We have used vacation rentals for years. The Casita is in our top 5! Peggy and Tom have thought of everything, including a big bottle of cold water that we were so grateful to find on arrival and , a big one in my book, 2, yes 2 luggage racks! The place is beautiful, immaculate and so very comfortable. The surrounding gardens are gorgeous and we were delighted to see humming birds right outside the window. We highly recommend this beautiful Casita!

We absolutely loved the cottage and the convenience of walking to downtown Encinitas. The property was immaculate, cozy, and had everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The communication with Tom was excellent...he made sure that we had everything we needed. We can't wait to return for a longer visit!

Not only is the cleanest, loveliest, coziest, and best located abode I've rented, but the Cozens thought of everything I could possibly need for my stay. The beautiful park, just a stone's throw away, was inviting for walking and exploring, and the location is perfect for a stroll to the beach or downtown Encinitas. The outside of the casita was lovely and the surrounding plants attracted a wide range of butterflies and birds. This place is truly exceptional. I'll be back.

Every time we walk in the door, we are home. Every thing is clean and in it’s place, location can’t be beat and off street parking is a bonus.

Where do I begin.....Thank you Tom & Peggy for allowing us to stay at your beautiful casita. It truly is a gem. We did not have to want for anything! Utterly spotless, so comfortable, quiet and very roomy with every attention to detail unsurpassed. The location is unmatched with a short walk thru the park down to Coast Hwy to a bevy of restaurants and the beach. We surely hated to leave and we will be booking again for next year!!

What a pleasure to spend a week in this darling Casita! It rained our first visit but this time lovely weather that allowed us to sit out in the patio and just relax. Enjoyed chatting with Tom some and checking out all the lovely plants and landscaping. We look forward to our next visit!

My wife and I had the most relaxing and enjoyable week staying in this beautiful bungalow. The owners are great, so communicative and welcoming. I only wish that we could have stayed longer. Hoping that we get a chance to come back again soon.

Tom was the perfect host. We loved everything about the casita. Location, location location! Walked everywhere. Bonus was the Pickleball courts were a 2 minute walk! Can’t wait to return next year.

We absolutely loved our stay! The casita is adorable and the location is so peaceful and quiet. We loved hanging out on the patio and going to the park daily. The succulent garden is an added bonus to the ambiance of it. The beach is a 5 min drive and we were able to see dolphins which was so cool! The owners were wonderful and so kind and checked in on us to ensure we were having a good stay. We will definitely be back!

The description of this property is spot on. The owners are spot on. The thoughtfulness is extraordinary. The cleanliness was phenomenal. If you don’t stay here, you’re missing out on a superb location. Steps from a lovely park and a few blocks from the effervescent downtown of Encinitas and the wonderful Moonlight Beach. The property has two comfortable outdoor areas, lovely cross breezes with the windows or doors open, and an overall extremely peaceful ambiance. We’ve been renting properties for 10 years or more and this one was fantastic in every single way! Stay here and become a fan yourself! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another wonderful stay at Cottonwood Casita. A beautiful property inside and out with a gorgeous garden. Provisioned with everything you need and more! The owners have considered all the details like quality linens and paper products to even a foam roller in the yoga studio! Excellent location, walking distance to grocery, shopping/restaurants on the 101, and beach. Thank you, Tom and Peggy, for sharing your space and providing a blissful retreat for us travellers.

Cutest property inside and out on a quiet dead-end street. The house was perfect for a relaxing getaway! Household amenities were perfect plus a great outdoor firepit and sunny reading porch. About a 10-15 walk from the beach and the 101, lined with every restaurant you could desire. Nice, communicative owners and smooth process. On my list to stay again!

My husband and myself enjoyed the lovely casita the first time, we booked again! My favorite part was hanging out on the patio! So very nice! The location is the best. Close enough to everything, but away from the crowds.
Loved being able to walk down to the beach, coffee shops, shopping and restaurants. Perfect place!

Owners (Tom and Peggy) were very welcoming and communication was excellent. The cottage is lovely and private and clean. Well-appointed and lots of thoughtful details. My wife really enjoyed the little yoga studio each morning. Location was perfect for us as an easy walk into town or to the beach through a great park at the end of the street.

Absolutely by far the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. Tom and Peggy have created as close to perfection a hideaway in a beautiful location. Other reviewers have said they will be back—no lie, we will be back also.

The house is cute, well furnished with thoughtful details to make your stay comfortable. Tom was very attentive and gave us great advice on restaurants, hikes and what to do in Encinitas. We walked through the park to the main street and the grocery store. We loved the walkability to everything we needed. Encinitas and the surrounding area had lots of things to do. This was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed in. Would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thom and Peggy’s. We spent close to 4 weeks over the Christmas holidays at the house which was perfect. The house is so charming with a lovely fireplace we used often. There is a well appointed kitchen where we cooked many meals. There is a great park nearby with pickle ball courts. The outdoor space is beautifully landscaped with a great gas fire unit, great for hanging out. Centrally located but also super quiet, Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas is only a 15 minute walk from the house.
We couldn’t have asked for anything better!!!

Happy to return to this sweet spot! Tom and Peggy are excellent hosts, and the cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Encinitas has to offer with an easy walk to the beach and town. The cottage is spanking clean and nicely appointed with everything you might need for an extended stay.
I love how they have a cache of games, puzzles, beach toys, etc for guests to enjoy while they visit! We have loved our stays here and look forward to returning soon... highly recommend

As full-time caregivers, we look for a vacation where we can completely relax. With the great location, proximity to the beach and great Encinitas dining spots, this checked all those boxes.

An ideal home base for a beach getaway. It has everything you need, including: washer & dryer, outdoor shower to rinse of the beach, plus a large shower in the bathroom, a well-appointed cute kitchen, and outdoor spaces to relax, all beautifully landscaped and designed. The house is always immaculately cleaned, and the host has thoughtfully set up extra beds for our daughters prior to our arrival. It is peaceful and private, but if you do seek out meeting the hosts, Tom and Peggy are wonderful! Five stars!

The cottage was really charming and every detail was thought through! Unfortunately the first night we were without electricity in the middle of a heat wave. The owners let us know before hand that the power would go out ( we figured we would be fine for 10 hrs. with California weather how bad could it be? It ended up being a much bigger deal as we were unable to sleep dso to the heat and therefore ended up sleeping once the AC was restored. We lost a day. So needless to say that was a real disappointment.

Very cozy and comfortable. Enjoyed the patio area just as much as the inside. Everything, and more, was provided. The information book was appreciated, too. Location was a plus, with everything, especially the beach, so close. Excellent! Would highly recommend. Thank you Tom and Peggy!

The property and cottage are well maintained. Shaded patio has comfortable seating that is surrounded by beautiful plants and shrubs. Having off-street parking is also a plus.

Absolutely perfect
We had the most lovely time at cottonwood casita! Peggy and Tom were the ideal hosts and the space lacked for nothing. Every detail was considered - we went to the beach and they even had a selection of coolers and ice packs for us! The outdoor garden and patio space was especially lovely and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your casita with us!

This is a wonderful beach cottage with great amenities and well appointed furnishings. Beautifully decorated with everything you need to enjoy your Encinitas beach vacation. The owners are friendly and attentive to details. The outdoor patio with fire pit and string lights were nice to enjoy in the evenings and the outdoor shower comes in handy after a day at the beach. The location is perfect to enjoy shopping, dinning and the beach. We look forward to another stay in the future!
