Our group of 4 adults enjoyed our stay at Flying Homestead very much. This property is wonderfully decorated and very well supplied with everything you need. We loved the remote location but yet it is convenient for all activities in the area. Communication with the host was excellent and checkin/out was very easy. We would highly recommend Flying Homestead and would definitely stay here again.

The house was beautiful, spacious, clean, and came with all the amenities one would need for a two week's stay. It was also secluded enough from the nearby town so we truly felt like we were "out there," although, the bustling town was only a 15 minute drive with all the grocery shops, cute thrift-stores, bars etc, one could ask for...Oh, there is even a really cool record shop in Twentynine Palms proper that I must recommend called White Label Vinyl. Super cool find! All in all, a wonderful stay, and we would rebook in a heartbeat! Thank you! <3

Absolutely wonderful place.

We had an incredible stay at this well-equipped home with great desert vibes! It was a perfect homebase for JTNP and these East coasters were so mesmerized by how many constellations we could see from the backyard!

We enjoyed our stay in the main house. Had everything we needed very well stocked and appointed. Just a few minutes off the main road between Joshua Tree and 29 Palms but a world away in the peace of the desert. Park entrance 15 minutes and plenty of grocery stores and restaurant choices along the way. Very large property with plenty of space to wander and enjoy. Really appreciated all the effort that has been invested to make the place nice, comfortable and unique. Hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay here & would stay here again. Spacious and comfortable. Away from it all feeling but close enough for a short drive to the grocery store, shops, restaurants, & sight seeing.

This is a lovely, treed and peaceful place. Great place to get away from the noise and the traffic. Close to Joshua Tree National Park and the Mojave National Preserve.

House is in secluded and quiet area with great night sky views. Decorated very nicely and very comfortable

Real eclectic property. Little and Big funky things all around. Pretty chill quiet place! A little hard to find Only heard the coyotes in the distance at sunset which was special to experience. Sunrise and sunset were also special to see. Property has been updated . Would stay again

This property was just what we were looking for... Close to Joshua Tree, dog-friendly, quiet, with space to roam and explore. Patricia was great at communicating and check-in and check out were a breeze. It was HOT while we were there, but the air-conditioners in the bedrooms and dining area kept the place cool and comfortable. There are two other units on the property, but we still felt like we were the only ones there. Views forever... Will definitely stay here again.

My kids and I had an excellent experience. The house was adorable and well stocked. We loved the boat yard. Excellent communication from the host. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is a spectacular little retreat near Twentynine Palms and close to the east entrance to Joshua. The home and its porches were so lovely. Got some much needed solitude and peace here. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

My family and I really loved this super adorable house. It was super clean and had all the necessities. Patricia was great with checking in on us and making sure we were enjoying our stay. The house is only 20 mins from Joshua Tree which was awesome. You really can’t beat the peace and quiet this place has to offer and I would definitely stay here again if we ever came back out to Joshua tree.

Off the beaten path from town which was perfect for us. Totally enjoyed the silence, decor and the huge sky.

The property is about 10-15 minutes north of 29 Palms and about the same distance from JTNP. The kitchen is very well-equipped (excellent appliances), and the house overall is clean and tastefully furnished. There are a total of 3 units on the property, and if all were occupied it would feel less secluded; none were while we were there. There is no tv, but the wifi service is excellent. There are a couple miles of dirt road to get to the property, but easily passable without 4 wheel drive. Very enjoyable!

The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The home was great and close to Joshua Tree National Park. Total of 4 adults and we were very comfortable. Lots of towels, sheets, blankets, etc. Would highly recommend!

The Homestead was so charming and perfect we added a day! Simple, tasteful furnishings and decor. And the owner has included so many little touches to make your stay wonderful! Great communication with Patricia! Stay here!!!

Not only is this rental nicely appointed, clean, and well cared for , I really appreciate the communication from Patricia as well. My friend and I drove down from Napa for a yoga festival and was anticipated to arrive late. Like 4AM late. Patricia was helpful, left the light on for us, accommodated us, and gave really helpful directions to get us there considering our first visit, in the dark, etc. I plan to stay here again, and will probably be on my own & rent the smaller bungalow. In short: Just Fabulous! Thank you, Patricia!

Property is very eclectic and comfortable. We have stayed a many VRBO properties around the world (Caribbean, Paris, Rome, States, Mexico) and this property ranks near the top. Clean, well stocked kitchen and bath (shampoo etc.) and obviously owner very focused on the details. Booking, entry and departure was very simple. Just know home is a bit remote but particularly morning coffee and wine a sunset is perfect outside. Can't go wrong.

