One of the best vacation rentals I’ve stayed at. Deer and foxes in the yard every night. Best stocked rental I’ve ever been in. Great location,5 min drive to Roche. Could walk down to Wescott Bay. Quiet neighborhood. Had three young kids, we all loved it. Only thing is that the futon doesn’t lay flat, it’s like a recliner type futon, which wasn’t ideal. Wish they’d switch that out.

Our group of four was joining another couple on a boat in Roche Harbor, this was an easy commute to Roche and was a perfect place to stay. Loved seeing all the wildlife! So many birds, deer, and even a fox!

We are building a cabin on the island. So I found this cabin and headed over. We were so surprised when we arrived. Super clean and cozy.

Advertisement looks like you could walk to anything…wrong, need a car. Beach house was cute and well supplied. Wished Lawn had been mowed and ground floor bathroom sink was a slow drain.

It was close to the resort but far enough away to feel private and quiet. The house was clean with plenty of space for our group. We had the local police show up at 8:15 pm, saying they had received a noise complaint, the officer said he could not hear us from the driveway! he was very sorry, but just be warned you cannot go outside of the house.

Cute house. Lawn hadn’t been mowed in some time. Had to work for the water view. You take your life in your hands for the “beach” access. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with ANY limited mobility or risk of injury. Only had K-cup machine for coffee. Cups were provided but if you like a strong cup of Java, bring you own. Would have sworn listing said 2 queens. Only 1 and a full. Location was close to Roche Harbor and the Oyster Company. Lots of wildlife roaming through the yard. Beautiful. Enjoyed the stay but wouldn’t rent again.

The house was a comfortable and enjoyable vacation property. We had a lot of rain, so we were unable to enjoy the outdoors area much, but the patio and fire pit looked like they would be quite enjoyable.

Ants in the kitchen!!! Something we would have greatly appreciated knowing before we booked at almost $1000 for 2 nights after fees and taxes. When we got there the first evening and started making dinner they came out in a vengeance! I killed all that I saw, but my kids were super grossed out and a couple of them wouldn't eat their dinner. We kept all our food out in the car because we were freaked out about it. I felt like bugs were crawling on me all night while I slept too! I Googled ant traps and when I saw pictures of what they looked like, I realized there were already 3 traps sitting on the kitchen counter and in the kitchen window sill. So it was obviously a problem they already knew about. When we called the property manager, his was apologetic and came out the next day at noon and placed more ant traps in the kitchen. He sent a text with fingers crossed and said he hoped that would take care of it. After coming back to the house that evening we started making dinner and the ants came back!! I killed almost another 30-40 that evening! When we told the property manager about it, he said I guess we will have to call an exterminator. We really would have appreciated that call to have the ant problem taken care of before we spent that much money or at least knowing before hand that they were having the issue so that we could have made the desicion of whether or not we still wanted to stay there when they were having bug issues!!!

It was away from both towns, we were able to hike from our house to English Camp. The beach just across the street was perfect. It was a quiet, secluded spot.

The Blue Bungalow is a clean and centeally located home close to Roche Harbor and British Camp, yet in a quiet neighborhood that feels off the beaten path. Cute and great for a group of 4. We know, we were there.

Perfect for a small family. Deer in yard everyday. Lots of games indoor and out for kids. Good location lots to see/do in the area. Great overall experience.

Its a sweet little place and we appreciate the fans in the upstairs bedroom. Lots of wildlife visit the yard. There were a few things that came back to us from our previous stay - the kitchen floor seems permanently sticky, the lighting in the living room isn't great (one of the outlets where the internet router is plugged in doesn't work so you cannot plug in the lamp located there). This year someone had clearly been smoking (a lot) in the downstairs bathroom and therefore that room, the hallway and laundry area right off the dining area smelled strongly like cigarettes. I bought Lysol to spray around the bathroom but it could not overcome the smell which made us all gag. Disappointing as this bathroom is the only one with counter space and we had to get ready for a wedding there. We tried to use the toaster but having it, the Keureg and the fridge on one circuit blew the power. The property management company was very helpful to get that resolved.

Downtown is a quick 15 minutes away and the road in is gorgeous. Well, to be fair, all the roads are gorgeous drives. The kitchen is well stocked and we never once said anything like, "I wish there was a ..... Bald eagles soared overhead another morning, calling back and forth to each other. I'd stay at the Blue Bungalow again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed eating at Downriggers, who my daughter says has the best french fries she's ever had), Friday Crab House, and the Rocky Bay Cafe. Coffee at the Salty Fox is top notch. We really enjoyed meeting local artists and farmers at the Saturday farmer's market. We did 3 whale watching tours, one sea kayaking trip, all with the discounts provided by the management company. They were all fantastic and we saw many whales and other wildlife on our excursions.
