The property was absolutely perfect. The location, view, layout of the place was amazing. Everything we would need was there. This place was perfect, no other words to describe it.

We could not have asked for a better place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the island. The pictures and description accurately described the villa. It is as beautiful as the pictures looked. It is very private and beautifully landscaped. Both inside and outside spaces had a beautiful view of Coral Bay. The outside shower was so delightful! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare some meals. You WILL need 4-wheel drive to navigate the driveway as well as the island roads. We were warmly welcomed by the property manager and were shown the villa and its amenities. Overall: more than satisfied with our stay!

We adored this location. The privacy here was unlike any location I’ve stayed in, and we had such a relaxing get away. The property manager was excellent and responsive, and we would definitely stay here again!

The house is beautifully decorated, the grounds are lush with so many interesting plantings. The kitchen has everything you need, the outdoor bathroom was a joy. We were two couples, we navigated the privacy concern of the loft bedroom by each night setting a time when everyone could gather in the main house for breakfast/coffee. And we allocated time for everyone to use the outdoor shower, allowing the necessary privacy by staying in the main part of the house (the outdoor shower is in the same area as the patio table and hot tub). Our only minor concern was that getting to the downstairs apartment requires that you are out in the weather, and it was an unseasonably rainy spring week when we were there.
The location near Coral Bay is great, it feels like you have the island to yourself! And note: although it’s an only 9-mile distance to St Cruz, it takes about 30 minutes to drive the twisty hilly road.

The Seawing was an amazing place to stay in Coral Bay. It has everything you want and need. The views are amazing! Love the outdoor shower; especially at night under the stars. The house was well stocked with everything you would need for the beach. Book it now!!! You won’t regret it.

Of all the places we have stayed in the Caribbean this could have been one of the best. The owners thought of EVERYTHING!!! If you needed it, they had it! We enjoy cooking a lot of meals from home and the kitchen was stocked with every essential you could imagine. The cookware was very nice and in good condition. But it's the little things that make this place special. I love that they put a night light in the bathroom. They left an unopened bottle of bath soap for us. The layout of the house is perfect and one that I would enjoy wherever we visit. When we did have to use the AC it was essentially like have a whole-home system with the loft interior design. Outdoor patio is great to enjoy some coffee on and see the sun rise and equally as great in the evening to eat dinner out on. The outdoor shower WAS THE BOMB!!!!
We loved the location, and while it was far from the main hub of the island, it was really nice being that removed from everything as we enjoy the privacy and it's much less crowded... but the drive to the Cruz Bay area was not bad at all. There are some good places to eat very close by and a couple of markets to get groceries. One had a great selection of meats including super fresh fish.
And the view of the ocean and surrounding islands was breathtaking!!
PS. Thank you for having a king-size bed, surprised how many places on the island only have a queen and that's an automatic disqualifier for us.

Loved this property! My husband and I really enjoyed relaxing on the deck both front and back of the home. It's so private and peaceful! Couldn't get enough of the gorgeous view, the sounds of the ocean waves at night, and waking up to the most beautiful sunrise. Loved the outdoor shower too! You can really tell the owners love their property. Can't say enough about the surrounding plants, trees, orchids, and so much more. Also, we never had to put bug spray on here at all which says a lot about the service they put into caring for this property! Thanks for sharing with us! Great trip!

This was our 7th trip to St. John. We spent most everyday visiting and snorkeling the different beaches. We loved all the seas life, especially the sea turtles.
The rest of the time was spent at Seawing!! From the exceptional view, very comfortable rooms, cozy hot tub, etc. even an adorable goat that showed up on the hill, it was just the best week we could have spent! We loved our vacation and look forward to going back next year! We've been to St. John 7 times. Being at Seawing made it our favorite visit!!!

Lovely property and really enjoyed the quietness and garden-like feel of this property location. It is a bit further from the North Shore beaches and majority of restaurants we wanted to visit. The view was fabulous, and the house was well equipped. My only concern was that we were surprised that the only shower we had access to was outside (I needed to take my showers in the sunshine and not late at night as I have a rare medical condition where I am not supposed to allow myself to get cold). In the evenings, it was cooler and therefore, I could not take a shower during the cooler parts of the day or evening. The only shower inside was in a bathroom in the lower level, which we were not given access to and we didn't know this until after we had booked our visit. The listing shows more bathrooms than there actually are. This should be corrected on the listing. Otherwise, everything was great!

