We loved the house! There were 5 couples and we all had private bedrooms and bathrooms. Open concept and great amenities. The pool was the best. Spent hours there. We had a couple problems with internet service. It was not the greatest. One bedroom had AC go out and the host sent someone right over and fixed it quickly! You do need the AC due to heat and humidity. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. Last couple mikes on dirt road was a challenge but loved it when we got there. Small market next door for quick essentials. All in all we would come again.

Everything was wonderful! The house was spacious, pool great, walk to beach easy, and closeness to a few restaurants and a small grocery store also great! The whole family had lots of room and privacy when desired. The house manager was always prompt in response to any inquiries and the local personnel very pleasant and friendly! We hired a chef and 2assistants for our last meal from the the store next door (The Palm Beach—-?). The food was excellent and the staff very friendly! Overall a very positive experience making wonderful memories for all!

We had 5 families staying with us and it was great that each room (besides one) had an en Suite bathroom. The room with the twin beds did not have its own bathroom, but otherwise, it was great. The place was clean and besides the fact that the air conditioners had a hard time keeping up if you put them too low, it was a great place. There was a lack of cups (we ended up buying some cheap ones) but the kitchen was stocked with the basics. Maybe a few more sets of plates, silverware, and glasses would be good since we would run out after every meal. Everything was well maintained and the house was so close to everything.

This is the perfect home for multiple couples or large families. Tons of togetherness space, but also lots of privacy in all the individual bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool area is so great for gathering, having fun, and just relaxing. Small cafés in a store right next-door, but, no neighbors behind or on one side. So again, lots of privacy. Felt very safe. Short walk to the beach and other cafés. Daily light housekeeping from a wonderful, friendly caretaker. Daily pool cleaning and landscaping maintenance. Absolutely perfect stay.

There were 10 of us who stayed in the house and it was wonderful. Very comfortable and up to date living area and kitchen. Lots of room and privacy for each couple. The beach is so close and lots of little local restaurants within a short walk from the house. It was perfect

The house was beautiful! It offered everything we could possibly need. The outdoor area was absolutely stunning- that's where we spent most of our time. The beach equipment was a huge plus. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and a market all within a short walk. Beach was WONDERFUL and just a short walk. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was amazing. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Jennifer and Fresia are amazing. The neighborhood is friendly and has everything you need. We will be back soon.

We were a group of 4 couples. This property had everything that we could have asked for from the rooms to the pool and out door area. Loved the proximity to the market and the restaurants in the neighborhood. We were able to easily walk to dinner at Cantarana ( excellent breakfast) , dinner and live music at The Grateful hotel, boat taxi to Tamarindo and the beach. We will be back!

The house is all that you could want for a family (or not) vacation in a slice of Paradise. It's private and remote, but an easy walk to a market and handful of restaurants, and the beach, which is gorgeous and secluded. I would love to come back some day.

This was just a perfect place. Everyone had all the privacy they could want and all the togetherness to enjoy. The private beach was a short walk away, and the sounds and fragrance of the jungle lingered like an aura around the pool area with its lush, tropical landscaping. The neighborhood was charming, with small shops and restaurants in walking distance, but the drive to nearby towns was also easily accessible. The service by the caretakers was kindly and detailed so we really were on vacation, not just "keeping house" away from home. The kitchen was well appointed and large, so whatever cooking or pineapple shearing we did was done with ease in comfort with the whole family gathered around. We would definitely go there again!

We all loved the house, the pool and the location. Fresia and Jennifer are great. House and outside area was very spacious and comfortable. We were not disappointed with anything. There were 4 restaurants within close walking distance. A little grocery store next door. Very convenient. Beach was a 7 minute walk and is beautiful. Loved the sunsets. Great location and fun for ages 1 to 67!

We couldn't have asked for more. We loved the house and Palm Beach Estates. The beach is so quiet and beautiful. The house is conveniently located next door to a small store to buy things you may need and a restaurant. Make sure you meet Ernesto. He knows everyone and can help you find fishing trips etc. Anytime we needed something regarding the house Freesia was right there for us. We can't wait to return.

Everyone in the group agreed... this was best house we've ever stayed at. For context, me and a group of friends do an annual trip and have been for the past 15+ years. This house was perfect for a long weekend! With the king rooms with private bathrooms, everyone had their own space. The kitchen is well equipped, spacious and great for cooking (we caught a 35lbs mahi mahi). The backyard and pool area is a great place to relax and hang out. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat or grab an afternoon cocktail. Then there's Playa Grande, one of the best beaches in the area to spend the day and unwind. I wouldn't hesitate to book this house again.

