We made our annual trip to Norris Lake this year and stayed at Sunny Disposition. The house was the perfect size for our group and the dock and cove were probably the best we have had in the multiple homes we have stayed in over the years. I love to read reviews to understand if the property is a good fit for my group and would like to provide that with this review. What we liked - The dock and cove were great - we hung out there everyday even during the storms and enjoyed the quiet. The paddle boards and kayaks were great. When we needed more air in paddle boards, Regina let us know where to find pump. Not a ton of stairs to water. We understand there is usually a walk so about 80 with multiple landings/decks was nice. Beds - super comfortable. The added 1/2 bath was great!The driveway was initially a challenge with boats trailers but once we figured it out - it was okay -alot of room for 2 trucks/trailers and could maneuver even with the boats! What was not so great - no Wifi or internet at the house. I missed this in the posting information. Some of us need to work a little each day so this was a major challenge for some. Overall I would stay there again as the location was really quiet and the dock and cove were one of the best! Thank you

This house has everything! Extra blankets and pillows, TVs in every room, fully stocked kitchen with ice machine, grill, kayaks, paddle boards, floats, even a PS2, diving board and air hockey table! Our stay was wonderful! We barely went to town because everyone was so content on the property. The cove is quiet with no boat traffic. We saw turtles, frogs and a tiny snake and caught bluegills off the dock. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at this Norris Lake home. It was clean and comfortable and very well equipped for fun and family time. The owner was very easy to work with and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this house for a great family vacation.

Our family had a fabulous time spending Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. The house is warm and spacious. The multiple levels of decks, balconies, and the floating dock really drew us to spend most of our time outdoors. We were unsure how much we would enjoy being on the lake, since it was the off-season, but it was a blast venturing off in the kayaks and paddleboards that are provided at the property. The property owner was very helpful and accomodating, and the communication was great. We hope to come back this summer! Thanks!

Few well maintained steps down the backyard takes you to the dock on the lake equipped with kayaks, tables makes it much enjoyable. We can still feel the morning fog on the lake and the view was worthwhile in itself.The house has all fully equipped kitchen and a patio grill and yes a firepit !! Bunk beds are fun for the kids. Ver near and clean, ample pillows blankets all of good quality. Only challenge is the cellphone and internet connection ( to consider if a choice for oneself), but standing in backyard or a few steps down to the lake should get you connected. Net plan ahead your trips and itineraries.Regina’s has been wonderful and quick in answering questions and giving fair answers building the right expectations. The house is gorgeous and what a peaceful location! We enjoyed a peaceful week and our parents joined us for the 2nd. The two main floor masters made this incredibly convenient and comfortable. There are a couple of things I wish I had been aware of prior to arrival. There is no landline and Verizon is the only service that will give you coverage in the house (it isn't strong, but allows for commumication). The stairs are a lot (totally expected and typical for the neighborhood) but the last two steps to the dock were missing! There is a rope to help you heft yourself back up the steps. If anyone has any physical issues or height concerns, this is not the place for you. The road to the house is a typical mountain, windy road and the driveways are steep, but once you get there and settled on the sofa or porch...you are all set!

Great location at the end of of a quiet cove. Minutes from Mountain Lake Marina. Property is clean & cozy but spacious. Charming lake decor. Kitchen is well stocked. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed the decks, swimming & fishing off the dock and the use of paddle boards & kayaks. Hope to visit again!

Had a great week long vacation at Sunny Disposition! The rooms were larger than we expected and the bunk room in the basement was a great space for the kids. Great location, cove was perfect for swimming and relaxing. The dock looks new and better than the pics on line. Regina was very responsive and easy to work with.

Our group of 12 truly enjoyed all Sunny Disposition had to offer. From the bunk room with air hockey to the kayaks on the lake and the comfy family room sectional we all had great things to say and remember about our stay. With 6 kids and 6 adults it can be hard to make everyone happy when choosing a vacation house. This property was a hit with everyone (including the picky teenagers). Regina was very prompt with communication and provided great details and helpful information about the house to prepare for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials and the dining table almost fit us all. We brought a folding table and chairs to accommodate our large group. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The decks were great with views of the lake and were lit at night along with the stairs. Many thanks to the owners for making their property available to us. We all loved our stay and the memories we made.

