This property was very spacious and well-equipped. We had hours of fun in the water and on the sand, and we especially enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboards. We ate most of our meals on the deck with the beautiful lake view. The foosball table was a nice bonus for the kids in the evenings. We had a great stay and would love to return!

The Flying Fish was a great find on Intermediate Lake. Angela was quick to respond and very helpful. Great location on lake, and loved the view. Cottage /house was very clean and everything stated on site. Enjoyed kayaks, corn hole, fooseball, fire pit and deck along with everything else available! Would stay again!

100/100. We absolutely love this home and will book again in the future. Not one item or need not covered at this home. It is perfect!! We had a mixed group of family and everyone loved it. We played board games every night and cooked and ate together. We made memories. The hosts are WONDERFUL and kind and helpful. I highly recommend them.

The flying fish exceeded our expectations over and above! My family had a great time! We skied, tubed, went fishing, went Kayaking had sunset boat rides and had a fire every night. Angela was easy to communicate with and answered any questions that we had. Would highly recommend this place. We are hoping to come back next year!

We just stayed for 2 days, visiting our parents but it was a great house. Very spacious, lots of beds for all of our kids. The owner responded and communicated quickly, if I had a question. The house was clean, well stocked and perfect for our quiet weekend.

Perfect spot. Super close to Bellaire, skiing, etc. We love it here.

This house was perfect! Clean, well furnished, and provided us with a great location to explore the area. Loved that it had everything we needed, and more. Owls and elk serenaded us to sleep every night in our cozy bedrooms. Lots of natural light and a great layout. Highly recommend this house- we will definitely be back, we have so much more to explore in the area!

This house is perfect! The location is beautiful! We loved the way it is laid out with the basement having additional bedrooms and plenty of space for the kids to hang out!

This home accommodated our 3 generation family very well. We had rain 2 1/2 days but there were games and things to do that kept all of us busy. The town, Central Lake was close and we enjoyed the stores and Fudgees for ice cream. Thank you Angela, you were a great host.

Wow! This place was wonderful for our family. It had everything we needed and much more than promised. It was so easy to settle right in and have a great time! There were no disappointments at all.

The Flying Fish was the perfect place for a family vacation! Our week stay was everything we hoped it would be! Our family included 6 adults and five children ranging in age from 9 years old to 10 months. Sound daunting? The Flying Fish accommodated us beautifully with plenty of space for us all. It’s evident that a lot of thought went into outfitting this home. It was very nicely & comfortably furnished, had lots of fun decorative touches, was clean throughout and had many wonderful amenities. The entertainment area in the lower level provided great options for rainy days with cable, XBox 360 and Wii, as well as a nice selection of DVDs. Importantly, the beds were all very comfortable! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. (The two refrigerators were especially helpful!) There was ample seating at meal times, both indoors and out. The provision of a pack & play, bed rails, & a booster seat were all much appreciated as well. And…everything was in good working condition! Unlike some previous experiences we’ve had, I can’t think of a thing we needed that wasn’t provided. The lake and beach were perfect, especially for our little ones. The children loved fishing off the end of the dock, as well as having “jumping contests” into the lake and building in the sand. There was plenty of beach chairs, beach toys for the kids, plus paddle boards and two 2-person kayaks. Had the kids had their way, we would have never left the beach! But they also enjoyed browsing through “Bachmanns” in Central Lake, gathering Petoskey stones in Lake Michigan and picking 9 pounds of cherries at King’s Orchard in a record-breaking 7 minutes! Top of MY list? Playing with our grandkids, sitting on the deck enjoying coffee in the morning and beautiful sunsets over the lake at dusk, and most of all, having a wonderful place to make fresh memories with the people I love best! Thank you, Angela, for sharing your little piece of heaven with us! The Flying Fish is definitely on our list for a return visit!

The Flying Fish combines great accommodations with a great location for a nice “up north” experience. We enjoyed the the large grassy yard and sandy beach for hours of outdoor activities. We brought up our pontoon boat and spent hours out on the lake . The boat launch was just across the lake and we were able to tie up to the dock at the house.....loved it! The house is very spacious for a large group and has most everything you need so the living was easy. Having two refrigerators was a definitely a bonus. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards out on the water as well as the indoor board games for some very competitive evening challenges. Loved the location with Central Lakes town just around the corner and the close proximity to Traverse City, Petoskey, Charlevoix and great golf courses. Thanks Angela for helping us have a great family vacation!

Beautiful property with amenities for all ages, interests, and needs.

We very much enjoyed our time at The Flying Fish. The dock and beach area was perfect for the kids and everyone enjoyed the kayaks and standup paddleboard’s. We were a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the property, quality of the sheets/bedding and wet soggy backyard, but we didn’t let it get us down. 4th of July fireworks from the dock were amazing. Thanks for a great week.

This was our second time staying at the Flying Fish and we had a fantastic visit. Angela made a few small improvements (more washcloths and hand towels, new door and lock, and a great new coat of paint to the house) since our last visit that were appreciated. We rented a pontoon boat for a day again at Bedell's Crossing (only short walk, kayak ride, or <5 minute drive away). This year we also rented a jet ski from Vacation Water Sports that they deliver to the lake for no extra charge. Overall we had a terrific visit and hope to return here again in the future. This is a perfect rental for large or small groups and especially for families with kids. Angela has the cottage well stocked with virtually everything you need if you have a baby or toddler (baby gate, booster seat, pack-n-play, etc.).

Flying Fish is a delightful gem! One step inside this clean and updated home, you’ll see many windows and doors open onto a view of the lake (that never gets old!). You also realize the owners have thought of everything: the unique long bench just inside the door, hooks, benches and mirrors in every room, a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable new furniture (inside & out) and extensive entertainment options. You’ll also find fun touches throughout, such as a wall mounted bottle opener ( it works!), wood headboards and skis on the wall. The second living space is cool and would be ideal if we had another family or our kids with us. We didn’t detect the typical lower level smell you’ll find in many waterfront homes. After driving down the idyllic pine needle covered driveway, sitting on the expansive quiet deck or spending time on the sandy beach, you’d never believe a grocery store, marina, old fashioned 5 & dime, pizza or ice cream shop are only a few minutes drive away .... but they are! You’ll also find good restaurants, bars and dessert options nearby (check out Short’s, Mammoth Distillery and Ruthann’s Bakery). There is much to do in the area- we enjoy Barnes State Park for swimming in Lake Michigan or just walking along the shore. Flying Fish is an inviting home where you can truly relax and get comfortable. The owner, Angela, is terrific- communication is easy and fast. She emailed helpful specifics about the property, but was also happy to answer my questions. We hope to come back- next time with our kids. Thank you Angela and Tim for sharing Flying Fish!

Our family had such a great time at the Flying Fish. I booked it for other family members and they were very impressed and no one wanted to leave. The house is spacious with two living areas and we really appreciated the two fridges. The location was great, we went to Shanty Creek Resort for skiing and tubing easily and Bellaire for lunch. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Went up for a New Years getaway with another family. Very kid friendly and has all the amenities you need!! Great location! Angela was very quick to respond to a couple Minor questions! Overall, would definitely stay again!!