Ive been to playa 3 times. To this place we will return. It was everything we needed and more. Space,pool, beach and bodega and restaurant next door! Best service attention everything playa has to offer!

An amazing property! Extremely well maintained, everything worked as expected, all amenities were in great shape. A perfect setup for our group of friends (3 couples) Very spacious. The backyard poolside gazebo was absolutely perfect. The VRBO listing photos are 100% accurate, this is a beautiful, bright, well-maintained property. Location is excellent, with easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants in Palm Beach estates (Café Mar Azul was our favorite). Property Management was helpful and responsive to questions. The caretakers were very friendly and attentive. Overall, we were very happy with our rental.

Beautiful, spacious, fully equipped home conveniently located near restaurants and within an easy 10 minute walk to Playa Grande, an amazing beach—clean, warm water, perfect waves. Jennifer, the very responsive property manager, arranged for airport shuttles, excursions and four chef prepared dinners. Daily housekeeping. This was our long-awaited, rescheduled (from March 2020!) family vacation. (3 grandparents, two couples and three grandkids, ages 6,7, and 8) It was perfect.

This home is beautiful with every possible amenity one would need. Immaculate and clean. Close walk to many restaurants and and beautiful beach. We felt safe and invited into the community and the culture.

Estrada del Mar was an amazing place to stay. This trip was planned for our family and my husband and me for our 35th Anniversary and my husband's 60 birthday (and because of Covid, his retirement). The entire house was beautiful and spacious. The pool was awesome. Our contact person/host Wally was so amazingly wonderful and helpful Fresia and Euri were the house staff and they were so great, helpful and sweet. My only "not happy with" comment is with the appliances. I am an amateur chef, so to speak. I prefer to cook all of our meals instead of eating out, especially with the health concerns. We caught fresh grouper and Mahi Mahi. However, the stove really only had two eyes that worked. And on day three, the left front burner went out and would not even light. There were three other burners that only gave a low flame that you could not cook with. There was a burner in the middle, a fifth burner that I used. But cooking fresh shrimp, fish and side dishes had to be done one at a time. That made it hard to prepare meals. A dinner that should have only only taken 45 minutes to cook took two hours. Also, the grill outside did not work and we had to have Euri come to fix it. However, once he go it started, it barely had a flame. Steaks and fish had to be taken off and finished inside. And lastly, the refrigerator didn't seem to work too well. The freezer would not always get real cold. Sometimes things seem to defrost. And the ice maker barely worked. There was one extra ice tray there but we ended up driving about seven miles to buy ice. If you are not a person that prefers to cook a lot, then this is your perfect spot. If you plan to cook mostly at the house, then prepare for long cooking times. We were a group of seven so it was a bit tough to try to prepare all the meals. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. We look forward to returning to this house.

What an amazing house in Playa Grande bear Tamarindo. Very tranquil area filled mostly with visiting families. Great little store and taco bar next door. The beach is a 5 minute walk, is huge and picturesque, and nearly empty. Even though Tamarindo is very close as the crow flies, there is a river between the two beaches, so it’s either a 35 minute drive or a short boat ride from the Hotel Bula Bula and a 10-15 minute walk. But Playa Grande is a world away from Tamarindo, which is very crowded with tourists. If you are looking for a very relaxing, tranquil sit to get your Pura Vida on, this house is perfect!

This house is huge and delivered everything we expected in terms of size and quality. For a large family (2 grandparents and 2 families each with 2 young children) it was perfect. There are 12 lounge chairs around the pool so no one was left out. The outdoor table made from Costa Rican wood was perfect for the outside chef cooked dinners we had and it provided a lively space away from the children after their bedtime. The walk to the beach only took about 10 minutes and was pleasant ....a good way to get moving after pool lounging. The beach has to be one of the best we’ve experienced(and we’ve lived in Bermuda) A gentle walk-in for the little ones, big waves for the surfer want-to-be’s in the family and miles of perfect running sand for the fit people in this crowd!Palm Beach estates is quiet with a couple of little cafes, a small convenience store (next door) and is away from the touristy Tamarindo, yet walkable to all of that. Honestly we just didn’t feel the need to go anywhere!The owner is easy to deal with and is quick in responding to questions.