Great private setting. Perfect for a large or small group. Loved the lower level for the kids. All the extra amenities were a bonus. Very relaxing. We really enjoyed our time away.

Regina the owner was awesome with communication. The house is absolutely beautiful and had plenty of room for all of us. Stairs werent as bad as i thought they were gonna be, but still would be a challenge for older folks. The lake was absolutely awesome, and we couldnt have picked a better weekend to come. Weather was perfect. This house came with everything you would ever need. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your home. Only complaint, I had from family is that there is alot of poison ivy at the bottom of the stairs. My father got some on his arm, and I got it on my face, and my husband had some.

The property was great for our two families. Kids had plenty of room to run downstairs and two adult couples had privacy in the two master bedrooms. There were a lot of stairs going to the dock but we just made sure to take everything with us so we didn’t need multiple trips up and down. The cell service was non existent for us but was only a problem when severe weather came in a couple nights. Otherwise we enjoyed not being glued to our devices. Regina was great before and after our stay in terms of questions and concerns. I’m sure she would have been great during the stay if we needed her also :)

The steps were well lit and newer making the lake easily accessible. Regina was a pleasure to work with. All of our questions were answered quickly. While I enjoyed not having internet, WiFi, or cell service, others in our group were annoyed. I actually could not contact anyone, even the owner if we needed anything. It would have been nice to have 3 master bedrooms instead of 2. One couple had to leave their bedroom to use the bathroom in the hall downstairs. We were a group of 15 and did not feel overcrowded. If you want a laid back relaxing vacation, Sunny Disposition is the place for you. Thank you, Regina!

Everything was exactly the way it was stated. Plenty of things to do inside and outside. Property was well maintained and beautiful! We had a wonderful stay and hope to rerun soon.

We had as many as 18 family members at one point, including 7 grandkids ranging between one and 16 years of age. Everyone had a super time, and we never felt short of space. With plenty to do in the game room and all the water sports during the day, it was an excellent way to gather with family members from several states and have a nice reunion. We will definitely do this again in future years.

Stayed for 7 days with as many as 18 occupants at one point. Still had plenty of room without feeling cramped. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for several large and varied meals. Parking was no problem even with six vehicles, boat trailer, and tandem jet ski trailer. But by far the best feature was the beautiful, quiet cove that offered so much fun and relaxation for adults and kids alike. I would highly recommend Sunny Disposition to anyone looking for an excellent family vacation venue.

We loved the house, we loved the lake, we loved the private cove, we loved it all! This was our first time visiting Norris Lake and we are already planning our return. This home is beautifully decorated. Regina really did a great job! It was well planned out and accommodated all 15 of us very comfortably. The teenagers enjoyed the bunk room downstairs. The lake was clean and beautiful. We enjoyed having our own pontoon boat, kayaks, and paddle boards right at our very own dock. Great week!

My children and grandchildren enjoyed staying at your property. Easy to get up and down from the dock, easy steps, wonderful kitchen and plenty of rooms. I must say that while the kids and grandchildren loved taking their boat out to tube, a few of us enjoyed staying back swimming in our own private cove. It was so relaxing g!!! Great acimodations. We LOVED our stay at Sunny Disposition! Our family of 10 (4 adults and 6 teens) had the best time. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room for all of us. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable. The large kitchen table was perfect for all of us to gather around. The two refrigerators were great too. We only had to make one extra run to Wal-mart. We loved the multiple decks to hang out on. The kids loved having the entire downstairs to themselves. The house location tucked back in the cove was perfect for hours of floating, paddle boarding, fishing and just hanging out. We rented a boat for a few days from Twin Coves Marina and had a great time. We spent plenty of time at the jumping cliffs, tubing and even found our own favorite cove to drop our anchor and float in the water. Regina was wonderful to work with and was quick to respond to any questions that we had. We hope to be back at Sunny Disposition again next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
