What a beautiful place to spend our Colorado Christmas! Such a cozy, sweet house! The location was perfect to walk into town and get a delicious dinner or hot coffee and yummy breakfast in the AM!

A great place to stay in Crested Butte. Super location - quiet block very near all town attractions. Comfortable beds and super well stocked kitchen. Upstairs main bedroom suite was great. We were in town for my son’s wedding and great backyard and deck served as a wonderful place to sit and visit with family who came in for wedding. We would love to stay here again when we return for another visit.

For those looking to stay at this property - please note that that the bedroom with the bunk bed is extremely small... not much space to move around.
The bunk bed is only suitable for very small children. Our 6-year old slept on the bottom bunk, but it was such a low clearance that she would hit her head when trying to sit up or get in/out of the bed.
Additionally - the back door of the home is in this same bedroom - which I will admit, was a bit unsettling being that our children were sleeping in this room.
All in all - a great stay!

This was our second stay at Kate’s place so we were familiar with the house. Everything was just as it had been the previous stay a year prior. Thanks for having us.

House was great and worked perfectly for our group. 80 year old grandma was able to get in and around using cane and walker. 1st floor bedroom was a perfect space for her which was our primary concern. Upstairs master worked well preparing for the wedding with multiple mirrors and space to spread out. Exterior deck with table and umbrella was utilized as a workspace prepping for the wedding reception. We enjoyed being outdoors while getting the work done.

The best location to walk downtown Crested Butte and catch the shuttle. The property was perfect for my family of 5. It was cozy and warm and perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Kathy was very responsive when we needed to communicate which was appreciated. We will definitely be back when we come to CB again

We drove from East Texas for a wonderful week with our family in Created Butte. Our son has a vacation home nearby, and we were able to have meals at both homes. There were 11 of us and several grand children would occasionally stay overnight. The house was perfect for us. The master bedroom was so nice and roomy. The 2 bedrooms downstairs were small and perfect. We had problems with the internet and the property management company (Mike) promptly came out the day before Thanksgiving and then he contacted Spectrum who’s service man - we think Steve - spent 3 hours Thanksgiving day and fixed the system. We were so grateful!
The kitchen was small and well equipped. The house decor is charming. We will be back to stay in this property.

We loved our stay in this clean and inviting home. The beds were comfortable and the home had everything we needed. The location is excellent as the Elk Street is a short walk from our front door. Communication with our host was quick and she provided plenty of recommendations. We will definitely recommend! Thank you!

This is one of the best VRBO‘s we’ve stayed in. This place is well appointed. Anything you want for is there. Everything is stocked, almost everything you would need for cooking, washing, barbecue. It’s very well located near downtown Crested Butte. Impeccably clean. Kathy is very responsive. you can tell she really cares about this place.

Convenient location, nice home
Our stay at Kate’s Place was nice. We enjoyed being one block from Elk Ave. and all the restaurants and shops. The house was clean and inviting, stocked with towels. Upon arrival we found out that there were numerous rules not mentioned in the listing (unable to open any window freely, leaving blinds a certain way, etc.) that may have been beneficial upfront since we really enjoy letting in the mountain air, though we lucked out with cooler weather. We were also surprised to find that the door to the primary bedroom upstairs was removed thus not allowing for much privacy. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We loved that the house had a few camp chairs to use in the yard. We had a comfortable stay in the master suite upstairs - had the house been full, the lack of a door might have been a bigger deal, but it was just our son downstairs in the bunk room. The home had everything needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms for a comfortable stay. Beautiful natural light. The home stayed cool at night and during the day. We were grateful for the washer and dryer as we had lots of outdoor adventures - it might be helpful to note on the dryer unit that you need to use the time setting rather than the sensor setting. Kathy was great to communicate with and answered all of our questions promptly. We'd happily stay here again.

Great Stay in Crested Butte
Location was excellent and property well kept. Property was well stocked with all items needed to cook meals and had all the luxuries of home. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Crested Butte. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great Location!
The house is well kept and in an amazing location, walkable to everything downtown Crested Butte. My only complaint is the primary bedroom upstairs doesn't have a door, so when people start talking downstairs, you can't sleep. We affectionally nicknamed our niece the rooster as a result of this. Beyond that, our stay was pure magic and the host was extremely responsive!

Great place and the bathtub for two in the master would have been spectacular if there was a door for the master bedroom. I suggest you request that the master bedroom door gets installed before you arrive unless of course you don’t have guests or kids staying downstairs.

We had a wonderful Christmas at Kate’s Place! Kathy was very responsive and easy to communicate with. House is in an awesome location, easy walk to Elk Ave. or 4 way bus stop! Everything was as described, highly recommend!

Darling home with AMAZING location!
This home is just as pictured - cute cottage just one block from the main Elk Avenue in downtown CB. The home has everything you need in the kitchen, laundry, even bandaids/first aid when our little one took a spill. And the owner was very responsive and communicative... it was a great stay and we'd rent it all over again!

We have stayed in many places around the country and around the world - this house was one of the nicer ones. The washing machine sucks, however, so after using it once we decided to take our laundry home with us. We were here to ski, the days were short and the nites were long; had it been summer, blackout curtains would have been appreciated.

Fantastic location and beautiful, spacious home.
We spent Christmas in this home and couldn’t have been happier. There was plenty of room and my mother-in-law never felt “cabin fever” even though she doesn’t ski because she could walk anywhere in town. The living space was also great for us to spend time together and share meals, etc. The master bedroom was gorgeous and had so much room for us - perfect since we had a new baby sleeping there with us. Perhaps the nicest perk of Kate’s place is all the “small things” that you don’t have when traveling are in the house- plenty of toiletries, paper towels, tissues, garbage bags, etc. It made our stay so comfortable and convenient! Highly recommend this house to anyone and we hope to visit again soon!

Wonderful Vintage Home with the best location in town!
Everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked which makes it easy to prepare meals. Great little deck with a table and grill. Nice views of the mountains in every direction. You can walk a block for great expresso, coffee and more. Fab dinning is a few blocks away.Hop on your bike and take a ride out to peanut lake and you feel like you are in the wilderness and yet you are still just moments from town. Paved bike trails take you all over or put your bike on the free bus to the top of the mountain and ride down. So much going on in town that it is hard to choose what you want to do and you can walk to most events. A great family town...just the best!

Great house and perfect location
Perfect house. Clean, well equipped. We cooked all meals and kitchen was perfect. Very close to shuttle stop to slopes. Would definitely come back and stay here.
