Great stay, Just what was advertised

Wonderful property. Beautiful location, great outdoor spaces.

We were beyond happy with this unit and property. The condo was spotless, the beach chairs and cooler were very handy and the kitchen included most everything we needed for storage containers, pots, pans, silverware and dishes. The grocery store across the street was so convenient. They even took care of our rental car reservation for us and our car was ready and waiting at the airport when we arrived. From reservation to checkout everything was fabulous!

My wife and I stayed in Konea 933 through Maui Resort Rentals. Our stay was amazing from the get-go. Check in was a breeze. Contact with the hotel and MRR was a breeze. They checked on us throughout our stay to make sure we had all we needed. Anytime we had a request for service they were prompt in bringing what we needed. The room was very clean . The view from the lanai was amazing!! It’s stressful enough planning a destination wedding, but not having to worry about our place I’d stay made it that much easier. Thank you Maui Resort Rentals and the Honua Kai Resort for making our wedding stay so amazing!!!

Perfect location, perfect spot in the resort. Our views from the room were amazing. Very clean. Just a little note: it does come with Bose speakers but you have to call and then they deliver them to you.

Great family resort to stay at with kids. The condo was clean and had almost everything we needed but we made it work. Close to all the best beaches and my 5 year old had a blast at the swimming pool slide! I would recommend this place to others on family trips.

This unit is one of the best! Fantastic view, spotless, comfortable, inviting and in a great location. Everything we looked for in a property! Check-in was quick and easy and full use of the resort amenities made for a very enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this unit and property overall!

We absolutely loved our stay here!!! The view of the ocean from the balcony was amazing! We saw whales in the morning while drinking our coffee more than once. The condo was super clean! The beds very very comfortable! We didn’t cook much while we were there, but the appliances were great. So nice that there were four beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler, and kid beach toys in the condo that we used several times during our stay! Towel service was great. We didn’t use the pools, but they looked wonderful. The hot tub was great. Overall I would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay here again!

The resort was fantastic, it had everything we could imagine. Wonderful location and the Maui Resort Rentals staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Large living area with 'partial' ocean view. Great whale watching in winter months. Large bedrooms and bathrooms for big families. Kitchen open to living area but could use a few more dishes to handle large family meals. Maui Resort Rentals handled all of our questions promptly and courteously.

Overall this place was awesome. The size was perfect and the view was amazing. We saw whales from the balcony everyday. A few things to consider: - Need more things to cook with. Our family goes the condo route so we don’t have to eat out as much and save some $$. We made it work but would be helpful to have say a mixing bowl, maybe a couple extra cookie sheets, sharp knifes, etc. - Need cushions on the outdoor furniture -Binoculars in the unit do not work, which was a bummer since we wanted to look closer at the whales. Other than those 3 suggestions the place was amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. The pool, dukes and spa were all awesome! We would highly recommend this unit.

Condo was great. It would have been nice to have cleaning services included. I had sent an email to Maui Resort Rentals to get a cleaning service done mid week but did not hear back. There seems to have been a misunderstanding in regards to contact number for me. I realized when I got home that they had left a couple of messages at my home phone number to give us a welcome to the condo. The condo itself was beautiful however. We had one day where our cabanas were double booked but we were reimbursed for that. Despite some issues, we would definately stay in this condo again.

Everything about this unit was perfect for our family of four. There was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy, and there were plenty of nice touches as well. The Tommy Bahama chairs, umbrellas, and cooler were very nice, and we used them on our beach outings. The Vitamix blender is a nice bonus too. I didn't notice the binoculars in the drawer under the TV until our last day, which was a bummer! The views of the lanai were perfect, and we enjoyed almost every meal out there. The way the unit is situated shielded it from the wind. We've stayed at another unit at HK before, and the wind was a problem and precluded us from eating outside. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your place. We can't wait to return again.

We had a great time at this condo. It was exactly as described. We were traveling with two teenage boys and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at this condo and it was perfect. The check-in process couldn't have been easier. They were waiting at the front to hand us our room keys and valet our cars. The condo was clean and in great condition. I would definitely recommend this condo to everyone I know and plan on making this my go to place when in Maui.

My family decided on a vacation to Maui to celebrate our son's college graduation, my daughters high school graduation and our upcoming 30th anniversary. We have been to most of the islands in the Caribbean and wondered what made Maui worth the extra travel time and expense. When we arrived at the Honua Kai and opened up the doors to the lanai we knew why Maui was worth the jet lag and extra $$. Without a doubt Maui has so much to offer in activities, beautiful beaches and fabulous weather but it was Honua Kai unit #933 is what made this trip especially memorable. This unit is everything that is advertised and more. As I've seen other travelers comment the view is even better than we anticipated. One of the things that I loved about this property is that the grounds have a very luxurious yet authentic Hawaiian feel. Unit #933 is well appointed not the least of which is the coffee. Even our kids couldn't wait to get out of bed for a cup of coffee on the lanai! Thank you so much for making our Maui vacation beyond expectation!!!

