A couple of things to know that might not be obvious from the listing: there are some roosters roaming around nearby, which didn’t really detract from our enjoyment of the property, but which did wake us up at odd hours if we didn’t have the A/C running or ear plugs. Also, the driveway is short, but very steep, and may be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues (my mom suffered a foot injury shortly before our trip and it was do-able but challenging). That being said, it’s a beautiful property, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

It was a little difficult to find the property, but hosts were very accommodating and helpful when we arrived. They were always available to answer questions and presented us with many options of places to go, and things to do. Very kind and easy to work with. It was a very nice and relaxing vacation.

It was easy

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the homey, comfortable feel of Ocean kaleidoscope. The view of St John and the BVI from the deck was spectacular. It was easy to relax and enjoy our time there. Gail made everything easy from getting there to getting settled. She also provided us with a great deal of local knowledge to help us enjoy our stay even more. The facilities were spotless and showed pride of ownership.

Our family had the most wonderful week in Paradise! The pictures of this home do it no justice. We felt right at home. Every morning was enjoyed with a cup of coffee and the most beautiful view. We spent most days out and about, but we were grateful to come home to a nice patio, pool and hot tub-perfect! Literal minutes away from every beach we wanted to go to. Also minutes from downtown Red Hook. One recommendation would be that if you plan to dine out in town or at any restaurant- make a reservation ahead of time on Open Table. Best advice we got from a local! Gail and Curl were the best hosts! Available at all times and really easy to communicate with. We were in St Thomas for NYE and Gail shared with us the best place to celebrate that evening! We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed the view. Great location

This was the best private rental that I've ever stayed at. We traveled with a party of 5, including my 6 year old son. First, the hosts, Gail and Curlson, were amazing. Gail has put together so much information to make your stay easy and enjoyable. They were always just a text away for anything we needed. When we arrived, Gail asked us to make ourselves at home and to drop the idea that we were a burden. She told us that our kid was allowed to be a kid and make some noise, and that we should feel free to play music and enjoy ourselves. Everything about the property was great. The photos do not do it justice. I wish I could spend every morning having coffee on Gail and Curlson's deck. Also - they've got EVERYTHING you need. Bug spray, booze (an honor bar), coolers and beach chairs. Super close to town (Red Hook), the ferry to St. John, and plenty of great beaches. If you are staying on St. Thomas, this is the place to stay. Thanks Gail and Curlson for making our vacation a great one!

We had the best time in VI. The house was very nice. The owners were friendly and helpful. They helped us out with transportation for a great price. We would definitely visit again and stay there.

Celebrating our 33rd anniversary and wanted to go and stay somewhere nice but that wouldn't break the bank! We picked this location and crossed our fingers, hoping it truly looked as great as it did in the pictures. To our surprise, it was even better and the view is simply to die for!! We loved everything about this property -- the location, the pool, the space to spread out for three generations traveling together, the gracious & responsive hosts, and the breathtaking view.

The house was very clean, and comfortable with breathtaking views. Hot tub, dipping pool, beach towels & chairs, great kitchen. All the comforts of home in paradise. It felt luxurious and convenient on the east end. looking forward to going back someday.

From the minute we arrived, we knew we had chosen the perfect oasis. We rented the garden cottage as well as the house. The homeowner, Gloria, is fantastic! She was honest, helpful and so kind. She gave us great advice for site seeing and was available for questions. I highly recommend.

This was the perfect place for my family of 5 to stay. My husband and two kids stayed on the main floor while my mother-in-law had her own stay in the area below. Gail was so helpful, she answered all my questions promptly and I had many. The place had everything you need for a beach vacation, we were able to use the beach towels, chairs, and cooler which all came in handy. We went to less crowded beaches that we didn't have to pay for and didn't have sources for those amenities. Breakfast on the patio was always great with beautiful views and a nice breeze. I would only say that the construction nearby and the roosters were a slight annoyance especially those mornings you would like to sleep in a bit. One morning the construction started a little past 7 am. However, it wouldn't deter me from booking with Gail again. This is the place to stay!!

