We brought our six kids on vacation and this house was perfect! Beach was quiet and not crowded. The house was perfect for families with kiddos. Kayaks, life jackets and toys for the kids! House was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items should you want to cook. Our first night the ac wasn’t working properly and Daisy had someone there super quick to fix it! Couldn’t be happier with our stay here, we only wished we would of booked longer!!

The family absolutely loved the property, it was very peaceful. The house was clean and the views breath taking. Native wildlife graced us daily with early morning visits from dolphins and afternoon visits from multiple species of birds.

The house was beautiful with just a few steps to the private beach. The deck was perfect for relaxing and watching the dolphins in the morning come up so close to shore!! My son caught some fish with the poles provided. We loved all the beach toys provided. The cons (which aren’t even a big deal) the water is yucky brown. Some people know this, others may not. Also it washed up lots of different things, which is probably pretty common for most places: but during our stay, it washed up a piece of board with nails in it -right next to where my kids weee swimming, I’m assuming from the docks that are still left from the hurricane aftermath. (Obviously no fault of the owners) Also, My husband said the ceiling fans were dusty and under the beds needed cleaned- HOWEVER, the rest of the house was very clean. My one recommendation would be to keep the grassy area cleaned up and maybe widen the walk path a little. The grass was a little taller that I would have liked - which made me nervous thinking of gators hiding in there. The neighbor told me there had been some recent sightings of one on the beach; so always be aware, especially with kids. Otherwise the stay was perfect. Would definitely stay again!

This home is a dream. Beautifully decorated and just perfect for enjoying the gulf breezes. The sandy beach was lovely and we were out there everyday. Owner has exceptional communication. Daisy is the best.

This was our second stay at Castawaykey..and I wondered if booking it again would or could measure up to the first time. Primarily a girl's escape for me and my daughter and our homeschooling but again, it was so much more. Large uncluttered light-filled rooms with beautiful views and the back deck with an unmatched view of the gulf! Seagulls, cranes, hummingbirds, mockingbirds that awaken you each morn to the spectacular promise of a new day, pelicans, squirrels, rabbits, sand crabs running to and fro, and finally, on our last day...the dolphins made an appearance! My daughter danced on the beach to the music playing in her head...no earphones, just her inner music...she wrote messages in the sand...to find the next morn that some mysterious beach-walking neighbor had left a message for her.."please perform a dance". Castaway Key is hidden between the wooded bayou and the gulf. Two worlds meeting. The full moon gleaming over the ocean at night... awe-inspiring! The storms blew in, dissipating just as quickly as the sun peeped out again as if two days in one. We watched "On Golden Pond" during the storm... often stopping to "experience" the feel and smell of the storm and pounding whitecaps on the deck. We felt safe, private, and so very cozy and free! We cooked what and when we wanted in the large, fully accommodated open kitchen. We shared poetry by Mary Oliver. It came alive with meaning from Castaway Key!

This house was amazing. The views were beautiful. I love being on the beach but I love peace and quiet. This home checked all of my boxes. Me & my family will be back real soon...

We absolutely loved this property for the amazing views, fishing, beach time, and privacy. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It was the perfect place to gather life long friends from different states for a vacation.

Our stay at Castaway was excellent. All amenities were provided to make our stay comfortable. Beautiful views from the deck of the house and a very comfortable porch to sit on to listen to the waves. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and eating at the house. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ocean Springs.

This is a beautiful home in a quiet and very private area. We loved the large covered back porch for viewing the sunsets. Walks along the beach are literally a couple dozen steps from the house. One does need to understand that the waves are very small and the water is an opaque brown along the Mississippi Coast as compared to the clear water and bigger waves of the Florida panhandle. This is reflected in the difference in price between the Mississippi Coast homes the panhandle. But everything is a trade off. If privacy and no crowds is your thing this is a great place to visit. The king bed is super comfortable, a queen bed super firm, and the other queen bed is so soft it's only appropriate for children.

We enjoyed our stay - we loved the peacefulness of it. We also liked it was close to downtown ocean springs and Biloxi. The house was beautiful and decorated so cute for Thanksgiving! We hope to come back and stay here again!

Beautiful place

We had a great experience for our first time at Gulf coast of Mississippi. Our house was beautiful and spotless . We had privacy yet not too far from town (20 min) We saw raccoons up close, caught blue crabs which we held then released .So those crab traps were a lot of fun. We put chicken drumstucks in it . Also saw dolphins swimming by our place . Found hermit crabs and ghost crabs on the beach. The deck was bigger than the picture shows! Wish the fishing poles were in better shape though . Some of my party were afraid of the ocean because it was brownish and they couldnt see what was there . I jumped right in used kayaks no scary creatures. We googled to find out Mississippi sediment is why its that color . Fun stay. Wish we had a longer vacation.

The house was exactly as advertised. Daisy was the perfect host always quickly answering my questions. Nice touch on the flowers, welcome sign and ingredients to make smores! Would stay here again.

This house was just great. The check in was easy and Daisy was very communicative and sweet. The house had an incredible view and was situated in a great spot. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves. The house was stocked with everything we could need, was clean and well maintained. We will definitely ve back.

Me, my husband and kids enjoyed our vacation here. The area was quiet and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for.

We loved the peacefulness of this beautiful property right on the beach! We went crab hunting after dark. It was amazing! Would definitely refer a friend or go here again.

Overall the stay was awesome. So relaxing and just being away was the greatest. Only 3 things of note; the grass was too high around the mailbox, made it difficult to find address and the grass around the firepit and walkway was also overgrown. Being the guests leaving on Sunday required the garbage cans to be taken to the street for Monday pickup, no problem except we were all ladies and the guests prior had left watermelon on top of the cans and by Sunday there were maggots. We handled it. Overall, we had a very restorative, relaxing time as hoped for. We will be booking again.

It was a great experience. Seeing dolphins swim right off the coast was amazing. Definitely recommend for first time renters.

Overall the beach house was great!

The house was exactly as described. It was very roomy and well furnished. The privacy was amazing. The only complaint was the bed in the middle bedroom. I know mattresses are one area where everyone has a different opinion but this one was probably the worst one I have encountered. It was very soft and kind of folded in on itself. You had to roll to the edge to try to get up. Other than that, it was perfect.
