This house was able to accommodate our party of four adults and four children with room to spare. It was well equipped and pleasant.

We had a wonderful time here and would stay again for sure! We had 4 adults and 7 kids and we had plenty of room.

My group was very impressed with this gem of a property. It had all the comforts we could imagine, and more, and was in pristine condition. I was also extremely appreciative of Catherine's quick communication and attention to detail - her support helped make the trip even better and quickly sort out any issues we had.

We stayed for a multi-family long weekend get-away. Not only does the house comfortably sleep a large group, it also has a plenty of space to socialize. Very well appointed kitchen and lots of great perks like hot tub and game room. Easy walk to downtown Grass Valley. Host is very communicative and provides super clear check-in/out instructions. Plan to go back!

Plenty of space for our family of 12, fully stocked kitchen and toys for the little ones, fun area for teens if they need their own space😊 Hostess was very accommodating and helpful - I highly recommend A Victorian Rose!

Our group of women have known each other for many years. We try to have a retreat every few years just to catch up and for a few days love on each other, pray for one another and just relax. This cute little home was just right in that it had a lot of antiques and very nice furnishings. Everywhere you looked there was nooks and crannies and antiques. It really fit the bill for all our needs. We’re already reserved for another longer stay in the fall.

We were at the property for Thanksgiving. The homeowner was so sweet, thorough and generous. House is very well equipped for cooking at home. Super cozy, close to town, very quiet and plenty of room for a large group. So nice to find a clean home, and one that would take our doggies. We will be back!!

Cathrine was a gracious host and made sure our stay was perfect. Her home was warm and cozy, had everything we needed, and was a short walk to cute shops in Grass Valley. Perfect for our sisters getaway!

Eight of us 30 and over for a weekend to relax. Easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, shops and wine tasting rooms. Evenings were spent around dining table playing games. Plenty of room for 8. A few people used hot tub one night. Man Cave (garage) not really appealing for ladies, especially to sleep since no bathroom. TVs were in bedrooms in main house though.

Our family really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend stay at the Victorian Rose. Even with the temperatures in the 100's, out host was so kind in making sure the house stayed cool throughout our stay. This home has so much charm and special touches throughout that made all of us feel right at home. We would love to reserve it again for our future stays in Grass Valley. Thank you, Catherine for giving our family such a great time together.

Perfect place for our large family to stay while in town for a wedding in Rough and Ready. The home was even better than we expected. So clean, and plenty of beds, as well as things to occupy time for both kids and adults. The home had absolutely everything we could have needed. Catherine was a delight to work with. Will definitely book this place again next time we stay in the Grass Valley area.

The Victorian Rose is charming and even better than the pictures show. Our family came for a wedding and we had 8 adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for everyone! Within walking distance to downtown Grass Valley which was an added bonus. The owner is responsive and easy to contact if you have any needs. We would definitely stay here again.

We visited Grass Valley for my daughters wedding. Found this great house. It was in a great location. Everything thing we needed for our stay was provided. I highly recommend this property.

Absolutely loved this house. We had a group of 8 that stayed here for a wine tasting trip and the house was perfectly sized. We were close enough to walk to Main Street and enjoyed our entire trip. We will definitely be back.

She called a week before check in to confirm all the information and answer any questions and texted to check in to make sure everything was going well. Very friendly and flexible. The property is very well kept and a cute and cozy place to stay very close to downtown.

We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday and had the most wonderful time! The home was clean with full amenities. Catherine was attentive and kind, happy to help me make the most of our stay. We had so much fun and cannot wait to return! Would highly recommend to anyone!

The home was decorated for us for Christmas. It was a great location to celebrate with family. There is a lot of room for accommodating large groups. It's a beautiful home. We already want to stay again!

Stayed here with my brothers and their families to visit parents in Grass Valley, enough room for all of us and Thanksgiving dinner. Great place, centrally located, enough room for all of us with extra storage in the garage for our bikes, and the kids enjoyed having the hot tub too!

The Victorian Rose is a beautiful home. It is large and comfortable for big families. We had an amazing time staying there while we prepared for a wedding in the area. The location to Grass Valley and all the restaurants and shops was outstanding. Catherine was super helpful and just a phone call or text away if needed. We will be back!

This place is fantastic for a large group of people! It is very fancy with lots of antiques, so I would consider this before bringing kids - our kids are very well behaved and old enough to listen to rules and such. They weren't really interested in any of the furniture/antiques, so that made it easy! The garage space with tv, kicker and card table was great for playing games. The kids LOVED the spa and the little upstairs space with 2 beds - they each took one, started off in 2 beds and consolidated into 1 bed during the night. Super cute!One of our group had to do school (and zoom) for a lot of the days and the wifi worked for them, but when I had to work too, it didn't work so well, BUT if you use your cell phone, it can still work - good reception!!Additionally, in GV, there is a park with 2 huge slides, a huge spinning ball, swings and a zip line that we spent hours at. Lots of kids/families there - very wide open space.We loved our time there and had a blast!!! I'd also suggest checking out the nearby rivers - beautiful area!!