Charming, private, multi-layered space with a gorgeous view east across Coral Bay to East End and BVIs in the background. The main bed area is an open loft above the living area so it’s perfect for a couple (but not ideal for a group). Kitchen well appointed if a bit small. The space has a cooler vibe and more attention to detail than others we’ve stayed at in St. John. Lovely landscaping with orchids and native flowers and an inviting back terrace completes the picture. Great location right near the Coral Bay shops and restaurants on the quieter end of the island. Totally relaxing - if that’s what you’re looking for.

This stunning home was the perfect base for our week in St. John. It was close to Coral Bay’s restaurants, Salt Pond, and an easy (albeit crazy roads) ride to all of the beautiful beaches. The view and privacy would be hard to beat. The hot tub and outdoor shower were amazing. We did laundry a couple of times which was great. The property manager was fantastic. We hope to return!

This is the perfect house for a couple. It has a one bedroom loft and also a separate unit that you can pay extra for if you have another couple or some kids.
The house is very well equipped. Everything you need. We LOVE the view from the deck so much that we cooked dinner every night so we could eat on the deck. There are not as many restaurants available on this side of the island. There are a few but the house has everything you need to prepare dinner. And you get the perfect view of the moon rise! The few restaurants that are on this side are all excellent.
If you have been to St John you know that there are many goats that wander the island. The owners have nice fencing around the house that keep the goats out of the yard. You can hear them and occasionally see them outside the fence but they are not at your door which is nice. Very private location. Beautiful landscaping.
If you enjoy snorkeling, the beaches on this side of St John are the best for that. Visit Salt Pond, Haulover and Hanson. Little Lamshure is an adventure and you need a 4 wheel jeep but its a must do.
We love St John and we will coming back to Seawing again and again!

The property was both beautiful and comfortable for our almost two week stay. The house is attractively furnished and well-maintained, with many different places to relax outdoors, like decks, patios and a hammock. There were both sunny and shady places to enjoy St. John's awesome weather. I loved the garden's beautiful flowers.
Both beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for light cooking. The weather was on the cooler side, so the loft bedroom was very comfortable at night without A/C, but not sure how it would be in the summer. The enormous screen doors let in lots of fresh air and kept things cool.
Dena was friendly and helpful with check in. The house is well-located in Coral Bay, near restaurants and a market, and near enough to the water that you can hear the surf--really a perfect location.

The property was just beautiful. It was exactly as shown in the pictures. It has a beautiful view of the bay and the home was very well equipped with everything you need. Very steep driveway like other reviews said and is definitely not for the faint of heart. A jeep should have no problem getting up it though.

We stayed at Seawing for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect home base for us as we explored St. John. We loved the full moon views over the bay from the patio, as well as the sunrises from the lofted bedroom. The kitchen was small but very well-stocked, and we enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning (then eating it out on the patio with our coffee – so nice!).
The driveway was an adventure :) but so are all of the roads in St. John! We drove into Cruz Bay a couple of nights for dinner, and we loved how peaceful it felt coming back to our little secluded spot in Coral Bay. Yet it was a super quick drive to get to multiple markets, restaurants (we went to Skinny Legs twice!), and trails (the Johnny Horn trail was maybe 3 minutes away).
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better stay and hope to get back to Seawing again someday!

Return trip to Seawing. Great communication with the owner. Everything you need is available, beach stuff, kitchen appliances and space to cook. Love the location on the private side of the island waking up to chickens and goats. Beautiful sunrises from the deck while you drink your coffee. Will be back!

My husband and I spent a week at Seawing celebrating his 60th birthday. We couldn't have had a better time. Tropical storm Earl tried and failed to put a damper on things, and we actually enjoyed the rain which made the waterfall flow! Snorkeling in the rain is a new experience for me. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was amazing. Tammy was super helpful and made us feel welcomed and I can't say enough about the view.

