We can’t say enough great things about our stay here, it was incredible! Beautiful beach right at the front yard, plung pool to cool down, spacious house for all the family, and loved all the staff that worked at the property as well as Leanne for fantastic communication. Good restaurants and night market down the road but overall a very chill area. Would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful location, Property, and people. My family had the best time. The house is amazing. The location right on the beach was perfect. The people who cleaned, cooked, and watched over the house our amazing people. I actually forgot my family’s passports in the bedroom safe when I drove to the airport to fly home. In a panic I called Leeana to ask for help. She arranged for Kimberly, the cook, to retrieve the passports and drive them to the airport. We made it on the plain just before the doors closed. Leeana and Kimberly didn’t have to do this for my family after we had checked out of the house. But the did with a smile because they are wonderful people!! Hope life gives my the opportunity to return to this beautiful place again.

Great house on a beautiful beach but a fair distance to walk to restaurants and market

The villa was a fantastic place to stay. Right off the beach with wonderful and friendly staff. Jeffrey, Anna, and Kimberly and her family were all excellent. Can’t wait to go back again.

We had a great family trip. Ten adults and two babies. The house, property, and the beach was everything we hoped for! The staff was responsive too! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We loved Casa Mirage and Costa Rica!

From the minute we got to this lovely property, everything exceeded our expectations, communication with staff was great, we had heard a lot about Kimberly cooking for People so we had her cook some dinners and a breakfast. Muy Bueno! The location was perfect for our family and we all enjoyed the beach and ocean. Housekeeping came several times and that was so wonderful. There were so many extras like security that was unexpected. Overall we can’t think of a better place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary!. Thank you

Wonderful home to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary with teens and adults. Spacious and clean, staff was great. Beach is great, busy with surfers at high tide but understandable for holiday break. Having a car seemed necessary for access to groceries and a wider selection of restaurants. A welcoming sleepy beach area away from the chaos of Tamarindo. Will definitely return!

From the moment of booking this property and all throughout the stay, communication was clear and helpful. The property was in a fantastic location right on the beach, which was sandy with lots of shells and a rocky area to the right side with tide pools to explore. The waves were just big enough to boogie board and surf on but still manageable for kids to play in. We hired Kimberly to prepare breakfast each morning and I highly recommend that. We woke up to coffee already made, breakfast was ready when we wanted it, then all dishes cleaned afterwards. We had her prepare a few dinners as well. We were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday, so we had a group of friends come down. There are 5 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and at least a queen size bed, so there was plenty of space. We hired a personal chef, Belly Fedbetter to make his birthday dinner and it was fantastic! You Are Costa Rica was recommended by the house for our excursions and Mariana was so helpful in making the trip run smoothly, even setting up appointments for the Covid tests we needed to go home. She also had boogie and surf boards at the house when we arrived. Not only was the house in a great location, clean, with comfortable beds, all the people who run the property made this a truly relaxing vacation.

We loved our stay. House was great and in good shape. The staff was helpful and the beach was beautiful. We rented surf and boogie boards from a local shop and spent hours on the huge beach. A short drive to Tamarindo and you are in a very touristy fun city if you are looking for more than just relaxation.

Amazing location and beautiful home. We could not have had a better trip. The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful in all aspects.

Casa Mirage is a tranquil place to stay away from the chaos of nearby Tamarindo. We were a party of 8 including two children (11 and 12), who had a blast swimming at beach and swimming pool. We visited the next-door national park, explored the shore and played board games at the home. The house can easily accommodate 12 people in five bedrooms, two living rooms with couches and five bathrooms with showers. The house is an aging property but still in very good shape and looks just like the pictures. Leana, the property manager was super attentive and responsive to our questions and concerns. We experienced a few issues with the storms that passed by during the late afternoon and nights, she took care of it very quickly. I would recommend they fumigate more for ants, as we found several inside the property around the kitchen. Would also recommend they do not charge for borrowing/renting boogie boards and possible provide those, life jackets and beach toys for children for free with a refundable deposit. For foreign visitors traveling by airplane is difficult to bring stuff like that. I feel having those type of items available for guests at the property would enhance the experience, especially for families with teens and smaller children.

The house was lovely exactly as the pictures described. There a courtyard that was great in the middle of the house and the gardens had lots of adorable “wild” life my kids saw iguanas and crabs and lots of birds it was great. The house staff to great care of the property. Marianna who was recommended by the home owner was amazing and was quite the help to us as this was our first trip anywhere with our kids and family outside of the US. They told us where the best grocery stores where and their drivers were awesome. We’ll be back again we hope.

