What a beautiful home and wonderful experience. We have been wanting to spend a few nights up along the North Shore, and (other than the mosquitoes we encountered, which were no joke!) we were not disappointed. The lodge was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook some of our meals at the lodge. If there was anything at all we needed, Jo was so helpful and very quick to respond. We also appreciate how close we were to so many of the attractions in the area. (Not to mention the North Shore Winery which was literally right around the corner!) Jo suggested driving up to the Canadian border to see the High Falls in Grand Portage. Breathtaking! I highly recommend taking the relatively short drive up there. What made it even more beautiful this time of year were the lupines which were in full bloom! If we plan another vacation up north we will definitely want to stay in the lodge again.

Cabin was great location to skii hill, winery etc. kitchen well stocked, property owner very responsive, comfortable sleeping arrangements.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Jo and Bob's property. Always clean, welcoming, and has everything we need. Instructions are clear and perfect space for playing games. Location can't be beat for skiing and adventuring to the cidery/winery

Jo was a great hostess and the property was great. Weather caused some travel difficulties for us and communications with Jo were perfect, she was able to allow some flexibility in check-in to help our trip be successful which was unexpected and hugely appreciated. We'll seek out this and other priorities of theirs in future Northern Minnesota adventures. Property at Lutsen was in very good shape and in an awesome location just a few minutes from the ski hill and across the road from the winery which made for a fun visit as well.

Perfect size for five adults! Had everything we needed, just as advertised! We will be back!

We loved staying at this cabin. However, it could've been cleaner and the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are so unorganized and messy that we had to dig around to find things we needed. Also, the kitchen towels and washcloths smell like mildew, and the potholders are dirty and grimey. The kitchen garbage can needs to be washed out too. Some curtains or blinds to cover the glass on the front and back doors would be nice. All in all, this cabin was very cozy, and we enjoyed our selves. But...I think the cleaning company needs to clean a lot better than they are!

We totally enjoyed staying here. Cabin was as shown. Had everything we needed! Jo was on top of all communication. Never had any questions as to what we needed to do. The area is just beautiful with lots of hiking and things to do. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second year in a row staying at Jo's property and it was, once again, lovely! The property is exactly as described and is the perfect jumping off point for exploring the North Shore. My sister and I, along with her 3 little ones make an annual trip to the north shore and this year we booked this wonderful home. Without a doubt, this was the best place we have stayed in our many years visiting! The location is perfect for heading anywhere along the north shore and it is literally STEPS from a winery! The house itself is both spacious and cozy! The back porches are so great - if the bugs are bad you can enjoy the screened porch, or sit on the open one and enjoy coffee in the morning. The kitchen has everything you will need for cooking (excluding food and spices obviously;)). Jo was extremely clear in communications and check in and out was simple. I hope this place becomes our regular spot for years to come!

We had a great stay. The place was immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed, and they left very helpful instructions. Our favorite feature was the screen porch! Super easy check in and out. We would stay here again.

Having stayed in this unit with friends for a ski getaway I was confident we would enjoy our summer get away as well. It was so nice to have our kayaks and trailer locked up in the garage when not in use so the empty garage was a huge plus. The cabin amenities were great, wi-fi was flawless for getting work done before heading out for the day, overall we were very happy and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We loved our stay! Very clean, all the amenities that make it feel like home, and good communication prior to our stay. Lots of family friendly games and my kids enjoyed the dinosaur DVD. Most of all, we enjoyed being close to nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, and the lake. Cascade Restaurant was delicious.

So wonderful, we hope to return! A fabulous cozy (yet spacious for 6) retreat near all the great stuff Lutsen has to offer! Walking distance from the adorable winery 😊.

Jo was very good at correspondence and answering any questions. She has meticulous and detailed instructions for having a comfortable, care-free stay at the cabin. The kitchen is very well-stocked for any of your cooking needs. There are lots of extra linens and blankets and the cabin is very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This home provided great accommodations for our 6 adult family and one toddler, offering plenty of space to spread out. The location was also situated close to fun destinations like the Lutsen Resort, Grand Marais, and other State Parks along the North Shore.

Management at the property was accurate and precise in their details and very accommodating. Property is secluded but near several attractions and places of interest. Family of 4 plus 2 grandparents the cabin was just the right size. We had a really nice stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Owners were very helpful when needing to reschedule. A++

This place was perfect for my family of 4 + 2 grandparents for a long cross-country ski weekend. Plenty of space for everyone, well-appointed kitchen, very convenient location. Would definitely return.

Absolutely fabulous!!!!

Spent the weekend snowboarding and the house is very close, just at the bottom of the ski hill. We got lucky and had great weather and everyone had a great time on the slopes. Cabin worked perfectly for our family and was just as described. We accidentally left behind a piece of ski equipment and Jo was great at communicating and able to get it returned! Thanks for the great stay and hospitality!

Lodge Lane was an amazing location with everything you need! All the items you need to cook are in the kitchen. Each bedroom is outfitted with all the comforts you need. Would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone.

Really nice, clean and cute. Had everything you’d expect at a VRBO. Great communication with property manager/owner. Easy & quick drive to skiing.

We stayed at this wonderful 3 bedroom cabin for a long weekend to see some fall foliage. It was just a short drive for groceries, the gondola, and restaurants. Even better, you couldn't have a closer walk to North Shore Winery than this very cabin! Nicely decorated and convenient for the 5 of us. Thank you for the memories!
