Our stay was wonderful for the older family members it was hard for them to get in out of the pool it needed a hand rail . One of the tiles fell on the bed it was downstairs there was a water leak from one of the bathrooms upstairs that caused it but it didn't take no time for someone to come out to fix the problem . I'm going to say this it just like your own house things tear up things happen it will not prevent me to not rent this property again it was very convenient to the beach it kept the kids happy with the pool we loved it

This traditional beach cottage was perfect for our small group. It wasn't anything fancy but was clean and had a wonder location! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

This is a great little beach house. The kitchen is stocked with enough pots and pans (even a slow cooker) so you can easily cook meals instead of going out. The house is in a great location and the pool is always a nice option to have for when the ocean is too rough.

we really enjoyed our stay at the "Hidden Treasure." Absolutely loved the pool to just float around in and relax after fighting the waves in the ocean 😀 Just a really relaxing week. The owner was very easy to communicate with and got back to me with any questions. Only had a small problem with the back door doorknob not wanting to lock because it was loose. Beth had somebody out right away to fix it. Overall it was a wonderful experience ☺

We were so looking forward to our first vacation in almost 2 years over Mother’s Day week. The house seemed to be falling apart, we saw multiple bugs, the downstairs smelled strongly like pesticides, and there was a mouse trap underneath one of the beds. All of this we would have overlooked. We knew the house was dated and weren’t expecting anything fancy. But the pool was supposed to be heated, and I even asked about it before we left and they said everything would be good. As soon as we got there we noticed the pool was ICE cold and after we sent multiple messages, we did not get a reply until the next day, after we had called the property management company (they tried to charge us a large fee to use the pool, which we had already paid). The homeowner came out to check the pool heater for 5 minutes, said he would call someone to come fix it, and in 7 days no one ever came to fix it. I asked multiple times over the next several days and emphasized that we had two little kids that really wanted to swim, and the ocean is cold in early May and that the only reason we spent so much money to rent the house was because of the heated pool. Although they apologized, there seemed to be little to no concern on their part to fix this important issue. It seemed like they didn’t even care at all. And apparently this wasn’t the first time that happened because they said that this happens sometimes after storms, yet no one made an effort to check it the day of our visit to make sure it was working. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating to say the least to spend a week with a pool that we could barely even use. Every time the kids got in for a minutes, they had blue lips and were shivering. If they would’ve just made a little more of an effort to make it right, it would’ve made such a difference. It really put a damper on our vacation and I would definitely check to make 100% sure the pool heater is working if you go outside of the summer months. :(

Absolutely the most perfect little spot for the off season when the ocean is still too cold to enjoy swimming in. The pool was warm, clean, and inviting! The house had beautiful views and everything we needed! So great, wish it was mine :)

We had a great time here. The only real downfall we had was the washer and dryer being down stairs and we had to go outside to get to it.

This was hands-down one of our favorite vacations with friends and kids. The location couldn’t be better—the private pool was amazing (once we figured out the heating temp features) and you are steps away from your own private beach access. We had two families, each with two kids (ages 3-6), and because of the pool and beach access, it made it easy to enjoy the outdoors, kept the kids busy, and allowed grown-ups to relax! The inside space is nothing fancy, but that was perfect for us. We would recommend having a few more hooks or shelves in lower bathroom for towels/kits. The neighbors on both sides were so friendly and gave great fishing tips! The host was so responsive to our questions. I would also recommend they have a guest info book or something to explain WiFi, pool instructions, maybe best restaurants nearby, etc. I felt like I was pestering the host with questions, but like I said, she was always quick to respond! We will definitely be visiting this place again!

Beth was great at responding to my questions. This property has the ideal location; just a few steps and you're on the beach. It has a pool which was much needed in the summer. The house layout worked for our group but we only had one small child with us. They were quick to fix issues we had with the house. We didn't need a dishwasher but it didn't work. Maybe that could be fixed in the future. A welcome pack with house codes, internet, trash days, etc., would have been a great resource to have before arriving so I didn't feel like I was bothering Beth while she was also vacationing :). The down side was bugs. They did come and spray. I think that happens easier to houses that are not off the ground. We would stay here again. The price for the location and a pool, beats out fancy beach houses every time for me. Thanks Beth!

Great home for a budget and still be on the ocean front. Pool and deck area is very useful for families with small kids and the pool is a good spot when they don't want the beach any longer. Clean, quiet, and plenty of space.

This was the perfect house and perfect location for our family. Unfortunately, it was rainy, rough weather and jellyfish season. So the pool was a blessing and perfect for our family. The house was clean and well taken care of...would definitely visit again!

We really loved our stay and had a great time. When we arrived Thursday we found the outdoor trash can was full and I wrote in to see what day trash ran but never received a response. Maybe that date should be included in the information on the listing because we would have happily taken the can to the side of the road and realize the owner can't really do it themselves while people are staying. Regardless, we ended up having to just stack our own trash outside and felt awful doing so! The pool was a treat and the view was wonderful. The neighbors are very friendly as well!

