We had a family reunion and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome. Some weren’t able to attend last minute but we had 20 people which meant we had a ton of space! One thing to keep in mind is this location is past the jumping bridge so don’t reserve a double decker boat. We were lucky that the marina had another boat to accommodate the bridge. The kids loved the slide and jumping off the top of the deck, it was a fabulous time!

Great place. Had a great time. The lake is awesome. The dock is heavenly. House is huge. Kitchen is awesome too.

Big house - need more toilet paper Add tissues to each bathroom Add wall hooks in every room or stand alone closets. Some rooms had very very little space to hang clothes. One bottle of hand soap in every bath. Add electric to dock. If not at least to dock steps.

We spent MLK weekend for our family Christmas getaway. We are all cooks so having 2 fridges, 2 sinks, 2 stoves, 2 dishwashers and 2 microwaves made meal prep easier.

The kitchen with double ovens and refrigerators, the amount of space, bedrooms, bathrooms was awesome! We had plenty of room. The hot tub with the fire place so nearby was convenient. The owner was a great communicator. The whole cove had a friendly respectful vibe. We loved our stay and would go back every summer.

Great place for kayakers and close to the jumping bridge and marina. The house had plenty of room for everyone! Nice game room for that one rainy night! Thanks for a great family get away!!

We chose this house because of the number of bedrooms and the online pictures. Would we stay there again? It wouldn’t be our first choice. The management team was great to work with, but they are managing a house that has seen lots of traffic and needs updates and tender loving care. Some are simple fixes - deep pocket sheets that stay on the bed all night for all the beds would be wonderful. Others updates will take more time and money - like repairing stair treads with nailheads poking through and replacing carpet that has seen better days; sticky doors, a bathroom doorknob that doesn’t lock; and perhaps updated kitchen appliances. They are very honest about the freezers inability to make ice on move in day. By midweek we had full ice buckets. There are two dishwashers, only one worked while we were there. There is a four slice toaster, only 2 of the slots worked. The master bath is beautiful, but the drain plug on the tub doesn’t work. So for us, it was a nice house, but…. However, we were impressed with the cleanliness, the large capacity washer and dryer, the well stocked kitchen cupboards - plenty of utensils, small kitchen appliances, LOTS of coffee mugs, and having 2 coffee pots was clutch. The guys loved all the TV’s. The outdoor furniture was ok. It was nice to have a dozen or so chairs by the fire pit, the dock area could use some updated furniture. We knew the house was at the end of a cove, but be forewarned, it takes at least 10 minutes to get to open water - and then you’ll need to slow down again because of the traffic at the jumping bridge. The jumping bridge was lots of fun for the brave-hearted in our crew! Ultimately for us vacation is about the people you are with, a house this size allowed us to spend a week with people we love. For that we are very thankful.

The house was great and the cove was fantastic! We loved the dock and the rope swing! So many good memories were made!

Had a great time with family and friends. Loved the deck on the dock! We had a large group and the large kitchen was a great feature for everyone to be together.

Enjoyed sitting out on every level. Game room was the best entertainment, 3 TVs.. Having double refrigerators & stoves was awesome. Thanks for allowing us to stay at Cedar Cove.

Great Vacay at this home

The rental property was everything as described, we experienced a wonderful White Christmas with family and friends. It was definitely a trip full of making memories during these pandemic times.

The house was great for our family of 30. The swimming was great, adequate sleeping room, games, and general room to hang out. The house needs some attention to fix up several little things. It also could use a deep cleaning. That said we all had a great time.

Our family, from all over the country, just completed a Fantastic Vacation Reunion at "Cedar Cove". The nine bedroom, six bath home was everything we had hoped for. The large kitchen and dining area allowed plenty of room for our family of 17. Nine additional family members that we had allowed for could not make it, but it would have easily accommodated them and more. Your home was very clean, beds were comfortable and your dock area was fantastic for our jet ski and pontoon boat. The kids enjoyed the slide and jumping off the top deck. The Lake was the nicest one we have ever traveled and the adults spent days of enjoyment traveling over 800 miles of coastlines. We would highly recommend your property to all families that want to reunite at a fantastic location.

