The wiews and sunsets were spectacular. The house is a little dated but we were outside most of the time. Sleeping at night was nice because the AC kept the house cold!! Property manager responded promptly to messages & I left my phone behind and they went the extra mile to overnight it to me!! Would definitely stay here again.

As we drove up we were at aww at the beautiful property that was secluded on the point. No one right up next to us. As we get out, we see the huge patio that goes on for ever, it was just beautiful! My family of mostly guys, love to fish and this was absolutely the best fishing spot. The house was nice but we were outside 90% of the time. We loved it

Good place

The location of the property cannot be beat, its sits at the end of a peninsula which is perfect for fishing and crabbing with plenty of privacy. However, this house should be listed as a fishing camp not a VBRO just so you know what you are getting into. It is extremely poorly managed and upkept. There is mold coming out of the vents, and the entire house was covered in dust. Multiple lights both inside and out were out or inoperable. There was a lamp in the closet made of glass we went to use but it was broken and just jagged glass. The kitchen is severely outdated. There were only 5 forks, the kitchen stove says it is 2 years old which there is no way. One burner did not work, one was so uneven it made cooking very hard as everything went to one side. There were very few pots and pans to utilize, and all looked old and nasty. At night when the lights went off is when all the roaches came out, need pest control. The showers are not hot they are cool. The couch in the living room is pathetic. Its been so broken and horribly repaired that it forms a V in the back and is a tripping hazard. They shoved blankets under the cushions to try and prop up to make it look normal but you still fall into the broken couch and it is hard to get out of. The DVD player did not work either in the living room. Outside faucet didn't have a handle to turn on, grill was full of ash and falling apart, no propane tank as advertised. So little money put back into the house would improve it.

Need to fix few things in the house and do better job in clearing the house. Great location for fishing.

The location itself was worth the money! I wish the appointments within the house were a bit better (bathrooms, TVs, towels), but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house has a great location. Wonderful views of the bay. Perfect size for what we needed. Enjoyed the nice deck and covered area. The property manager responded quickly. However, the house is in need of upgrades. The kitchen and bathrooms are dated. The couches are not comfortable. House needs to be exterminated.

My family and I have rented this property multiple times in the past and have had enjoyable experiences, but our most recent visit was quite disappointing. Despite the outdated interior, we were willing to overlook it as the fishing in the area had been great in the past. However, this trip was hampered by unusually cold weather, resulting in no bites at all. The biggest issue we encountered was the significant presence of cockroaches. Upon arrival, we were greeted by several dead roaches inside and around the refrigerator, and throughout our stay, we found more cockroaches in the kitchen and rooms (To be fair, there was a pest control plug near the kitchen, which I believe was ineffective in preventing cockroach infestation). It made for a very unpleasant stay, and we decided not to rent this property again until the owner makes some serious upgrades. Definitely not worth the price.

The location is amazing for our planned fishing trip. We caught fish all weekend. Had small issue with outside night fishing lights and some house keeping, but the problem was fixed next day. I would definitely stay here again. Here are talking about making this an annual friends trips!!! Thanks for everything.

A great location and fishing place. With some upgrades and better maintenance this could be a premier vacation site. Some of the balcony railing was loose and lights not working.

Being in the investment business it was hard for me to see such an amazing property not well kept. Million dollar views with 1970 interior. Lights not working, stove burner turns off, shower heads spraying ever direction. Inside I felt like I was in a time warm but I think this is honestly what I expected per the listing. Hi..I'm Hamish Dcunha, we stayed in this property for 2 days (07/15 and 07/16/22) with 3 other families. I'm sorry to say that we had some inconveniences in the house, and found so many things in the house with no maintenance done, unavailable or not safe to use. Me and the other families with me felt that we paid a good amount of money for the stay, but it was not at all worth the amount of money we spent. The real situation inside the house was not the same as the Vrbo property listing, and as per our expectation. The Upstairs was too hot, AC was not working from the 1st night onwards, and when we reported, the tech came and replaced the part and fixed it on the second day. Attached are some pictures for your attention. The day sleeper room's door is stuck, cannot open. Molds around AC vents, rust on all sinks. Very poor cooking range and all outdated appliances. Toilet rolls were not enough (only a total of 5)for all 3 bathrooms. The location, surroundings and the outside of the house is good. Your attention in this regard is highly appreciated. Had a wonderful time with friends at this perfect fishing spot! The house is older but still had everything we needed for 3 families with kids ranging from 2-10 to have a great time. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great fishing for speckled trout past midnight. Fishing lights were very effective.

The Views are amazing of this property. could use a few upgrades, but it didn't bother us as we spent most days outside on the downstairs fishing and hanging out. We had a few hiccups with plumbing but the property manager took care of in a hurry. Make sure to bring mosquito spray as they get bad when its mowed. Will rent this house again.

There is not a better place in Galveston for fishing, hands down! With 3 sides of water and an amazing view, the outside of this house is 5+ stars! The inside is another story, there are so many updates that are needed. The fridge leaks, the kitchen sink leaks, one of the burners doesn't work, the couch is broken, one of the shower heads is broken, the mattresses are very old. Basically, the house is in serious need of an update. We've stayed there 3 times over the past 15 months and love the locations & fishing, but I've reported these issues to them every time and none have been fixed. If you're a group that just wants to fish and doesn't need luxury, then this place is perfect. If you're concerned about the high price and want more for your money, you might look at other places. I still give it 4 stars overall and I would say it's acceptable.

We had a great time at Penisula Point. So much space to fish and hang out with friends and family. We really appreciated how well the A/C worked, and the water pressure of the bathrooms to name a few things inside the house. Outside, we love so many things. We enjoyed fishing every day. The random items in the garage that we were able to access was an added bonus. Having access to the boat dock was another positive for us...it was a great place to dock our kayaks and paddle boards. We can't wait to run away to Jamaica Beach again.

Overall the property was decent for the fishing we did. The house is at the end of the road but it has lots of traffic and people literally stopping at the driveway. This is in no way the owners fault but just a heads up. The house is very dated and needs plenty of repairs which is stated in other reviews. The fishing lights are decent but not the greatest, mainly just a house flood light. This property could be amazing just lacking proper maintenance. So in the end the fishing was decent but don't expect really much more.

Location was awesome, on the edge of the bay. We were able to take the kids out on our jetski's & everyone could watch from under the house in the shade. The house it's self is a bit dated but functional. Will absolutely go back!

Nice location !! Plenty of room and very clean . Only complaint I have was the stove. The burners have issues and it took awhile to get breakfast cooked. . Plenty of pots and pans but nothing for baking so if you plan on baking bring pans. Kitchen stocked with a lot of dishes and glasses. No mixing bowls . I cook alot so was a little disappointed to not have baking pans and mixing bowls. Overall it was nice and relaxing . Outside space is awesome and spacious! Will definitely try to go again. We had alot of fun . The Property manager was very nice and helpful ! Easy check in and out ! Highly recommend this rental

The location of the house could not have been better. The fishing was great. The house was very comfortable. I will rent this property again.