Everything was wonderful. Kimberly made the stay an authentic Costa Rician culinary experience. Manager and staff were very responsive to our needs and inquires. The combination beach and pool availability was outstanding for our family! With a 9 foot tide, the beach was a wonderful flat massive sand box.

We were supposed to stay in April of 2020, but we’re able to postpone to this year. We had an amazing stay. It was so nice for the kids to be able to go back and forth between the pool and the beach all day. Kimberly cooked for us all week, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was wonderful to not have to think about the meals and everything tasted fantastic.

The home is located directly on the beach which was super convenient when we didn't feel like going out exploring. We stayed here over new years and got to see baby turtles on the beach!! The staff were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for the stay. We had a birthday in the group and they decorated for when we arrived! Definitely have Kimberly cook for you one night, the food was amazing. The only negative is that part of the yard/beach in the back of the house is not private and it's possible for people to wander onto the property. We felt safe with the security on-site and as long as we blocked off the yard with the provided beach chairs we had no problems. Just a note, it's about a 30 min drive to Tamarindo.Definitely recommend checking out RipJack Inn for happy hour or food, it's right down the street near the main entrance for Playa Grande. Also, Hotel Tortuga has a great restaurant and we ate here multiple times. I would 100% stay here again!

I would recomend a better refrigerator, more electrical outlets in the kitchen area( near the microwave), change the floor with a non-slippery material( very slippery when wet) and the steps outside very dangerous( the area were the rooms are located)

We loved our five nights at Casa Mirage on Playa Grande. The location was unbelievable, the house was beautiful and the staff were lovely. We had Kimberly cook us three meals, and they were all delicious! The house was perfect for our two families and we enjoyed every sunset and evening starry sky. We'd return there in a heartbeat!

We stayed here in January. It was my husband, myself and our 3 children. Way more room that we needed. Each room is an individual room with it's own bathroom with a courtyard in the center. From the photos of the property you may think you are completely secluded. But you are on a road with other homes. But you never know they are there. I liked that. Was a little nervous we would be in the middle of nowhere. The beach is spectacular. The surf amazing. The sunsets are like something out of a movie every night. There are small surf shops, restaurants and grocery stores all very close by. We went to Tamarindo a couple of times. Around 1/2 hours away. Lots of activity, shops, bars, restaurants there. Just a little tricky driving at night the first time. We chartered a private boat in Flamingo for a day. Again, short 1/2 hour drive. I would highly recommend this! Kimberly made dinner for us on our arrival night. Great call! Mariana and Marco delivered surfboards to us one day. They were available at all times for anything we needed. We went to the local market on Wednesday night. It was so cool. Items for sale, great food. So authentic. We had drinks and lunch at Rip Jack Inn. You could walk there. It was really good! The staff worked meticulously keeping the place clean the whole week. The staff did a load of laundry for us once and cleaned once. We loved it here and hope to be back someday!

We loved our stay in Playa Grande. It was right on the most beautiful beach with the loveliest sand. Our family had a ball surfing, boogie boarding and walking the beach and for the little ones playing in the wading and swimming pools. We were a little uneasy about the safety aspect, having heard of all the thefts in the area, however we were warned to always lock up and comforted by the fact that there was a night watchman on duty. We appreciated being able to use the services of Kimberly, the wonderful cook and the very friendly staff.There was lots of space to accommodate our family of 13. Overall a very memorable vacation. Julie was always very prompt to answer any questions we had. Thank you!

We traveled to Costa Rica for 2 weeks and ended our trip with a week long stay here on the beach. We could not ask for a better location and the property manager Mariana and her company "You Are Costa Rica" really made our stay the best. We had a few issues with the house - no consistent hot water upstairs, and one of the air conditioners was on the fritz. All issues were resolved after a few tries. We LOVED the location and enjoyed the surf and the pool. One suggestion I did make was to have golf carts or electric carts available for rent like they do in Tamarindo. It would make getting around much easier. We did have Kimberly cook for us for a couple of breakfasts - my suggestion is to check the prices - we found it less expensive and more variety/quantity to eat out for breakfast. We enjoyed the food at Los Tortugas and Ripjack! Mariana set us up with amazing surf lessons and massages right outside the house!! The kids had a blast surfing and the massage we got was one of the best of my life!! We will definitely return!! Pura Vida!
