As city dwellers for over two decades, the opportunity to immerse ourselves in nature is something we always jump at. The Fishing Lodge was like having our own Yellowstone ranch along the River. I am an early riser and spent most mornings having coffee and breakfast outside. The cooler mornings were also perfect for the hot tub. Did you see the outside space? Though it was just the two of us, we could have a dozen people with us and still have tons of space. This home is beautiful and has it all..the well stocked kitchen, Weber grill, huge outdoor spaces, cozy beds with great linens, high-end furniture, and quirky, tasteful touches at every turn. Though we had some smoke, it did not take away the views to the North Cascades and wildlife all around. The wildlife was one of the highlights for us. We were checked out by the cutest little weasel. I watched an osprey pluck a fish right out of the river. We watched mama deer lead her two fawns across that same river. When they were not fording the rapids, they were grazing in the yards, along with mama wild turkey and her chicks. The owner is highly responsive and thoughtful. She lives very close by if you need anything. She even brought us a wonderful hand painted bottle of red wine to enjoy during our stay. We will be back for sure!

We stayed at the Fishing Lodge. Everything one needs is here, just bring your group & food! Accommodations are luxurious western style, very clean & comfortable beds, large multi bunk bed room for adults or children, gourmet kitchen, impeccable interior and exterior decor, surrounding views, child/adult tree house with 2 beds, night stands, table seating for 12, pool, hot tub, kayaks, bicycles, floating devices, wood for fireplace if it’s winter, piano for music, song & dance, Top of the line appliances and BBQ Grill, the river immediately out front for fishing (we caught trout and there are plenty more there!). It’s located very near restaurant’s, grocery stores, bakery (organic and not), and MOST outdoor recreational activities. There’s a Resort and the Western Town of Winthrop nearby too. Truly a super-rental & vacation location spot you don’t want to miss! Sooo MANY fun things to do and simply too many fun and cool features to mention! We also truly appreciate our Host Ali and her partner who were beyond available and accommodating. they are very cool, friendly Hosts, and their lovable, friendly dog whom we enjoyed sharing with as well! We will definitely reserve again soon for next year!

This homey lodge is the perfect spot for a multi-generation vacation. Bunks for the kids and comfortable beds for all the adults. The pool just outside the door was a big hit with everyone. The long table in the “tree house” provided a shady dinner spot on a hot day. This was our third year at The Fishing Lodge and we’ve already booked our vacation for next year.

We love this home it’s rugged, cowboy luxury in a stunning location next to the Twisp river. Sitting in the inground, hot tub, looking at bald eagles in the tree above is just as very special experience.. We will definitely be back next year.

We came to attend the Winthrop Car Show in Sept. We brought 6 classic cars, and the host was most gracious letting us park everything on the property! The house and grounds are stunningly beautiful. I would highly recommend this property… we will most definitely be back!!

We stayed at the Fishing Lodge for our annual family trip and loved every minute of it! The kids and adults loved the pool and hot tub and the tree house with the day-bed swings were amazing! No one wanted to leave! The owner Ali was very kind and helpful! We can't wait to book this place again!

My friends and I stayed for three nights at Ali's Fishing Lodge property, and it was a fantastic experience in every aspect. First, the location on the Methow is prime, and in early September we were able to enjoy the beach on the riverfront and float the river starting from the property. Second, the lodging itself is stellar. You can feel the craft and care that went into the home, and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Plus, the lodge was very well stocked with everything imaginable for our group. And finally, Ali went totally above and beyond as a host! She was communicative, helpful, and even gave our group a ride into Winthrop. Thank you again for your hospitality Ali! I'd recommend this stay to anyone, and I'll definitely be returning.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Fishing Lodge. Ali is beyond responsive, and her thoughtfulness towards the youngest of our group was beyond anything we have ever experienced in all our years of parenting. We hope to be back soon!

Beautiful grounds. Did not disappoint. Nicely maintained house, exactly as listed. The host, Ali, was very responsive and helped us out with multiple requests. The river next to the property was absolutely breathtaking, and the private pool was a big hit with the kids! Would definitely recommend this property!

Great multi-generation getaway with lots of room for everyone to spread out and have fun. Grandkids loved the pool and took over the bunk room as their sleeping and hangout space. The adults could get some quiet time in the “treehouse” or just hang out by the pool and take in the sun and the beautiful view of the mountains and the river. We found lots of close-by trails for hiking and biking, and great small lakes for paddle boarding and kayaking. This was our second year at the Fishing Lodge and we’ve already booked this great house for Family Vacation 2023.

We had a fabulous time gathering with three generations at this house. Wonderful indoor/outdoor space. Kids were in the pool all the time. River was beautiful and we were able to take out our fishing raft right below the house for easy river access. Beautiful sunsets and house had everything we needed plus some. Would love to bring another group back in the future!

We can’t say enough great things about this house, its location, and the very accommodating host. Incredibly charming western motif with an eclectic vibe. Endless opportunities for adventuring in the Methow Valley. The big downside is that you don’t want to leave the property as there is so much to do on site for kids and adults, thought there’s always the great relaxation that comes with drinking in the view of the Methow river and the North Cascades from the pool/hot-tub deck.

