Numerous maintenance deficiencies including: 1 Abundant rat droppings inside the kitchen island cabinet underneath the cooktop 2 Pools of standing water on the concrete floor in two separate areas of the lower level. The entire lower level had a bad mildew smell and black mold was present on the garage floor and wall 3 Most of the outside windows had broken seals which reduced visibility from the inside to the outside. There are no screens on any of the outside windows which meant we had to keep the doors and windows closed to prevent flies from inundating the interior spaces 4 There was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash provided in any of the showers 5 Shower handles in two separate showers were completely fallen off and at least one sink handle was dislodged 6 Only bath towels of poor quality were provided and there were no hand towels or wash cloths in the bathrooms 7 There were no large trash bins in the garage or extra trash bags provided and we had to purchase our own bags 8 There is no basic cable television. We had to use our own pay subscription to watch programming 9 No House Manual to describe how to work various appliances. 10 Unable to adequately cool the house as the air conditioning system was not operating properly 11 We had to reset the hot water heater tank in a dark musty closet in the lower level. 12 Many of the marble tiles in the foyer and kitchen were cracked or discolored with dirty, moldy grouting 13 No microwave oven in the kitchen 14 Gas regulator hose on the propane tank of the grill was stripped bare. We had to purchase one at Home Depot 15 The outdoor pool is inflatable, not a below ground pool. The hot tub is also a portable inflatable unit Other inaccuracies: 1 The house number for the address provided in the Property Information is incorrect. 2 The listing reflects 7 bedrooms but there were only 6 usable bedrooms. There was a room in the uninhabitable lower level that contained a bed with a bare foam mattress draped by a used towel and two deflated blow-up mattresses on the floor 3 The property summary refers to “2 additional rooms for sleeping” in addition to the 6 bedrooms, I’m not sure what that refers to? There was single bed at the end of a hallway landing and any space in the lower level is not suitable for renting Owner called me to demand a positive review in exchange for return of my deposit, really? I'm still waiting for refund-do not send this owner money directly and inspect house before booking

We used the house for our son's graduation from Yale. It was perfect. We did most of our eating at the house and the kitchen and BBQ were perfect. Would stay again if I was ever in the area.

We had a great time and would go again. The house is very nice, just like in the pictures. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this was on of the nicest.

Fantastic home - spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. Hosts were lovely and accomodating and went above and beyond to help. We will be back!

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend and had SUCH a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and so spacious. We each had a room and were able to be together without being in each others hair too much. The kitchen is gorgeous and it was a dream cooking there. It is located far enough away from the main highway that there is privacy, but it is still easy to get around. We enjoyed spending time together and playing game and getting some rest. The hosts are lovely and accommodated all of our non conventional needs. Defiantly make the trip to this amazing and relaxing location!

We rented this house for a family reunion and special occasion and we really had a fabulous time. It was nice for the whole family to come together under one roof and this house was perfect for our group. There were many different livings rooms to spread out over all with nice comfortable furniture and views of the property and it is really beautifully done on the inside. The grounds were also really beautiful and peaceful, we came just as all the flowering trees were starting to bloom, and we were blessed with nice weather so we got to take advantage of the outdoors and the patios, it was an all-around enjoyable few days. It was a great idea and we’re looking forward to doing it again sometime.

The house is truly beautiful and is just as handsome as in the pictures. Everything looks new or recently redone and the furniture was very nice and new too. The house is also a lot bigger than it looks, and the bedrooms are very large, really like nothing we ever saw before. Overall a great property, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves during our stay. The hosts were exceptional as well.