Our vacation to St. Thomas was an amazing experience and that is, in no small part, thanks to Gail and Curlson for being such kind, welcoming, and accommodating hosts. We had to reschedule our trip to St. Thomas several times over 2-years and each time, Gail did so with compete patience and understanding. The house was emaculent, well equipped for anything we needed plus extra, and the views are amazing. Morning coffee overlooking the Caribbean would have been enough for us but the very short drive to the beach, friendly locals, and delicious local cuisine just kept impressing us again and again each day. This was our first trip to St. Thomas but will not be our last, we very much look forward to seeing Gail and Curlson again soon! -The Seal Family

Gail and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful hosts. The house is stocked with everything you will need, beach towels, chairs, sunscreen, hairspray, big spray, pots & pans, cups & plates, even a “honor” bar stocked with liquor. Gail greeted us when we arrived and gave us a rundown of the rules (all common sense and easy to follow) then she left us to enjoy it. She was very responsive and was always available if anything went wrong. The driveway is a little steep, so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues, but my mom did and we were able to help her navigate it without much issue. The location is great, with all the good red hook food places and a grocery store less than 5 minutes away. The airport was about a 20- 30 min drive, so easy to get to as well. The hot tub and pool were amazing and we spent several days just hanging at the house. I would def stay with Gail again at Ocean Kaleidoscope! Thanks so much for making my 30th birthday perfect!!!

From start to finish this experience was flawless. Gail answered all our questions and we had a lot of them! She offered a shopping service and when we got there all groceries were put away. The view once you unlock the door was simply something you don't see that often. The property was very clean. Gail and Curlson made sure everything was stocked for us. The pool and the hot tub was so important to us and it surely didn't disappoint. I would stay here again and again and again. If you are browsing............ BOOK NOW. You will not be let down.

I did extensive research before booking this perfect property for our vacation. You don’t need to do that, this is the one! Its perfect for any age group. We rented it with another couple for our COVID style vacation but they unfortunately had to back out. This house has everything we needed to just stay in, and was close enough to everything when we wanted to go out. The view is amazing, the photos just can’t compare to seeing it in person. We used Amalie car rental and that was the easiest car rental I’ve ever had. They are a good local company and there are no hidden fees. Gail was a perfect hostess and very communicative. Seriously, save yourself some time and book it already!!

Gail and Curlson were the best host ever so sweet and prepared along with being so helpful with all! The villa was amazing the pictures do not do it justice! The view was a million dollars. The location on the island was perfect! We will be back!

Talk about ambience and views!! When you walk through the door into the outside space you're hit with that gorgeous view and a fantastic ambience. The owners put great detail and care into creating a relaxing and comfortable space for their guests. From the warm decor, the well placed plants and greenery, the string lighting outside in the evenings, the well stocked kitchen and closets - this place is it!! Not to mention the liquor honor bar which was a definite PLUS! My new husband and I chose this villa to kick off our wedding/honeymoon stay in St. Thomas and we honestly could not have chosen a better place! We enjoyed daily use of the pool and after a day of activities we loved relaxing in the jacuzzi and looking at the stars. It was great having breakfast and drinking coffee in the morning while on the deck and looking at the ocean. Also, the location could not have been better as we were within a10 minutes drive to several beaches and close to red hook. Even with all the great amenities this property has to offer, what will stand out most about your stay are the amazing hosts! Gail and Curlson are so warm and welcoming and quick to respond to any inquiries (ex. providing suggestions for restaurants, activities on the island, transportation needs etc.). They really did an amazing job at making us feel at home and accommodating our needs during our stay. Our wedding/honeymoon experience was a delightful and memorable one thanks to the hosts and we will certainly be back. If you are thinking of booking this villa just go for it! You will not regret it!

This property is what every VRBO experience should be. Nothing unexpected, attentive owners, spotlessly clean and best of all, a real, functional kitchen with everything needed to fix gourmet meals to simple snacks. The pantry is well stocked with oils, spices and condiments so all one has to do is to stop at Moe's Super for meat, fish, veggies and whatever else you care to prepare knowing that the basics are already on hand. Very attentive owners who want you to have the best experience possible. They're real pros who have been in this business for many, many years and understand what people want. View out over the ocean with many islands is just amazingly beautiful and we never tired of it. Several beaches are a very short drive as id the car ferry to St John. A car is a necessity so you'll be able to take advantage of all St Thomas has to offer. We rate this as our best VRBO EXPERIENCE EVER!

We stayed here with our adult son and grandson who live on island. The separation of the living quarters made for a very comfortable time. The kitchen was as well equipped as any we have ever encountered in a rental. Great outdoor space and plants! Gail is a good communicator and host.
