Beautiful setting in the canyon with the creek and a quaint little cabin that fit our needs well. Lots of trails to explore and animals to see.

This was our second time staying here. We stayed for four days in December. It was really wonderful and exactly as we remembered! Very scenic and cozy and a great way to relax at the end of a hectic year. We mostly stayed at the cabin, sharing meals and talking and occasionally walking near the cabin. In a non-snowy time of year, we might have brought mini bikes, the property offers lots of opportunities for exploration. There is enough internet to check email or browse online but if you want to watch movies, bring DVDs or download them beforehand (we did the latter). I really appreciated that even with heavy snow during a couple of days, the roads were kept plowed and clear enough to drive in our 4WD truck (you will probably need AWD/4WD if you stay during lots of snow though :) ). One thing to note is the power went out a couple of times. One time might’ve been me (turned up a space heater) and one time was some sort of system glitch. It’s not a big deal (the wood stove provides the heat and the owner fixed it quickly both times) but if you have a real need for consistent power (such as maybe a medical device), be aware of this and bring a backup power source.

It was to hot, the cabin doesn’t have ac or something like that only have a fan in the ceiling, The hot water for bathing runs out very quickly, and the light went out at 10:00 in the morning. 😞

We had a blast here! Very accommodating. Johnathan was easy to contact and very friendly. We had a great time! We came with our 3 boys, 13, 6, 2 and they loved every single minute.

We had a fantastic time! The property is unbelievably beautiful. Saw lots of wildlife.

Amazing property with a lot to discover and enjoy! It was awesome having a parents cabin and a kids bunk house all right next to each other. The kids loved playing in the creek and hiking! The cabin and property were very quiet and we felt like we had the whole mountain to ourselves even though the owners are close and willing to help if we needed anything. The only complaint we had is the WiFi is spotty at best, we didn’t go for the WiFi so it wasn’t a huge issue for us but just something to note.

Lovely location. Clean and charming cabin. Only thing missing was the stove. May have missed that detail. Would have planned a different breakfast menu.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I live in a city and I wanted to unplug and unwind for my 40th birthday celebration. We had no service and limited WiFi, which forced my kiddos to also unplug. We absolutely loved the "hot tub" took us a minute to figure out where to get the water from, but once we did it was where we spent most of our time. Splitting our own wood was a workout, but I am proud I got pretty good at it. A lot of the wood was still too knew and wet so was not splitting, luckily there were some bigger pieces that were more dry. We had the property all to ourselves, next time we will have to bring ATV's or quads...but it was so awesome! We will definitely be booking with them again.

This was the perfect getaway right before our daughter’s wedding. The guys had a great time sitting around the fire and the hot tub. We will be coming back here.

Great hunting location. The cabin has all the modern amenities. The owner was responsive and provided great detail of the whole ranch.. Road signs in the middle of the forest is a great touch. Plenty of wild life to watch…

This was the perfect getaway for me and my family. Plenty of places to hike and explore, a pond full of little trout, And a beautiful place to watch the sunset.

Great get away, looking to maybe book for hunting season

Absolutely beautiful property, quiet and very private. Wood fired hot tub was fun and the kids loved looking for rocks and frogs around the ponds. The cabin had everything we needed for 3 great days away. And the trout in the ponds were eager to take a dry fly! Lots of fun even in the heat, we'll be back!

Cabin and bunk house powered by solar and hydro, with fresh, potable water enabled us to relax in this remote, off the grid location. Owners were very responsive. Motorbikes: the last 2 miles are gravel but we took it easy and had no problems. Nearest gas / store is 12 miles away in Fruitland, so plan accordingly.

The property manager was very friendly and accommodating. Any small hiccup we had in check-in was remedied right away. The location was beautiful. Excellent for a few days to get away from it all. Wifi was nice to have for emergencies. We brought our 3 year old, she loved the toys and the swing that came with the cabin. We really appreciate that small addition. The beautiful stream, wildflowers, and many varieties of butterflies also kept her very busy. Air conditioning would have been nice, I would have seen staying longer than 3 nights with that. That would be my only request here. We knew that going in though.

We had a lovely time at Jonathan's cabins! Will certainly be returning. Nicely remote, breathtaking views, incredible starry nights, very comfortable mattresses. As an aside, there is Verizon service there, but no AT&T or TMobile, however the wifi was very reasonable for the basics if you are so inclined. Wood and propane was provided as well!

Had a great time in the woods for the weekend. Saw turkeys, grouse and deer. Great place to unwind. Jon was great and I would come back.

We had a blast at this property. It was super relaxing. The owner was incredibly responsive throughout our stay. When we ran out of firewood, a giant pile of nicely stacked wood just seemed to appear! The hot tub was a highlight. The kids loved splashing around in it. We also enjoyed finding rocks in the creek. Tips for others - Basic groceries are fairly close but if you want fresh stuff for grilling then bring it with you.