We just got back from a two night stay at the flying point homestead. The house was just as beautiful as pictured and our hosts were super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would recommend to anyone and are looking forward to returning for our next trip to JTNP!

My family such a nice stay in this lovely home. We came up for the weekend and enjoyed the outdoor space immensely! We took some amazing photos in the yard. Of all the home rentals we have used (a lot), this was the by far the experience because the house had everything needed for comfort and enjoyment!

Planned a quick weekend trip to JTree for some climbing, we met a friend who can't leave his beloved dog behind so we try to find places to stay that are pet friendly. We found the Flying Point Homestead and loved this place. It was a unique find for us and could not have been more perfect for our quick stay. We enjoyed a few late night talks, cooking and climbing. We would not hesitate to rent again, hope to see you again soon!

I wanted a place to get away out in the middle of nowhere and I found it. I stayed for three nights and only left once to go hiking with my dogs in Joshua Tree Park which is just a short 15 minute drive up the road. Even though it feels like you are in the middle of the desert you are still very close to the main road. I loved the place, great kitchen, I love cooking, so it met my needs very well. The bed I slept in was very comfortable (it is a two bedroom but I only used the one bed). I loved how the place was decorated, it complemented the desert experience. I loved the grounds that the property is on and all the cool stuff that is on the property, speed boats, old pickup trucks, and cool art sculptures. It was a great place for taking great photos, which I took many of, which I wish I could share. Getting up every morning and watching the sun rise was just as beautiful as when the sun set. The place is well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels and blankets. I might have missed them but the only thing I wanted for was a pair of scissors. There are two other units on the property but I never heard and only saw the other guests once while I was there. If you want a place to get away from it all this is the place. I highly recommend it. Me and my two dogs really enjoyed our stay.

The Flying Point Homestead turned out to be the perfect space and location for our exploration of Joshua Tree National Park which we found to be a magnificent park. The home is smallish but well laid out and tastefully decorated. It had the look and feel of a new home. Even though it was just two of us, I believe it would easily accommodate 4 persons. The front porch offered a wonderful view of the hills to the south and east with the desert coming right into the front yard. We also took advantage of the back porch grill. It is wonderfully secluded and quiet yet not that far from the town of Twentynine Palms. I would recommend the Stater Bros. Market for grocery items. The host Patrica was helpful and efficient in relaying all the information we needed to settle in. I highly recommend this home.

We booked for a family weekend getaway. The house was great and Patricia was very responsive. The other house on the property is close but despite that it is designed to be very private. You won’t see the other guests unless in shared driveway. The house is the perfect getaway for a quiet desert trip and super easy to get to Joshua Tree. House had everything we needed to cook our dinners. Please note house did not have a TV but that was okay for us! We look forward to staying again sometime soon!

My wife and son and little dog stayed three nights in this house, way out in the desert. The impression as we drove down the sandy trail to the house was that it was far out in the wilderness. Actually there are other houses around. The nearest permanent habitation is perhaps 1000 feet away. Also there are two other rental units close to this house, but they are arranged so that you don't necessarily notice the neighbors, unless you want to. The location is easy to reach but getting there at night is challenging. It's about 20 minutes from the entrance of the Joshua National Park, and 20 minutes from a big supermarket. The house was spotless and everything worked! Full kitchen. Good wifi. (No TV - fine with me.) One bathroom has a tub and shower. The second bathroom is shower-only. The beds were comfy and warm. In December the high desert is cold, and the thick blankets felt good. The decorations are a mix of modern and western and of artifacts found in the desert. I liked it. The floors are attractive tile, but they are hard and cold. Bring slippers. (Maybe Patricia can make that one of the amenities?) The picture of the house doesn't show the improved walkways around the house which are much cleaner (I think) than what the picture shows. There is a nice cactus collection around the house. There are some strange artifacts in the desert around the house, several boats. One of my goals was to use my new telescope to see galaxies and other things that require a dark sky. Joshua Tree Park is famous for dark skies, but I didn't want to drive in at night. So I wanted to use the telescope at the house. Patricia was very helpful in that endeavor as she made it possible for me to turn off all the exterior lighting. This entailed access to a circuit breaker box. If you want to get away from city lights in general you need to know a couple things: (1) there is a Marine base a couple miles from the house, and they have very bright lights which are visible in the distance. (2) The house and the other two rentals have exterior illumination which is not designed to be turned off with some additional effort. (I was able to ask the neighbors to turn off their porch lights.) The Milky Way was clearly visible. All in all, our experience in the Mojave Desert was wonderful. The house was comfortable yet it put us right there in the middle of a wild landscape. We saw a roadrunner, and a coyote. We want to visit again!