First, but not the last time to visit St John! Our stay at Seawing was wonderful. Clean, well stocked, and beautiful view of Coral Bay through all of the windows the property has. Dena, the property manager, was pleasant and extremely helpful. Our arrival was delayed a day due to airline issues but Dena made sure we didn’t miss a day of our vacation. Even with a late arrival she gave us a tour of the property and made sure we were settled in after our long flight.
My only complaint is the neighboring area driving to the property. It’s not the most pleasant to look at or smell. You can still see some damage from hurricane Irma and the drive to the location takes you past the local dump. Don’t let this deter you from experiencing this amazing property. It’s a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the breath taking beaches, local bars, and wildlife of St John. We are definitely placing St John on our list of must visit locations.

Beautiful house with a stunning view. We spent all of our time at the house at on the wonderful balcony enjoying the view. The bedrooms are accessed from the outside, and are separate from the upstairs, which I somehow did not notice looking at the property online. Also, there is no air conditioning upstairs, just the ceiling fans and breezes, which I think is common on St John. The two bedrooms have ac , and are very comfortable. The property has some lovely plantings , including a gorgeous plumeria. We enjoyed the plunge pool and the beautiful outdoors shower (there are two total).We enjoyed seeing and listening to the goats roaming the property. Close to beaches and quiet. The drive to Cruz is 25 mins, so maybe not ideal for someone looking for busy nightlife. The quieter side of the island is just what we were looking for, and there are a handful of restaurants too.

House has great views, is very private and is located close to Coral Bay. Home was also fully stocked so we could cook our own meals if we wanted. Calabash market nearby sells fresh fish if you like to cook your own. Hot tub was a plus. Would definitely stay here again!

3rd Visit to St. John
This was our 3rd visit to St. John in the last 4 years, and definitely our best accommodations! The property is everything you can imagine, and more! The owners have thought of everything from the layout to the furnishings, to the linens and accessories; there is no detail that has been overlooked. The on-island contact (Dena) was wonderful! Very accessible and helpful. The entire 2-week experience was just exccellent!

Great Coral Bay retreat
This was our 8th trip to beautiful St. John. We’ve stayed at several houses on coral bay and this one was “just right.” The views were great, we loved the sunrise in the morning. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower and the hot tub was a great treat at night. The landscaping is lovely. We liked the privacy this house offered, being at end of a dead end road. One of our favorite things about the house was the close proximity to “town.” We could be to skinnys in about 5-6 minutes. Both the owners and caretaker were quick to respond to any questions. Overall a really nice stay. We’ll be back!

The Best One
After renting a different cottage each year for a long time, Seaview is the best. Gorgeous views from the front and a beautiful garden in the back with complete privacy makes this my favorite. The location and accessibility are great. I will definitely come back.

From the first time we pulled up the driveway, we knew we were in for something special. Seawing is beautiful. The views from anywhere in the villa are spectacular. Both decks and the bed offer the best sunrise and moonrise you can experience. The tropical back patio with the hot tub, hummingbirds and grill was a great place to absorb the island. We ended up spending a lot of time just relaxing and enjoying Seawing along with exploring St. John. We will have this experience in our mind forever. This was our 25th stay on St. John, first at Seawing.

Perfection.
We had the luxury of a 7 day stay at Seawing this past summer and can’t say enough about this property and our experience. We booked this vacation approximately a month pre-pandemic for summer of 2020. The owners were incredibly flexible about allowing us to change dates and we were able to rebook for this summer. The property is stunning and absolutely perfect. We never wanted to leave! Hands down my favorite trip to the island thus far. Dena is absolutely amazing and was a great help from before we set foot on the island to our last moments, reassuring us that we wouldn’t miss our flight ;) Extremely clean, incredibly private, well-equipped, outstanding views, AC was a bonus, as was the hot tub that we took full advantage of. We have so much love for this island and this lovely little villa!

It was just as I'd dreamed about for over 2 years. Cozy and comfy, with obvious thought being put into providing anything at all you'd need. Wild goats & chickens roam around the outskirts of the property...great entertainment. Seawing is beautiful and restorative. I would definitely recommend it and go back. Oh, and I love the Coral Bay side.
