The home was perfect for my wife and me; and our doggy. Enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood with our lab. Very eclectic feel with great landscaping ideas. Able to stay on my running schedule at the local YMCA, around the block and out at Greenfield park which is a few minute drive. The home has a very comfortable feel with a great porch out front to relax. Seemed to be in close proximity to everywhere we wanted to go. Recommend staying here when you're in the area.

We loved our stay! The home has historic character with amazing great quality furnishings. The beds were superb! We loved the cute, walkable neighborhood, just a couple of blocks to a city park where our dogs could run. I would definitely visit again. Thanks for having us. 😊

My husband and furry kids enjoyed our stay at the yellow cottage. The neighborhood is mature with older homes, trees and friendly people. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated with a vintage feel. Dena the host is accommodating, quick to respond and lovely to deal with. Old world charm with southern hospitality.

The house is in the perfect location for race day. It was 4 miles from the finish line. If you are there to be near downtown Wilmington, this is perfect. Quaint neighborhood and beautiful historic home. It had everything we needed.

Fantastic find! The location is perfect, offers an interesting neighborhood just for strolling. It's close to the Riverwalk, an attraction not to be missed. Bellamy Mansion tour is excellent.

We have stayed at Dena’s place twice. The location is perfect. The first stay we took our Cavalier King Charles. The neighborhood was perfect to walk him. The house is great. There’s a swing on the front porch so you can sit and relax. Dena was very nice and went beyond to make our stay great!

It was a great stay and perfect location and proximity to the city. It wasn’t under great circumstances that we were visiting due to a funeral but it made for the perfect place to unwind and relax through an emotional time. We didn’t ever really need anything but Dena had great communication nonetheless should we actually meet anything. Rules are clear, neighborhood was cute and if I had the option I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this dog friendly rental during a very hot week in July. The location is just a mile or so outside of downtown Wilmington and and easy drive to food, historic sites and the beach. The AC unit kept the house very comfortable despite temperatures in the mid 90s. The home was conveniently set up to accommodate our curious dog without much trouble. Empie dog park is a few minutes away and the neighborhood was an excellent location for daily walks. Bedding, towels, appliances, tv and other amenities were perfect and many small touches made this bungalow a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

We had a great extended stay in Wilmington and couldn’t have landed at a better location. The home is very comfortable and clean with everything you’d need for a perfect stay. One of the best features of the home is the front porch and it’s where we spent much of our “down time.” The neighborhood is very walkable and in a historic area of town within close proximity to many delicious restaurants. Communication with Dena was excellent, and she even helped me find a dog sitter for days when we were out on the water boating. There’s no doubt we’ll be back in the near future.

Unfortunately the weather was terrible and we cut our trip short. I was surprised by the neighborhood….not great. When we looked at this property in line it was shown as very close to the water….it’s not. Place was cozy with a lot of wear and tear. Lacked on street parking …just no spaces available. Boat and trailer were parked very close to the driveway making it challenging to get in and out.

We had never been to Wilmington. We had a great trip and visited everything we could. The house was very nice and all we could have asked for. Good food down on the boardwalk. If we get back to Wilmington we would definitely stay here again.

Nice home in a quaint , walkable neighborhood .
Location was excellent for visiting downtown and adjoining neighborhoods, restaurants/bars and local attractions. Beaches were also accessible within 20 minutes or so.
The home was well appointed and the kitchen well stocked; host was very pleasant and responsive. It's an older home and has a few areas that could use some tlc, but overall quite charming comfortable - and an excellent value.

Hubby and I enjoyed our stay at denas place. Loved walking around the neighborhood seeing all the historical houses especially decorated for Halloween. House is immaculate and plenty of room for two couples. Dena communicated with us about everything and even checked to see if all was well. Short drive to wilmington center to enjoy wonderful restaurants and shops. Easy drive to beach. Perfect location. Peaceful and quiet at night. Lovely front porch to sit and rock.

This truly felt like an "oasis" as we were there for the IronMan triathlon and needed all the comforts of home. Dena was so helpful and the "little things" done to the property/home made such a huge difference. Plenty of space for our stuff, yet the things we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. to have a great stay! Would totally stay there again! Highly recommend!

My husband and I -- and are two dogs -- had a wonderful stay at Dena's home. It was a charming 100-yr-old home in a historic neighborhood with super friendly neighbors, lots of other dogs and cats. Easy walk to coffee shops and great sightseeing. Dena's home is beautifully maintained with wonderful antiques throughout and the feel of a luxurious stay at a high end hotel. When we had questions, Dena responded immediately and was a joy to deal with. Would definitely stay there again!

Lovely dog friendly home
Had a great time visiting the area made all the better by renting this wonderful pet friendly home. The host was great. Very responsive and attentive.. The house has plenty of space and was nice, clean and cozy. The neighborhood offers plenty of places to walk your dog or if you just want to go for a run. It is a short drive to the river walk and the beach. I would definitely recommend this house and host😊

My husband and I visited Wilmington with our pups and stayed at this wonderful property. Not only is it in a charming part of town, the furnishing were a delight. From the dinnerware to the bedding, the details were top notch. If we travel to Wilmington again, we will definitely stay at this property again. Dena was responsive, kind and lovely to work with.
