I'm not sure how this rental keeps getting good reviews!! My husband and I stayed here last week for our anniversary and we're less than impressed with the house. On our second night, the biggest cockroach I've ever seen came across the living room wall. We sent a picture to the property owner, who downplayed the matter asked if we wanted him to come spray! Shouldn't that go without saying?!? There is mold all over the ceiling of the bedrooms and bathroom. I understand that it is a damp environment and this will happen, but it appears that no effort was made to clean in between rentals. The location, just behind a restaurant, is very close to the dumpsters for said restaurant. Not too big of a deal until the winds pick up and the smell of seafood that has been steaming in the dumpsters all day is sent your way. The beds in each bedroom are about as soft and forgiving as a concrete floor. Speaking of the beds, one of the sheets and one of the blankets still had blood stains visible. If you plan to stay here anytime soon, know that the house next door is under construction. Typically not a big deal, but a section of the Tyvek home wrap has come loose, and even with the slightest breeze can be heard inside the home. We had the TV volume at max and still could hear it whipping outside. Lastly, and we just noticed this when we re-read the property description, we were never offered the $25 restaurant gift card that the description offers, so I guess you have to ask for it? Overall, we enjoyed our time at the outer banks, and will certainly return, just not to this rental!!

We had a great stay being here. The house was even better then the pictures.The place is kept very clean, and the pictures don’t do justice how nice the ceiling is. I love how it’s decorated. The home is close to everything. Kitty hawk, jockies ridge, manteo, tons of restaurants and shopping. Not to mention it’s right across the street from the beach. Awesome place to stay.

Great location , had a wonderful experience and enjoyed staying at the cottage. Perfect size place for singles, couples and empty nesters looking for a quiet, comfortable place close to everything. Our only issue which was not a big deal was the listing included washer and dryer. Luckily we brought plenty of things to wear.

This place was clean, very clean and they had the a/c on and the place was cool when we arrived, also had off street parking as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone.

The Outer Banks is one of my most favorite places to visit and so I had a fantastic time sharing it my mom! The cottage was perfect for the two of us and the public beach access was extremely close. She had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay at OBX in this nice cabin that fitted our budget. The cabin was updated, clean, spacious, and had everything that we needed. The air conditioners are in every room and pretty quiet. I was glad to see that there was a drying rack in the sunroom. It is the first owner who realizes that people will need to dry their bathing suits. Usually, during vacation, I am struggling to find a place in the cabin where to hang our wet bathing suits and towels. The location is nice because the beach is only 5 min. away and there some restaurants and shops walking distance. There is no good view from the cabin but you can't have everything!

very nice. the refrigerator needs fixing and so does range hood and light. A small vacuum cleaner would be a welcome addition. Management was very responsive. well stocked with cutlery pots pans dishes..

This place was absolutely perfect. Clean and updated just as advertised… The owners were very attentive and kind and even helped us look for some thing we thought we left behind after the fact lol but definitely recommend this place and will definitely be staying here again

I would easily give this property a 10 out of 5! My whole family LOVED the cottage--even both teenagers commented how great it was and much bigger inside than it looked. We all were very comfortable--with the 2 bedrooms, living room and sun porch, there was plenty of room, we did not feel on top of each other at all. The cottage was literally a 2 minute walk to the beach. It was fantastic being that close as we all were able to go and return whenever and as often as we wanted without having to constantly drive/pickup someone, and we didn't have to spend the whole day at the beach. It was very easy to go for sunrise, spend a couple of hours, go back for breakfast and then return to the beach for a few hours later. It was maybe a 10 minute walk to Janette's Pier, but a very easy walk with poles and gear. It is very convenient to shopping and groceries (food lion). The location is very convenient to Manteo, Kitty Hawk, KDH, Wright Bros Memorial, Jersey's Ridge, Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, Pea Island for those seeking shells! Patrick was wonderful to work with, and he went above and beyond preparing our charter catch. I most definitely recommend this property!!

The property is strategically located, close to stores and close to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and Patrick was very friendly.