I just want to thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with us. We all had such a relaxing time. It was a perfect place for our family (with a 2.5 year old toddler). It was a very clean, modern and spacious condo in a great location. Conveniently, there is a well prices supermarket across the street. There is also a cute coffee shop style store, which has everything you really need, on the resort. The condo also included everything I needed for my son (high chair, crib, beach toys...). Watching the wales from Lani, enjoying the pools and beach, and eating pancakes at Duke's.... everything was just great. There was only one problem: we didn't want to leave! 9 days was just too short! I have been to other warm destinations including Mexico, Caribbean, Tahiti, even Cook Islands but there is something about Maui and particularly your place at Honua Kai resort. I have already recommended your place to my sister in law and some friends. It is just perfect for a low key family trip. Everything we needed was just there and we could just relax and enjoy. I am already trying to figure out when is the next time we can go there :)

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks at this property! The condo exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and privacy. One of the most quiet condos we have ever stayed in! Very spacious living room, high end kitchen and appliances, VERY comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and great showers! The underground parking was very convenient (and appreciated given the high winds we had for several days!). Great to have a large supermarket next door and restaurant on the resort grounds. We also enjoyed the beach walk that connects a number of resorts. The owners were very responsive in arranging the rental and we would highly recommend this property (and hope to return!).

My wife and I stayed in here on our honeymoon and couldn't have been more pleased. The condo was beautiful and very spacious. Based on the description and photos, we had very high expectations, and those expectations were exceeded. The property was very clean and well-maintained. The pool areas are great. Due to the layout, the pools never felt crowded. The kitchen and laundry in the unit, along with the public grilling areas, were big pluses. There is immediate beach access, as well. We loved having Duke's Restaurant and Bar on site, and the grocery store across the street was very convenient. For a nicer dinner, I would definitely recommend heading to Lahaina for Lahaina Grill. If willing to make a longer drive, we would recommend a Haleakala bike tour to everyone! Just make sure you bundle up. We would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends. We feel like it was a great value compared to some of the hotel options, especially when you consider the amount of space in the condo. We are already looking for an opportunity to come back, and when we do, we'll hope that the same unit is available. Highly recommend.

The condo had a great view of the ocean, beach and sunsets from the living room, as well as beautiful and very comfortable furniture and beds, three nice LCD TVs, a nice kitchen and balcony. It was about a one hundred yard walk to the beach and a quarter mile walk to the grocery store. I went running on the boardwalk in the morning, took scuba diving lessons in the mid-morning and went golfing in the afternoons. There were several pools on-site and Duke's restaurant was there, if you don't want to cook. It was within long walking distance to the Kaanapali golf courses and to Black Rock. Best of all, it was in Maui and that was really what made it such a great condo!! On the negative side, the dryer kept shutting down after ten minutes and there was a very small leak in the inflatable bed, which was still very comfortable, but made me get up every couple of hours to start the inflater again. Overall, I was very happy and can't wait to stay there again!

Dear Al and Jeni, Our 10-day stay at your beautiful Honua Kai condo in mid September was every bit as perfect as advertised and as we expected it would be. I have already recommended the property to some of our friends who are contemplating a trip to Maui. Thank you for graciously sharing your home with us. Spectacular! The condo is absolutely stunning, with large bedrooms and bathrooms, very comfortable beds and a very well furnished kitchen. We had five ladies and never felt crowded. We spent many hours on the lanai watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The grounds and pool areas are beautiful and well maintanied. The underground parking with the elevator right there to take you directly to your floor was very helpful especially when you are carrying groceries and lugguge. We took advantage of Duke's for dinner, happy hour and listening to live music. The beach was amazing and easily accessible, you didnt have to swim out very far to get some good snorkeling. This was our first trip to Maui and we cannot stop talking about how wonderful the condo was and what great memories we all have.

Honua Kia was the nicest condo we've ever rented. The owners were wonderful in answering all questions and gave us great suggestions for things to do. The location was the best. Front Street was just a few miles down the road with great restaurants and shopping. The property and the condo were beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. No photo could do justice to this place. The only problem we had was with air conditioning in the guest bedroom, but one call to maintenance and they immediately had us comfortable. I would recommend this property to everyone.

My husband and I along with our 3 daughters and my mother stayed two glorious weeks in March at Jeni and Al's spacious 2 bedroom condo. The condo had everything we needed for fun including boogie boards, beach towels and chairs, a cooler and lots of sand toys and inflatable rings for the pool. The condo has a very nice view of the pool area and ocean. The management company did a great job cleaning and providing many supplies. We loved having the lanai doors opened and rarely used the AC. My husband enjoyed barbecuing many evenings, watching the sunsets and talking to the other guests. Great snorkeling and body surfing on the beach in front of the Honua Kai. Also we enjoyed pool service and a few meals at Dukes. Times grocery store right across the street and a Farmer's market down the road. The Honua Kai is close to Lahaina and many of the activities Maui has to offer. You will not be disappointed staying in this condo!

I stayed here for a week with 3 other friends while we were in town for a friend's wedding and this place was pretty much perfect..we couldn't have asked for anything more. The view from the 9th floor is pretty amazing (we saw plenty of whales from the lanai, and there were also fireworks one night). The main sitting area, rooms and bathrooms were all pretty fancy looking, and huge...more than enough space for the 4 of us. In fact, by the end of the week, everyone else who was in town for the wedding wanted to hang at our place. The kitchen had everything (microwave, oven, toaster, plates, bowls, silverware etc...) so we stayed in and cooked most of our meals during the days. There's also a washer/dryer, with detergent provided, so you don't have to pack too much. The location was great. A shopping area was right across the street where we could go for quick eats, groceries etc. If you need a board, a surf shop is right across the street also. The guy who works there is the chillest guy ever and he'll hook you up with straps, rash guard, booties, wax etc...for free with any board rental. Also, the Lahaina/front street area was just a short drive away where there are tons of bars, restaurants and shopping areas to keep you entertained. The only other thing I can think to say about this place is that I didn't want to leave. And I don't just mean Maui...the place made it hard to find a reason to go out and explore the island at times, but don't worry, we still did, and you will too. Anyways, if you're having any doubts about this place, don't, there's no reason to...make your reservation as soon as you get a chance.
