This is a beautiful home with everything you need for small or large families. The home is very spacious, laid out very well and in a small cove right off of the main channel close to Shanghai Marina. We had the best time!!

Perfect location and home for our family vacation.

My family and I booked a long weekend trip for our dad, as he has been facing health issues that leave our future with him uncertain. The moment we walked into the house we were all stunned at how beautiful it was, even better than the pictures. The floor to ceiling windows gave the entire house an incredible view of the blue-green lake, and this included three of the bedrooms, each with an entrance to the double decker porch. It even rained and was a bit chilly for most of our stay, but honestly it didn't even put a damper (see what I did there) on the trip. The rain and cloudy skies actually made the common spaces very cozy, and the windows still provided a lot of natural light. Beyond the house itself, the owner was incredibly attentive. He typically responded within 15 minutes, and when one of the toilets weren't flushing efficiently, he sent out a plumber that same day. This is definitely somewhere we would come back to with our family.

Hammer House was perfect for our group of 8-9 adults. Roomy enough for everyone to be together for meals and visiting, and have your own space as well. Great location to most marinas on the north side of Norris. Brian responded quickly to any concerns or questions we had all week.

Location can’t be beat! Had some dock issues. Initial VRBO listing is not accurate.

Entire family had a great few days at the lake reminiscing about old times when we owned property at the lake also. House and Dr great and the weather cooperated. We highly recommend the property.

This dock is superb with the jet ski docks and lift for ski boat plus the location is fabulous. The owner is very responsive to any questions you may have.

Close to neighboring marinas to rent boats and keep for the weekend! Be prepared to lose signal on the ride in if you are using your GPS on your phone, but totally worth the trip in!

Great clean house to visit for the weekend. Dock is in great condition and easy to use. Indoor parts of the house are wonderful. Essentially 2 living rooms and the basement is wonderful. Kids had a great time playing in ythe house. Outdoor patio might have needed some cleanup but this being just after the season, it really worked out fine. Good firepit as well. Would def stay again.

Had a great time

This is the third house we've rented at Norris Lake, and by far our favorite. The house was big enough and set up perfectly for our family needs. The slope to the covered boat dock was very navigable by all of us. (ages 5-69) When we had a small electrical issue the owner was very attentive and got it fixed immediately. We are hoping to return again in 2022.

We enjoyed our stay!

Nice property in great location with direct view and access to the lake, spacious to accommodate our family retreat with 6 adults and 2 little kids. A new concrete path was put in so we don't have to use the small stone path, which was nice. We rented a boat from adjacent marina, used the community pool and everyone had a great time! Cons: 1. The house has on-going construction that the owner did not communicate with us in advance. Inside the common full bath downstairs was not finished for shower; Outside a patio was graded with covered dirt. All plastic lawn chairs have cracks and are dirty for use. 2. Many basics are not provided, including hand / dish soaps, detergents, toilet paper, paper towels, and even trash bags. Wish the property could provide some of the basics so we don't have to bring / shop so much on vacation.

Our two families enjoyed a long weekend together in this beautiful home. The house itself was beautiful and clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The dock was easy to navigate and fun for the kids to swim near. We appreciated the quiet cove and enjoyed the fire pit on colder evenings. All in all a perfect lake house!

This lake-front home was a very spacious 4-bedroom place with two really nice livings areas upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean and nicely decorated. There were two decks that liked it over the lake which was amazing and relaxing. It was a short boat ride to two nice marinas. The only complaint we have was the walk down to the lake. While it wasn’t very far, the stone path was a little tricky and the rocks you had to climb over to get to the dock were a little rough. It was early in the season, so the outdoor furniture wasn’t very clean. And some needed replacing. All in all our family had a great time at this lake house!

Great getaway With a peaceful location and an extremely responsive owner

The house is nice and well equipped for a larger group. The views from the house are amazing. The driveway is a bit steep and the backyard is a bit steep to the dock, especially with wet leaves on the ground- just take your time walking. We enjoyed our stay! THANK YOU!

The Hammer Haus worked perfectly for our family. It is laid out very well. Our adult children and grandchildren all had there own space. The grandkids (1 and 4 years old) loved the garden tub. The cove is nice for swimming off the dock since the main body can get very rough with boat traffic. My one complaint would be the stone steps leading to the dock. While it is a gentle slope, it rained and they become very slippery. But overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful home. Well equipped. Walk to the dock was a little steeper than expected and was not lit at night. Overall a good experience.

My family frequents Norris Lake twice a year and this was one of the best places we have ever stayed! The home was beautiful with a covered boat slip and an easy walk. Plenty of amenities and entertainment for the whole family. Will definitely be staying here again.