My daughter and son and I with my three grandchildren came to stay for five days. The house is small but well-equipped and a perfect location on the beach plus an amazing swimming pool that is heated. We truly enjoyed our stay there and will come back in the future.

Very pleased with our stay at this awesome little beach house. The pool was great, especially on days that the ocean was too choppy for smaller children. This home is in an excellent location. The beach wasn't crowded at all. The house was immaculately clean upon our arrival and the kitchen was well stocked. The rental price is very affordable compared to other front row houses. The only thing I feel the house needs are exhaust fans in the bathroom. We hope to rent this home again next summer.

This beach front home is full of character and personality. Everything is centrally located with plenty of indoor/outdoor space to enjoy. Plenty of linens and towels were available for us upon arrival. The owner made sure to step us through the process all the way until she knew we were settled in (to include weather reporting on an upcoming storm). Beth's quality of serving up a cozy home, hospitality & door to door assists make her pretty unique in our book! She truly cared that we had a wonderful stay & went above and beyond. My husband and I plan on making regular returns to this sweet beach front gem. We might even take our boys along - maybe!! I highly recommend this property - it hits the marks on affordability, comfort and good ole beach living. Thanks so much!!!

Depending on the listing, may be listed as two bedroom/ one bath or four bedroom/ two bath. The top floor has two bedrooms & one bath. The lower level has two bedrooms, one bath, however there is no way to go between levels without going outside, there is no interior stairwell. Listed as handicap accessible, only if you have a strong person to help the handicapped up the steep ramp to the pool level. My handicapped wife would never have made it without my help to get her up the ramp. Note that you can see the pool steps in the photograph, be aware that the steps are 12-inches high and there is no railing to hold on to get out of the pool, NOT handicap accessible. The refrigerator was installed into an unfinished closet that contained the furnace. The refrigerator would not freeze, even after two days allowing for stabilization, the property owner came to the house, adjusted the temperature setting (like we don't how to do that) and said that her husband would deliver a new refrigerator; it never happened. There were bugs in the house. The owner dismissed that as "its just water bugs, they are everywhere on the beach", Seeing a 2-inch palmetto bug scurry across the living room wall is not comforting. The owner did have an exterminator spray the lower level due to our respiratory concerns of spaying the upper level. Roach Motels caught three cockroaches and four palmetto bugs between the kitchen, living room and bedroom. The property appears to have once been a one or two bedroom cottage. This is someone's weekend project done poorly to add bedrooms, there isn't a level floor in the house, the workmanship in construction is deficient and I seriously wonder if Holden Beach has any kind of Occupancy Inspection for properties. Casual observation revealed, the front and back door had air gaps up to 1/2-inch due to poor installation. A downstairs bedroom window had a sagging window pane that had a 1/2-inch gap open to the outside. Two downstairs window frames were severely rotted on the outside. Seven 120 volt wires were wire nutted, taped together or ended without an electrical box. Four electrical boxes and a light switch were missing covers and wires hung loosely, not secured to the structure. The wiring deficiencies make the place a fire trap. I have photographs that document every one of these items. We have stayed at Holden for over 20 years, never had a bad place like this one. Only redeeming part was the weather was beautiful all week

We just returned from an awesome trip to Holden Beach. This was our first time going to Holden and it definitely won't be our last! We loved the beach, the great restaurants, fun beach stores, and the delicious ice-cream. As much as we loved the island, we didn't feel like Hidden Treasure was the perfect fit for our family. There were several great things about this house including the awesome pool. We had small children and the gates around the pool were so appreciated as well. We could let the boys hang out on the upper deck and not worry about them wandering close to the pool without an adult to help them open the gate. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for a great low country boil and other meals. The sheets were on the beds when we arrived which was such a relief after a full day of driving to not have to make the beds. On the other hand, we were really excited about this house because it looked so handicapped friendly. We have an aunt who comes with us that uses a walker and she usually has a hard time getting around. We thought this house would be so friendly to her with all the ramps but it was not. The house had ramps but getting to the ramps from the driveway was difficult. There is no paved path from the driveway to the ramps so she had to walk through a path of sand that was not easy to navigate in a walker. I am not sure if she had been in a wheelchair that she would have been able to get through it. Also,we knew that the house was separated into an upstairs and a downstairs but we didn't realize how isolating it was. There was no way to communicate from one floor to the other. This wouldn't have been a problem if we had wi-fi to text each other but there was no internet and my phone didn't have a good signal. Finally, we are by no means beach house snobs but the house (especially downstairs) were lacking simple necessities that you would expect in a house like towel hooks, toilet paper holders, and small trash cans. These few small items would have made a big difference in our comfort level. Overall we loved Holden Beach but Hidden Treasure is not the perfect beach house for us.

Awesome spot for a beach house! Awesome private pool! Awesome private boardwalk to beach! Awesome all around. Only thing needed: Outside light by downstairs door under back porch! Will return to same house next year hopefully!!! Loved it.
