This was our second year staying, and wow - it was so hard to leave. We love the private beach. It’s the perfect spot for kids to snorkel in shallow water and see tons of fish! My kids also love fishing in the canal right from the house - it’s so easy and they caught a lot. The neighbors are friendly and welcoming. The canals are a great spot for kayaking and seeing mullet, manatees and tarpon. We also love to paddle across the bay into the mangrove tunnels, which feel magical. Key Largo is a great place to stay if you want to explore the Everglades and lower keys. We really enjoy snorkeling, kayaking and hiking at Pennekamp State Park, which is only a few minutes from the house. The house itself is well stocked and comfortable. We really can’t wait to go back.

Amazing! Owner was super friendly and easy to communicate with, answering questions and general information. Quiet and friendly neighborhood and location was superb. There are several restaurants and water related activities nearby. Although my primary reason to stay there was work related, I took advantage of the free time to enjoy it. Definitely recommend and will be back as soon.

Absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home and Betty was super responsive and attentive to our needs and requests. We had the best experience and this home made our summer vacation perfect. The home had everything we could ever need, fully stocked kitchen, the downstairs had an ice machine and extra fridge and lots of space to run around and keep our 3 year old entertained. The lift came in super handy as we brought our boat. The private beach was our fave too. Can’t wait to be back and experience this piece of paradise again.

Great location for relaxed stay in the FL keys. Friendly neighborhood is a mix of locals and week-end second homes. Neighborhood has private beach, a great feature given the lack of beach access in the keys. Easy boating. access to bay and open waters. Good set up for your boat with boat-lift on your private dock. House is comfortable and well equipped, only needs upgraded bedsheets and towels. Overall great rental.

We had a wonderful month in Key Largo. Betty is a dream to work with and the house delivered as promised. We loved the manatees that swam up the canal to visit and the beach was perfect for birding. We had an easy time getting up to the Everglades and down to Islamorada and Key West. We truly hated to leave and will be going back. If you visit be sure to try Hobo's Cafe, the food is delicious!

Our time at the property is something we’ll always treasure. Our family and friends made so many happy memories fishing in the canal, playing games, enjoying the private beach, paddling to the mangrove tunnels, watching the manatees, and just relaxing in this sub-tropical paradise.

My family and I had a great time staying here. The owner was always quick to respond and the property is in a terrific location. We could not be more pleased with the whole experience.

The property was very clean, well situated and fully equipped. In fact, each of the bedrooms and the living area had flat screen cable televisions. Shopping and dining were easily accessible. The canal was alive with fish and bird life and we looked forward to manatee watching every day.

Property is nice, great location, great access to water and Key Largo activities. Enjoyed the peaceful nights.

Excellent location with a nice private beach.

We were there for family gathering n hoped to enjoy the experience of the keys. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day early due to amount of mosquitos in the area and inside the house. Yes, the house will impress u with its cleanliness but without telling you how many bugs are infested inside. Our first approach was seeing roaches crawled from the kitchen. The house located next to a huge swamp where mosquitos are visible all day, the canal is very dirty and sorrounded by not too impressive mobile homes. We were bitten by mosquitos everywhere inside and outside the house. We left the house with some minor things like a few water bottles in the balcony, 1 lobster left heated in the microwave, and extra trash were bagged outside the bin since it was full before our arrival. All the linens were folded, beds were made, bathrooms were cleaned and wiped, dishes/stove were cleaned, n floor was swept. We left with minor maintenance for the clean lady knowing we paid for it. The owner, Betty, had the nerve to call and bitched like we have done major damages to the house. She was very rude and without considering I was nice in the beginning to let her know that we had to leave early due to mosquitos n never thought about writing a review. It's ridiculous that the owner didn't call for pest control prior to our arrival and apologized after I told her. So don't waste your money here and it's not what u see in the pics. Btw, you can't swim in the private beach and no one was there. The local residents warned us of mosquitos and told us not to swim when we tried to go out there at 5PM. So nothing was good here n we ended booked rooms at the resort which is 2 miles away. I wasted my time and money here!!!

What a wonderful relaxing piece of paradise. We had manatees that came right up to the dock. The kayaks were fun and very easy to launch. The beach is very close and easy to walk to. It is clean and the kids really enjoyed playing in the water. The balcony on the house is a great place to have morning coffee or relax in the evening. We spent every evening out there. We drove to Key West for the day and it was easy from here. There are also two State parks close by as well. The house was so clean and spacious with everything we needed. The hosts are great to work with. Betty always responded promptly to any inquiry I had and everything was just as expected. Highly recommend this for a fun relaxing stay.

I couldn't think of one thing I would want different. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. The house was well kept and the area quiet. The neighbors were friendly as well.

We were 2 families that shared this amazing home - pictures don't do it justice. We had everything we needed for a wonderful week. The house was well equipped with towels, kitchen supplies and bathroom needs. It was a great location and we spent time at the dock fishing and for sunsets - not the best spot but still beautiful. We had manatees visit us in the canal and we enjoyed "playing" with them! The kayaks were great fun and there were life jackets for every sized person! I would definitely recommend this house to others!