Comfortable, spacious with lots of bedrooms. Outdoor decks allowed for eating outside and social distancing for us. 40 stairs to dock, far fewer than many of the vacation homes. Two story dock was lots of fun for the family. Cove water was comfortably warm for just floating.

Everything went as smooth as expected and the Owner was very responsive and accommodating. We had a great time! Thank you John

Cedar Cove was absolutely perfect for our large family reunion! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacey and just as described. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we ranged from ages 10-75. Loved having two stoves, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and two kitchen sinks in the same space. There was plenty of room for everyone to eat together and enjoy indoor time together. The large gas grill and fabulous dock brought the great outdoors to us. Televisions were everywhere and we all could watch movies and games together. If there was a complaint it would have been that the water in the lake was very low and we did not feel comfortable using the slide on the dock because not enough depth In lake and lots of logs and rocks sticking up. We realize that VRBO had no control of that but should we come again we would try to determine earlier what the lake situation would be. Definitely would recommend.

Great location, very nice property.

It was great to have 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 ovens/ stoves for our large group. There were ample bedrooms and baths. Washer and dryer were relatively new and nice. The dock was also very nice. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. He gave us great directions for finding the place. Another plus is that there are only about 50 steps from lower level of house to boat dock. Some homes are located up multiple stairs but this one is not and we appreciated that. The biggest disappointment was that the home was a little shabby. Some upper bunk bed’s underlining was falling down, lamps by bedsides didn’t work or were not provided, and the house could use some major sprucing up. The houses in the cove are close together and some groups stayed up very late with loud parties. Others got up early and raced their remote control boats— at 6:30 am. Even though the house needs some TLC, we had a fun week and enjoyed our time there.

Had a little communication problem but all worked out in the end.

The men's group from our church stayed for its annual retreat. The cabin had plenty of space for us and a great view. With a large dining area we were even able to sit around one table for our meals. We would definitely return!

Very accommodating and spacious!

Our group had a great time at cedar cove. Lots and lots of room, huge kitchen area with double ovens and sinks make it easy to prep big meals. Access to the water is easy as well. We loved the fire pit and hot tub area and spent a lot of our time there. Be aware that cell service is basically zero, but if you go to the entrance to the neighborhood, it picks up. There is a landline in the cabin. The wifi was a little spotty in my experience, so I suggest you download any music or playlists before coming to the cabin. These are minor issues of course, and not really negatives, it's just something to be aware of when you're in any rural area. Being able to bring our dogs was a huge plus. It was great to have them with us. My group is already thinking about getting the place again in the summer. Really recommend if you have a big group.

Awesome!!! Stay, Surroundings, Climate all were Awesome! This is one of the most memorable Holiday Gateway we had. 7 Families, 11 kids, we had blast! Except that we have to carry our own soap-n-shampoo, everything else was neat and clean.

The fire pit is a great addition and allows room for games and such before the stairs to the water!

Cedar Grove was a huge hit for 25 of us to get together. We had 4 generations together for 5 days, 8 were under 10 years of age. The place was clean and it had lots to do for the children. 6 big TV's, some for games some for kids to watch their stuff, which made it good for the adults to be able to watch March Madness or whatever. Nice big kitchen so we could store our food and serve everyone. Stores nearby for getting things we forgot or could not transport. Wi-fi was okay, but lots of cell phones and ipads going on all the time. We were there in mid to late March, so the dock was not in place, too cold to swim. Lots to do around the area if you are the outdoorsy type. That was not really our focus, but available. Felt like the management team was really good, and available. Not sure we ever saw the trash pickup service. Being from Indiana, we had not travelled the roads like we did to get to Cedar Cove in quite a while. Beware of the last 5 miles, talk about over river and through the woods. The house had all that we needed, was the home base for wonderful family getaway. My parents are 91 & 92, the whole point was to be able to get everyone together so we could treasure our time with them. SUCCESS!
