The house description was spot on - I appreciate all the detail and I knew that the home was "loved" over the years...and we loved it some more. The beach was SO close to the house and not crowded even on the weekend days that we were there. Lots of kite surfing later in the day that was so fun to watch (not sure if that's the correct term), we were so close to everything that we could get in and out of the fray easily. Communication with the owner/rep was fantastic.

Enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. The views are fantastic. Having the chairs and beach toys available was an added plus. The house is so close to everything and having the golf cart was very convenient for quick trips to Sea Biscuit restaurant. There was plenty of room for our group.

We had an excellent stay over MDW, with 12 adults. The house is located directly on the beach and has everything you could ever need. From a plethora of beach chairs, coolers, and even a few boogie boards and a surf board, to a ping pong table/dartboard, and double grill all located under the house in the open air basement. Even an elevator to help get all the groceries etc up more easily. House is slightly eclectic in the best way possible, and had plenty of space and hang out area for 12 adults no problem, and even had a smart tv which was nice for some of the time we had rain. We even had a pretty large storm come through with tons of rain and wind and the house handled it fine, although we were also told where to access hurricane shutters and other things if needed. Extremely good communication from host, flexibility, including late check out, and overall a perfect stay for any group who doesn’t need an extra fancy house to enjoy some time on the beach/in the Charlestown area. Thanks again and hope to be back!

View was beautiful everyday. 40 steps to the beach was unmatched from any home we have ever stayed at on on a beach. This is not a new home, if you want that, do not stay here. If you would like a place that makes you feel like your home, stay here. We will be back.

We had a wonderful stay in IOP and this house was perfect for our families to relax and recharge. The house is well stocked and it was an extra bonus to have the golf cart! The views are beautiful and it’s a great location. Susan was also very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay. I would definitely recommend a stay here for families and friends!

Property was exactly as advertised, no surprises. Location was great, access to beach was easy and private. A real plus was access to the golf carts which made quick trips to town a breeze. And allowed a tour of Isle of Palms a treat. Kitchen was tight, cooking for the gang required friends only in the kitchen. We might come back if we decide on another Charleston vacation. Not sure yet. All in all the family had a good time.

Great for families with children! A calm street. Turtle nests close by and we got to see hatchlings break free and make their way to the ocean. Magical experience! A pair of hawks landed on the boardwalk to the beach. Had a wonderful week making memories!

This location is truly unmatched! The convenience of being right on the beach was something the entire family enjoyed. Beautiful home, views, and time together.

We had a group of friends for a ladies weekend (all over 50). It was a great location and plenty of seating with a beautiful view. Elevator helped bring luggage up to top floor. We all said we would stay there again.

Great location and layout; needs a deep cleaning and updates. Right on the beach with great views and big living room windows. Kitchen has plenty of cooking gear. Feels like a family beach home. But also needs work: grill was covered in mold and unusable, carpet upstairs is heavily worn and in need of a refresh, and mattresses need replacing. The beach was amazing!

Location, Location, Location.... the house is setting cannot be beat. It's removed from the street, but as close as you can get o the beach. Susan, was incredible responsive and accommodating. I asked about the temperature and without asking she dropped a fan and extra towels (and cookies) off - which is greatly appreciated. The house is in need of updates especially on the top floor with the bathrooms and bedrooms. I actually would have been okay with the state of things, but I wasn't expecting it so I was taken aback initially. The main floor and location made up for it but again a few updates and this house would be 5 stars. Susan was great, location was great, the house just needs a little TLC.

The property is old IOP; what coastal South Carolina is all about. It was perfect for us. The location is awesome. The house is dated and not pretentious, non-assuming but adequate. If you're looking for Southern Living idea house then move on to some other property. But if you want an adequate house, a great host, and the feel of what our beautiful coast used to be like before all the pretentious money came in and ruined it then this is the house for you. Great location and attentive host. Made every effort to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The house was big and accommodating but there were some issues with cleanliness. The rooms upstairs all had a mildew smell. Mold growing in in all bathrooms. You could not air it out because of the humidity. There were huge roaches all over the patio area. only one or two were killed indoors. The curb appeal of the house looked overgrown and did not conform to the other properties on the block. Lots of exterior mold. Overall experience was pleasant and our trip was a success. I would not rent THIS property again for this price. The owner was very pleasant and easy to work with. I would consider renting from Susan again.

What a great place to spend time with family. There were 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 children and the place was great and Susan, the owner, was outstanding. Responsive. Attentive and went above and beyond. Upon arrival, we discovered a problem with the dish washer. Susan had a new one installed within 2 days!!! My suggestion to all who are interested in this property to carefully read and re-read the description. The property owner does an excellent job of accurately capturing the essence of this home. The place is full of character, which is all part of the charm. Could the kitchen utensil drawer be better organized? Sure. Could there be a few more coffee cups? Maybe. Would it be nice to have more high ball cocktail glasses? Of course. But could the location be improved upon? Absolutely not. Did it have everything you need and more? Sure did. We loved it. And are so appreciative of how responsive the owner was to make our stay one we will always remember. Steve M. Charlotte

We had a wonderful week with our children and their families. The house worked well for adults (even well-aged ones) and children. The area is interesting, the house comfortable and the beach divine. The fond memories will last for lifetimes.

The house is terrific, the location superb, and the weather couldn’t have been better! Loved our stay this year just as much as last year. The owner is wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!

The home was in the perfect location, right on the beach that was only accessible to the neighborhood. There was plenty of room for our whole family of 16. Communication with the property manager was great; the dryer broke in the midst of our stay and she had a new one delivered the next day. The home was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We hope to stay there again.

An amazing host with great response times. She was so kind. We want to make it a yearly event given what an amazing time we had.

We had a lovely time in Isle of Palm! The house’s location is perfect!! Right on the beach (highly recommend ordering chairs and umbrellas, they were set up and made for easy beach going) and close to restaurants. We had a great girls weekend here and everyone was more than comfortable. Communication was easy, as was check in and out. Would highly recommend!!

Our extended family group of 14 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, well loved and lived in home. The location is ideal, the beach access perfect, and the view is spectacular with both sunrise and sunset views. Susan was so easy to work with and consistently responded quickly and kindly to any questions or concerns.

This house had everything our diverse large family wanted! The gathering spaces were wide open with plenty of comfortable seating and a dining table for 12 plus 5 stools at the bar. The sleeping spaces and bathrooms were sized and arranged just right. The kitchen had everything we needed except pot holders. The views from the house, indoors and from all the decks and porches, have to be the best on the island. The round screened porch under the turret has such a great feel. So close to the water, making it easy to go back and forth as often as you want.Even in November, the cold hardy among us swam and kayaked, and we biked (our own bikes) and played all kinds of games on the beach. The ping pong table was fun for everyone, and there’s plenty of room under the house for bikes and kayaks. The house comes with bocce and lots of beach chairs and boogie boards.Having an elevator made it easy to move in heavy bags and groceries and for anyone who doesn’t do well with stairs.The golf cart was a great treat for exploring the island and going out to eat.The decor was lovely and comfortable throughout, and there are lots of games to play. Nice Some repairs needed

5 moms/daughters - all who graduated (finally - stupid Covid) from High School & had their original trip to Mexico cancelled due to Covid - spent a week at this awesome house for the senior trip. I have to say, I think we definitely enjoyed this trip way more than we would have in Mexico! Owner was awesome to work with and went above & beyond to handle any issues which really weren't any! This was all of our group's first trip to the area - everybody wants to return! The house is spacious, views are amazing.