We spent a long weekend here with our 2 little kids (4 and 1) and 2 other families with similarly aged kids. It was excellent. The space is large and accommodating with great sleeping options. The outdoor play spaces are lovely and our kiddos(and the adults) loved the trampoline. There are lots of toddler friendly toys. Next time we’ll have to visit when the pool is open!

Welcoming home with all that we needed! We used every square inch of the home and property and my grandkids loved listening to all the great albums!! The hot tub was a hit as well as the attempt at sledding. Played games at the long dining table and watched movies in the cozy living room. We had a wondering annual “memory trip” Thank you!

Plenty of space for our group of 9 to spread out or spend time together. Lots of fun and funky decor to enjoy as you can see from the pics. Beautiful spot on the river, very quiet and peaceful. Only odd thing for us was the shower/bath in the main upstairs bathroom. The shower attachment is at bath level so a little awkward for adults to use a handheld shower. Also I won't tell you how long it took me to realize that I had to slide the mirror over to access the only electrical outlet in the room. ;P Ali was super responsive and helpful to all our questions. We’ve stayed at this time now twice as a Seattle skiclub group. It is well located ,gorgeous setting, Very masculine and tasteful. The most well equipped kitchen of any rental homes I’ve ever stayed in. We will definitely be back

Wonderful home in an incredible spot. All 14 of us ages 5-76 had an amazing holiday. Watched eagles from the upstairs bedroom, enjoyed late night puzzles and card games at the enormous dining room table, great sledding hill right in the yard, and used the hot hot hot tub daily after skate skiing. 12 of us - 6 adults and 6 kids - spent Thanksgiving in the house. It was perfect for the number of people and the occasion - the kitchen, dining, and outdoor space were amazing!

We loved our stay at this lovely home and property. The view from the hot tub, pool, and tree house were beyond expectations. The kids were totally in love with the sheep, trampoline, orchard and pool. Ali was very hospitable and even brought us hand pressed cider from trees in the orchard. We used the floats and kayaks available to us on the river and were in bliss sitting by the river on the beach right in front of the property. It was a magical weekend and would recommend it to everyone!

By far the best rental experience we’ve had. The pool/hot tub was incredible- the kids were in heaven! The house was so cool and comfy. It had such a comfortable and homey vibe- we were able to have a healing and joyful family reunion! Ali was incredible with our kiddos and shared horse toys for the young ones to play with outside! She also let us pick fruit from her orchard which was such an amazing treat! The icing on our whole trip we’re the goats!! We’re so grateful for this incredible experience!

This is a beautiful property located along the river. The house was perfect for our 3 family weekend getaway. The kids were in the pool the entire time (even during a warm summer rain). The "Tree House" was awesome. The hostess was attentive and easy to reach if we needed anything. We are looking forward to our next visit and hope to plan for a longer getaway to this lovely home.

This beautiful home and property on the Methow River was the perfect setting for our annual family vacation. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out, yet cozy to be together. The swimming hole on the river was great to cool off and then head to the hot tub or pool to warm up. The property is close to hiking trails and a lake and golf course. Owner, Ali, was very gracious and helpful. Our family would definitely recommend this property to other families.

This was the perfect spot for our multi-generation annual vacation. The grandkids all loved the pool and the hot tub and the bunk room was perfect for playing during the day and sleeping at night. The "tree house" area was great for relaxing on a hot afternoon. The river view was beautiful and close enough that the more adventurous members of the group kayaked down from Winthrop. Ali was very responsive to anything that needed attention during our stay. Finally, the bedrooms are all air conditioned, so even in the hot (high 90s) weather it was comfortable for sleeping.

It feels like someone lived there to figure out what worked and was needed.The kids all loved the bunk room and spent hours playing up there. The air conditioning upstairs was more than adequate. It did get a bit warm downstairs but by the end of the week we’d figured out all of the tricks to keep it from getting too hot.The pool and hot tub were great and I think there was a lounger for every single person in our group. There's a great view of the river from the area around the pool.Off from the side of the pool there's a big deck, it's almost a tree house. On the deck there are two amazing outdoor beds, some chairs and a huge table. It's another lovely place to sit. The trees give some nice shade in the hottest part of the day and the wind keeps it nice and cool.There are two huge washers and two huge dryers in the mud room. We only used them for towels but it made it really easy. There’s a ton of space out there to hang up wet gear and store any extra food you have. During the trip we had a couple of questions for the owner Ali. We would text her and she would stop by a little later to help with anything we needed. Ali had exactly the right balance of being hands on and very available without it feeling like she was always around.We really had no complaints, we’ll definitely be staying here again.

The setting is beautiful by the river with the mountain views, and the deck is the perfect place to relax. We had plenty of space to relax and unwind, and the house if furbished very well. We' love the Methow Valley and will be back to Ali's house again!

Our family enjoyed this property immensely. We vacationed with another family and we all had such a wonderful time. The kitchen is ready for hosting large family dinners and there are wonderful large tables for everyone to gather both indoors and outside under the beautiful Aspens next to the river. Our children didn't want to leave the pool to hike and bike all within a short distance of the house. It felt magical to be poolside while watching people rafting on the river. So much fun!