This house was very homey and spacious. Three large bedrooms with comfortable beds and great outdoor space upper and lower areas. Almost every day we had visits from manatees and tarpon rolling in the canal teasing my husband and brother-in-law. Many great restaurants in the area and nearby beaches. Betty and Jose were always available if needed and very accommodating. Great open floor plan and updated kitchen were a huge plus. The owners put a lot of very nice touches for our convenience and supplied us with the necessities we needed. Since we stayed a month and cooked at the house, a few more baking pans or baking dishes would be nice as would a little hand mixer. Otherwise, the house was well supplied with dishes, silverware and glasses. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and the owners very nice.

Really enjoyed staying here, plenty of room and all the amenities! Kayaks were fun and we even had a visit from some manatees! Quiet neighborhood and we would definitely stay here again. So much to do in this area, never enough time!

We loved our stay in Key Largo. The house was perfect, right on the water and very centrally located. The Publix was about a 5 minute ride away, basically across the Overseas Highway. There are lots of restaurants within a five minute drive and all the snorkeling, diving, boat rental places are very nearby. Key Largo is not a big place. The house itself was in perfect condition, practically new. Everything worked well and it was immaculate. The house comes with two very nice kayaks, which you can launch right off the patio into the canal. A kayak paddle to the beach takes about five minutes, or you can venture out into open water. The patio downstairs is very nice with furniture and a big gas grill. There are ceiling fans and a floor fan which are nice if it's hot. The bedrooms are all of good size as are the bathrooms. The washer and dryer were a nice plus. We didn't come with a boat, but there is a spot for your boat if you have one. The wifi works well, upstairs and downstairs. Really there is nothing to complain about. Betty was very good at communicating with us. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Betty was fantastic to deal with, very accommodating and patient with all my questions. The house is clean and ready for a relaxing stay in the keys. We had a lot of rain while we were there but still enjoyed the patio area below the house. Very comfortable! Also enjoyed the kayaks and even kayaked with 3 manatees!! Awesome experience! Home was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Girls loved using the kayaks and seeing the manatee. Close to everything we wanted to do. Betty texted before and after our trip to check on us, would stay again and recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

We are four California women enjoying a girl's trip to The Florida Keys and then a Belize cruise. We arrived late at night and found this to be an ideal location since it was midway between Fort Lauderdale Airport and Key West. The house is clean, has air conditioning and had four separate beds. Everyone was comfortable. I have to mention that we were really hoping to see a manatee. We actually took an "Eco tour" cruise to increase our odds but the big fellas had already migrated north due to warm weather. The eco tour guide took us to the canals, where this house is located, because this is his favorite spot to find manatees. The owner, Betty, was very easy to converse with and even sent me a text making sure we were all fine. There is a nice kitchen, dishwasher and coffee maker readily available. This house really met our needs for comfort and spaciousness. We were able to drive to Key West (a beautiful drive), enjoy the sunset then come back to our quiet, spacious home away from home. We would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. This home is beautifully decorated and spotless clean. We had everything we needed. The kitchen had spices and cooking oil, plus every appliance you could hope for. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and flat screen TVs. The bathrooms have plenty of towels for all. This home is close to John Pennekamp coral reef state park, which we loved exploring. The grocery store is just outside the complex which was very convenient. The Visitor Center is just a few miles down the road and offered great information on where to snorkel and fish. Betty is a wonderful host and was always quick to answer questions and give information. Would highly recommend this beautiful home.

I stayed here on my 1 year anniversary with my husband as well as my sister and her husband. We loved the house, the canal, the balcony, the quiet neighborhood, the amenities that the house has to offer... it was all around a great place to stay! Betty was more than helpful throughout the entire process as well! The house included fishing poles, chairs and coolers (that were super helpful when we went over to John Pennecamp), kayaks (that we took out on the canal to follow the manatee) and much, much more! We were searching for manatee the entire stay... and got to see a family of four the very last day. They like fresh water, so we gave them some from the hose. They loved it... and we loved seeing them! I would highly recommend this property to anyone! : ) We will definitely plan on staying here again! We loved Key Largo and loved the Keys!

The home is beautiful and located on a quiet and peaceful canal. We saw 2 manatees off the dock of the house, which was a real treat. We really enjoyed the kayaks which were provided with the home, and we kayaked out into the Bay numerous times. The neighborhood private beach is conveniently located to the house, a short 2 minute walk. The home is well equipped and included everything that we needed. John Pennekamp State Park is just a mile away for snorkeling, beaches, and boat rental. The owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this place!!

My husband and I rented this home for 6 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is quite comfortable with many amenities. We particularly loved the beach area, which was a short walk from the home. Several good restaurants nearby and a local fishery which had fresh fish everyday! Our landlords were so accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. We have already reserved the home for 2016. Can't wait to come back. We love the keys! Highly recommend this home.

This house was ideal. Very clean, great location, well-equipped and lots of extras to boot. It was a girls week get away and this house was perfect for us. The neighbors were very nice and the owners were very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this house.

This is a well-kept house in a very good location (near a small private beach). Bedrooms are clean, spacious, and well-equipped. First floor area is very inviting. Kayaks and other amenities that come with the house were a big plus. Our family (6 adults and one toddler) had a great time, and look forward to visiting again in the future. Betty was a good landlord to deal with. Highly recommended.
